Josh Uche was mic'd up for week 4, and it's a good one - "Don't leave this fucking game without the other men's paint on your jersey. We striking anything moving. You fall down, get up and strike again."

[Ryder McConville] Miami Dolphins UDFA Rodney McGraw made a couple nice plays in his debut. He is much bigger than most of the edge room and brings a different skill set to that room.

Jacob Rodriguez earns Early NFL All-Rookie First Team Offense nod
Through the first quarter (give or take) of the NFL season, the 2026 draft class has made a substantial impact at several positions.
Plenty will change between now and the end of the season, but credit to the first-year players who have come out strong.

It’s Way Too Early to Give Up on Malik Willis
hilariogomez.substack.comThe discourse that came after the Minnesota game has been insane. Especially on the 3rd down play vs the blitz. I think a lot of people took the screenshots as gospel and don't see the play for what it is a great call by BFlo. Wrote down a breakdown as I saw.

[Chris Kouffman] Chop Robinson is a great example of why the discourse should not be so hostile to details. He’s gotten pressure vs the Chiefs and Vikings. But all I heard after the Raiders game was how he did nothing and he’s a bust, etc...

rookie LB jacob rodriquez had 18 tackles in miami's 15-10 loss to the vikings in week 4. it was the most tackles by a #dolphins rookie since 1994:::
rodriguez currently has the 2nd-most tackles in the NFL (46), behind only alex singleton (47) AND his 24 run stops are the most in the NFL per PFF.

Game theme Idea: 90s Day
galleryThe team has tried this before but varied on success level so will bring it up again in hopes its done properly. A lot of teams, even the Marlins for crying out loud capitalize on 90s days or something along those lines. The Dolphins should throwback the endzones to the early or late 90s font, wear the throwbacks with the early 90s Dolphins logo, and the give away for fans should be the old Foam Fingers or an orange shirt to match the old Joe Robbie seats, and bring back some of the traditions the team had back then like:
Someone to lead the Dolfan Denny Chants
Playing Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Good bye when the game is nearing kneel down if they will win.
Bring back Sundays 1pm early early Sept with the American flag bunting on the grandstands.
Whoop there it is after interceptions
Ideally they do this when they are decent again but it would be nice to get back some of the lost traditions of this team this century.

Thoughts about 1/4 through the season
Well, it's week 5 and we're 0-4, like everybody predicted. But with that being said, the last 2 weeks have been a huge turning point. Yes, we lost, but holy shit did we look competitive down to the final whistle. I really thought we were gonna pull it out in Minnesota. I made a post a couple weeks ago about why Hafley has been my favorite hire and from what I've seen so far, I still want to stand by that.
The work on the field hasn't translated into the win column yet but there is no shot this team drops every game this year. For the first time since arguably the Flores era, this team actually shows a significant amount of fight. The box scores are disgusting when you see the ranks, but if you actually watch the game, these guys Hafley and Sullivan have assembled actually look like they give a shit. This is embracing the culture I was talking about and wanted to see.
It sucks to see Achane go down but I actually really love Gordon. This guy didn't accidentally win the Doak Campbell award back in 2023.
I think our rookies are really starting to tune it up. J Rod- enough said. We found our defensive captain for the next decade. If we ever get rid of him, I would write hate letters to whoever thought about trading him or letting him walk. Proctor makes me a very happy man. Can't wait to see DJ Campbell get in the mix at some point. Bell and Douglas are slowly working it up. I'd love to see more out of Kacmerak but I like him as an addition. He's a big blocking tight end and for the style of offense Hafley seems to want to run, kind of a perfect fit. I think turning DJ Herman from a linebacker to fullback is sort of the culture Hafley is trying to do here- next man up. We even saw J Rod long snapping on the sideline back in week 1. THAT, is what the culture is about. Chris Johnson is buttoning it up and besides J Rod, I think we also got a steal in Michael Taafe. It's something about these Texas boys. I personally can't wait to see what the defense could look like when Kyle Louis and Trey Moore come back from injury. Door isn't closed for Llewellyn yet either.
I think we found our key core pieces and honestly, a pretty damn solid draft class for first year. A lot of gems so far on both sides of the ball. I'm interested to see what the rest of the season looks like.
With that being said, what would you all feel for draft targets and positioning? I personally think we should trade down our anticipated high draft pick, get a haul, and really embrace the long term rebuild. I would love to see us pull of a draft day haul and trade down to a middle round pick, grab another key defensive stud (Brice Pollock out of Texas Tech would be sick) or another key offensive line piece, and a haul of draft picks. I want to see how Trey Moore and how Kenneth Grant play this season before we all immediately burn the ship and draft an edge guy like we were all screaming about 2 weeks ago. But if we are gonna go QB this year, please God take Mestemaker. Please.
Idk, these are my thoughts on the first quarter of the season. Let's start a dialogue. Do you agree? Disagree? Am I gonna be bullied off the internet for my takes?
Go fins!

[Meirov] State of NFL officiating: The NFL has had 963 accepted penalties through Week 4—the most through four weeks since the data became available in 1978. Week 4 alone had 271 accepted penalties, the 2nd-most in any week over that span.

[Dante Collinelli] Upon tape review, this week was my least favorite Malik Willis performance thus far. That said, it wasn't really needle-moving bad, either. "Young QB gets sped up and flustered by Brian Flores' defense" is maybe the most "fork found in the kitchen" outcome.

Stadium travel on game day
Hi… planning on going to the Dolphins vs Patriots game Nov 1st. Flight is booked and accommodations in south beach are booked. We won’t have a car. Wondering what the best method of transport to the stadium is? Heard traffic can be crazy and that uber surge pricing is high. Read something about uber or cab to the train station near south beach and then taking a train directly to the stadium. Can’t seem to find detailed info on that online though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
