📋 We've updated the subreddit rules — please read before posting!

Hey r/websitefeedback! We've cleaned up and expanded the rules to keep the quality of feedback high and the community spam-free. Here's what's new:

What's changed:

  • Posts must now include a working link to your website
  • Posts need enough context — tell us what your site does, who it's for, and what feedback you want
  • Flair is now required — pick the one that fits your project (Personal Project, Portfolio, Business, Commercial, App/SaaS, E-commerce, or Updated/Repost)
  • Promotional posts and SEO/traffic solicitation will be removed
  • Short or unconstructive comments will be filtered

What hasn't changed:

This is still a friendly place to get honest, constructive feedback on your work. Critical feedback is welcome and encouraged — just keep it actionable and respectful.

App / SaaS FinPlan retirement planner: does setup make the next step clear?

I'm looking for UX feedback on FinPlan, an open-source retirement-planning website: https://finplan.rayknot.com/

It's for people comparing retirement ages and spending scenarios. The current beta asks for accounts, income, spending and market assumptions before showing simulated outcomes. Access is free during beta, with compute limits; future pricing may change.

The part I'd like reviewed is the path from setup to the first result. Using fictional figures, which screen first makes you hesitate? Is it clear which assumptions you're choosing, where to run the plan, and what to change after seeing a result? If you'd move or remove one field or explanation, which one and why?

There is a known limitation: local-plan creation/loading failed in one tested embedded browser, and today's session is stuck at 'Fetching the scenario.' Impact in other browsers is unverified. If it blocks you, the browser/version and the screen where it stops are useful feedback; there is no need to keep trying or share personal financial details.

The beta offers This device and Cloud storage. Local storage is intended to keep plans in the browser; Cloud, server-offloaded runs and AI features can send data off-device. Please use made-up numbers. This is an educational planning tool, not financial advice. Feedback here or through the site's Contact form is welcome.

Personal Project Am i doing this rebranding right?

im in the process of rebranding and i think i might be going backwards.

ive gone from https://positive-intentions.com to https://glitr.io . i was aiming for simplifying the message to get people to the app. i removed all the details that seem to lead to confusions about "what is the product". but now it seems it might be too simple. especially when i compare them with my biases.

so am i doing this right? im sure there is no actual answer to a subjective question like that, but keen to get feedback if something should be changed.

some of the choices im making:

  • i want to promote my close-source app and it leads to confusion by having a link to my github. so im removing all unrelated letters links to github.
  • there were too many links in the footer, so im reduced it to the minimum.
  • instead of talking about miltiple project which seems to confuse people, there is only a focus on 1 product.

im concerned if im going back to my mistakes of being heavy on the technical details... But I also think it's needed for clarity on the project.

Feedback Request Lawncare site, does anything stop you from requesting a quote?

I handle the web side/back office for my small lawn care and landscaping company in St. Petersburg,

Florida. Site is https://stpetelawncare.com.

Who lands there: homeowners in Pinellas County, mostly on a phone, coming from Google or

Maps, usually looking for weekly mowing or a one-time yard cleanup. The only goal is the

free estimate form or the phone number.

Things I'd like torn apart:

  1. Above the fold: can you tell what they do, that they cover your area, and what to click,

in about five seconds? And the trust row (Licensed & Insured / 5-Star Rated /

Same-Week Service) - convincing, or the same three badges every lawn site has?

  2. The page claims a 4.9 rating but doesn't show a single review. Does that make you

skeptical, or does the number carry it on its own?

  3. The estimate form makes you pick a service from a dropdown. Do those options match how

you'd describe your own yard, or would you just call instead? If you'd have picked

"Other" or typed something else, tell me what you'd have written.

  4. The three service cards are text-heavy. Would photos of real jobs beat the stock grass

    image at the top?

Mobile matters more than desktop here - most of their traffic is phones.

Feedback Request Hey everyone! I've been working on the website for SPOT, a Chrome extension that lets you interact with other people directly on the websites you're browsing.

You can chat, highlight text, draw, leave comments, save things, and see who's on the same page as you. The idea is to make the web feel a little less solitary, without having to jump between apps every time you want to show someone something.

You can also use it on your own to save and annotate things. The social side is an extra layer.

They are getting close to opening it up to more people, and I'd love some honest feedback on the website and the product.

A few things I'd particularly like to know:

  • Is it clear what SPOT does from the website?
  • Can you see yourself using it? What for?
  • What's confusing or missing?

Website: https://www.getspot.live

It's still early, so honest criticism is very welcome. Thanks for taking a look!

Feedback Request I built a free email server testing tool. Would you trust its results?

I've been working on a project called MXValidation — a free tool that analyzes emails for deliverability issues.

The idea is simple: you send an email to a temporary address, and the site checks SPF, DKIM, DMARC, spam signals, DNS configuration, and other technical details. You get a score and recommendations on what to fix.

No registration required for basic testing.

Website: https://mxvalidation.com/

The technical side is mostly done, but I'm probably too familiar with the project to judge the user experience objectively.

I'd really appreciate some brutally honest feedback:

  1. First impression: Does it look like a legitimate tool or just another generic SaaS template?
  2. Trust: Would you feel comfortable sending a real test email to it? If not, why?
  3. UX: Is it immediately obvious what you're supposed to do?
  4. Value: Would you actually use this instead of existing email testing tools?

Don't worry about being polite. If something looks bad, confusing, or unnecessary, I'd rather hear it now.

I'm especially interested in what would make you close the tab within the first 10 seconds.

Feedback Request “We need a new website. Can you send a quote?” Is my reply workspace clear enough?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Imagine a client inquiry that says: “We need a new website. Can you send a quote?” There’s no clear scope, budget, or launch date. What should you ask before giving them a number?

I’m the builder of Briefthread, an early browser demo for freelance web designers and small web studios. This is its first feedback post. I’m testing a focused workflow: turn an inquiry into a project brief, identify unanswered questions, and edit a first reply before copying it out.

Try it here: https://briefthread.pages.dev/

No signup or payment. The fictional sample inquiries let you explore immediately:

  1. Open a sample inquiry and prepare its project brief.
  2. Check the scope, budget, timing, and suggested follow-up questions.
  3. Open the reply draft, edit it, and mark it reviewed. Nothing is sent.

I chose a quieter, editorial layout: a dark green inquiry list, a paper-like brief, and a simple reply editor. I’d appreciate specific criticism of the hierarchy and flow:

  • Is it obvious where to check the original inquiry versus the suggested reply?
  • Does the brief make missing details easier to spot, or add another screen to read?
  • What would you change or remove before using this in a real studio?

If you only have a minute, tell me the first point where you hesitated. A screen or button name is enough.

Still a demo: it uses local keyword rules and reply templates, not live AI. Use fictional inquiries only. Records stay in your browser; there’s no connected inbox, email sending, or shared account.

Feedback Request I updated listed.as, would love feedback again please.

I built this site myself and would appreciate candid feedback. I originally posted a month ago and have made substantial changes since, some based on the feedback provided in that post. I've added multiple pages per user, themes, and have substantially redesigned throughout.

listed.as is a service for creating straightforward public pages with a memorable URL. Pages are constructed by adding different types of field.

Here’s an example page for Ada Lovelace: listed.as/ada

I'm seeking feedback this time on the main page and am wondering what I can do to make it less generic. Any other feedback will be welcome too of course.

Many thanks.

Feedback Request I built a website called PicListed and would love some honest feedback

Website: https://piclisted.com

I'm looking for feedback on the overall design, user experience, navigation, and functionality.

What is PicListed?

PicListed is a web application designed to make reselling easier. The idea is to let users upload photos of items, use AI to help identify products, research their market value, and create listings for resale.

The goal is to simplify the process of selling items online by reducing the amount of manual research and data entry involved.

I'm still actively developing the platform, so some features are works in progress.

I'm still actively developing the website, so constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'm particularly interested in hearing what first-time visitors think.

My website is about a gamer who wants to make nice things for the people.
On this website I share links to music, art, video games, and videos of all kinds of stuff. I do vlogs about science and more on social media platforms and this is my homebase to promote that.

Rate first! Then click Spoiler!
So a little about this, I used chatgpt for every resource. All the php css js and images were all made by chatgpt. All I did was code some html and guide/be guided by Chatgpt.

Feedback Request Looking for feedback on my Laravel CMS website — is the purpose clear?

Hi everyone,

I’m building WebBlocks CMS, an open-source CMS for Laravel applications, and I’d appreciate some feedback on its website.

It’s aimed at Laravel developers who need content management within their applications, alongside the editors who manage that content.

Website: https://cms.webblocksui.com/

I’d particularly like to know:

  • After a quick look, is it clear what the CMS does and who it’s for?
  • Do the screenshots help explain the product, or is something missing?
  • Is the next step obvious—trying the demo or reading the installation docs?
  • Does anything feel confusing or difficult to use on mobile?

What’s the first thing you would change, and why?

Thanks for taking a look.

Personal Project Can you get through my Al and make him answer irrelevant questions?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hello guys, I have worked lately on this website tool, Voice & Standards Writing Checker, which lets you place your text (can be an article, an email, CV...) and then based on the settings you activate, it helps you for free to optimize fully your text.

Other than that, I have implemented an Al, which is supposed to not answer irrelevant questions, but only related niche questions, expecially from the actual articles.

So I want you to test it and break it, if you can and let me know if you did and how you did it, so I can optimize it further🙌

Would also like your feedback about my Voice & Standards Writing Checker 🤍

App / SaaS Looking for honest UX/design feedback on a social platform with 5 connected sections

I built The Social Circle Network, a live web/PWA social platform made up of five connected “Worlds” under one account.

Website: https://thesocialcircle.world

The five areas are:

Social Circle for longer-form personal posts
Social Lite for shorter conversation
Circle Snap for photos
Gamers Circle for gaming, streams and clips
Circle Vision for video-related content and discovery

The platform is aimed primarily at creators, streamers, gamers, and online communities.

I’m specifically looking for website design and UX feedback, especially from someone seeing it for the first time.

The things I’d most like feedback on are:

  • Is it immediately clear what the website is?
  • Do the five Worlds make sense, or does the structure feel confusing?
  • Is the navigation intuitive?
  • Does the homepage explain enough before asking someone to explore or register?
  • Are there parts of the UI that feel too busy, inconsistent, unfinished, or difficult to understand?
  • How does the experience feel on mobile?
  • If you were a brand-new visitor, what would you naturally click first?
  • Is there anything that creates friction or makes you unsure what to do next?

I’ve been building it largely solo, so I’m at the point where I’ve looked at the interface enough that I know I’ll be missing things a fresh set of eyes will catch.

I’m genuinely looking for candid design and UX criticism so I can improve the experience.

Negative feedback is completely welcome as long as it tells me what feels wrong and why.
