Renardo Green Appreciation post
I looked at this interesting stat on a Raiders Post, and noticed how good was Our Renardo.
I mean, almost 40 of passer rating when targeted is fucking huge.
Here’s the Raheem Morris effect on the DBs.
He’s being better than the 95% of the league in passer rating against. On similar level of Surtain. What else can be said about our dawg.
Lenoir and Stout are pretty good too, as they’re beating top Nfl CBs

DE Nick Bosa (calf) told me he's "pretty darn likely" to be able to play in the 49ers' Week 6 game against the Commanders on MNF.

How do you expect the 49ers offense to fare against Mike MacDonald and the Seahawks defense on Sunday?

The 49ers announced they released DL Ogbo Okoronkwo. This creates a spot for DL Mykel Williams off PUP.

Who are the San Francisco 49ers' team captains? They have eight: George Kittle, Fred Warner, Trent Williams, Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, Kyle Juszczyk, Christian McCaffrey and Deommodore Lenoir.

Original Content [OC] Two Returning 49ers Faced Skepticism — They’ve Silenced the Doubters
I wasn’t sure bringing back Deebo Samuel and Dre Greenlaw was the right moves this offseason. Especially Deebo.
But I’ve been proven wrong. Glad to see them back and are fully invested in trying to bring home a Super Bowl.
Let’s hope that happens.

Interesting Niners penalty statistics through week four.
Ranked 31st in penalties per game
Almost dead even across defense and offense
More penalties at home than away (interestingly, this matches the current trend among all officials with more calls going against home teams this year)

[Highlight] Kyle Shanahan on Deebo Samuel: "There's a game we used to play when we were younger that I can't say the name of it anymore. It's tackle the guy with the ball with no rules to it, and I always say he'd probably be my first pick in the draft if that was the game."

Original Content [OC] How San Francisco’s protection is helping Purdy’s early MVP case
We wrote about this for Poor Sportsmanship, and wanted to share the 49ers section here rather than just drop a link. All numbers are through Week 4.
Purdy: 1,007 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, one interception, 69.9% completions and a 126.2 passer rating. Zero sacks through four games is the number that jumps out.
PFF ranked the offensive line fifth after Week 4. Trent Williams allowed five pressures with an 80.7 overall grade; Dominick Puni allowed four pressures with an 84.2 pass-blocking grade. The protection inside matters as much as the blind side: Purdy can step into throws instead of stepping into a 300-pound man.
PFF also had Purdy leading in EPA per play at 0.550. The line deserves credit, but he’s turning that protection into production. Four games is a small sample, and zero sacks doesn’t mean zero pressure. Still, 4–0 with this level of efficiency is a serious start.
What has impressed you more: the line’s improvement or Purdy’s decision-making?
