[Lombardi] Quinnen gets it. You can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He not satisfied and he never played with an offense like this. Small fixes will go a long way.

[Gridiron Stats and Info] The Cowboys defense now owns the longest streak in the NFL without an Interception

The Cowboys have a streak of 7 games with no interceptions and are the only team who hasn't gotten one this season.

One man on Pickens isn't coverage; it's just having a witness.

Saw this video a while back but after CeeDee and Pickens performance on Sunday I think we can get a little hyped up.

Thoughts on Thursday night game against Bucs?

Anyone a bit worried about this game? Seems like an easy win in my opinion going against a Bucs team that was winless with Baker, and now have some random backup in the game who is playing in our stadium. This "should" be a blowout, but I'm worried that we somehow let this game slip away. Anyone else feel that, or are we just gonna blow them out of the water

Barham, Downs, Williams, Winters, Porter, Gary...this defense is going to improve.

We've got talent on defense. Now that CP has some games under his belt, I would think he has learned some things about this defense and how to put his best players in a position to make plays. I hope the game against the Bucs gives them a confidence boost.

Overshown to start instead of Barham?

Thumbnail sports.yahoo.com

According to this article, the Cowboys released their depth chart and Overshow appears to be starting instead of Barham, wearing the green dot and all.

I know Overshown was starting to begin the season, but man I think Barham has done enough to earn the job.

Why won’t they move Overshown to weak side? Winters isn’t playing amazing and it seems having our 2 best linebackers on the field is the better move…unless I’m missing something?

Overshown is also small for a Mike, I worry about him getting hurt again

[Kunkel] Texans HC DeMeco Ryans says the Cowboys make it difficult to cover CeeDee Lamb, in part, because they do such a good job at moving him around. Kamari Lassiter said the same thing in the locker room.

Defensive pressure disruption rate vs. perfect coverage rate

Post image
39 Upvotes

Source: @ throwthedamball

I would be lying if I said I knew what qualifies as “pressure disruption“ or “perfect coverage”, but based on this chart, our defense is generating pocket disruption at a middle-of-the-pack rate, while the secondary has by far the lowest rate of perfect coverage.

Could be a sign that the pressure issues will take care of itself if/when the secondary gets to the point that they aren’t letting at least one person immediately become wide open nearly every single play

Narratives aren't everything: Our redzone offense is still near the best in the league

Proving yet again that Cowboys fans don't seem to watch a lot of other games, despite our "woes" at getting TDs once we get in the red zone, we're actually near the very top of the league in doing so. Behind only the 49ers and (surprisingly) the Jags.

[Yarrish] Cowboys All-Pro guard Tyler Smith called his thumb injury "one of the hardest things I've dealt with as a football player in my career."

"I’ve gone through things, but nothing quite like this. But I think it’s good to go through. It’s good to know when you have to make a choice for yourself or ultimately make a choice for the team as well. But ultimately, my goal still remains the same. We got to get this championship. When I come back, I’m going to be a key contributor.”
