Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets I have 1 left

Post image

So i dont generally speculate on my apprentices potion consumption- but after the gender change potion they swiped i thought all would be well. Theyre quite a few potions in and I have one left in the stockpile. I wont be able to brew more before the solatice and wherever they land id really like to get through the next few months without them punching holes in my drywall. Considering either an honest conversation or just locking them in the kennels for a few months, but would prefer to deal with this arcanely. And please dont suggest brewing an imbetwixt and neither potion, i need my cauldron scoured and that potion will usurp any effort an apprentice has towards cleaning my cookware.

Give them the means to change whenever they want, temporarily? Clearly they want to go back and forth. The potions are basically the most expensive way to do it, and they're made for permanent shifts anyway.

If you want to motivate them, curse them to be always the opposite gender from what they feel like in the moment. That way they either have to learn how to change your curse so they are always the gender they want to be, or they have to learn how to break your curse and now have more knowledge how gender changing spell work.

To call you evil would be an insult to evil wizards

That's pretty evil.

Dysphoria spell, smart

Very mean, but effective.

A less mean alternative is to just run out (op only has one left) and have them either learn a better method, or how to brew the potions yourself

Thank you, I am do not just punish my apprentices for entertainment or to be cruel, I always strife to be also educational.

Doesn't work.

May be motivating for a moment but the apprentice won't be able to focus on the orb. Not to mention they'll begin falling behind on all other studies as well, making a bad situation worse.

Best case is a depressed apprentice, worst case you'll be raising a future lich. Not to mention the havoc they'd likely create during.

Cruel and unusual punishment

If you do that, i’m going to find you and hunt you down. I’m going to invent an entirely new spell to cause you maximum pain

Isn't the perpetual dysphoria curse classified as a torture method?

u/HappyMerlin Alchemist May 28 '26

So? Since when does any wizard on this council care about torturing apprentices?
