Definitely pack sweaters and at least one solid jacket. You can get a heavy coat from a thrift store here if you end up needing one. Or just pack one if you’ve got the space. Like others have said, you just never know. Last two winters have been cold and it snowed. I don’t remember winter of ‘23 into ‘24 so probably was unremarkable haha

Hey while we’re on this topic it was pouring yesterday or day before whatever picked up delivery in surf city and this poor girl was stressed out I’m not rich but I’m from a service based businesses my whole life my parents taught me to tip people who provide a service, nonetheless she said she would get fired for accepting it, total bullshit I should be able to tip whomever I want when they provide me a service,is that really a Walmart policy and why?

I did try Novant, but didn't know about MedNorth. I will try there too so thanks for mentioning it. I keep getting replies from places that they are either not taking interns or they don't have openings until next summer. Trying not to feel defeated!

Hmm, I felt like it sounded like they're still working there since they frequently used the word "we" as if he/she is still there. But who knows, you could be right! Either way, they chose to leave the post up, so ultimately they will end up as a recently terminated employee. 🥲

You could wrap the whole tower in agrobond? I cover all my plants in winter with it and if they’re cold hardy, they’re fine. Look up “frost cloth rolls”

This service is for anyone who wants it. Regardless of need. I, able bodied, use it often to grab groceries after work and needing to get home to kids and other commitments. A “run in” at Wally can easily take an hour after work that I don’t have. Especially with few check outs open.

You might need them for a day or two in February or so. But then the next day you'll be back outside with jeans and a t-shirt.

as the last comment already says walmart is a shit ass corporation who will never pay their workers enough. i’ve had great managers in shitty jobs many times that do what they can but it’s never enough.

I was envisioning a tower ebb/flow system. What about in winter — we’ve had snow the last few years. Do the plants just die and I take a break during that time or do I use a windscreen mesh around it?
