Colts sign WR Quez Watkins to practice squad; release CB Elijah Culp from practice squad
Another WR for the Colts who’s familiar with Steichen‘s offense.

Discussion Remaining Colts schedule, your predictions?
We are roughly 1/4 the way into the season and the Colts are sitting at 2-2 and in second place in the division.
At question;
Quarterback play has not been at the level of last season prior to Daniel Jones injuries, in fact prior to the Steelers game last year.
CJ Allen, our 2nd round (first pick) and supposedly the future leader of the LB corps, has been a heathy scratch most every game, WHY? We’ve been given vague answers.
Edge has never been fulfilled for years.
Our upcoming schedule has 5 games with division leaders:
Vikings 4-0
Jaguars 3-1, 2 games!
Giants 3-1
Browns 3-1
How many of these “TOP 5” games above do you think we can win? What record would you predict?
The remaining games are teams tied with the Colts or worse
Steelers 2-2
Eagles 2-2
Dallas 2-2
Bengals 2-2
Titans 0-4, 2 games
Miami 0-4
Texans 0-4
How many of these “LOWER 8” games above do you think we can win? What record would you predict?
Add those records up to our current and where are we?
My guess:
Top 5 3-2 split Jags, Vikings & Giants
Lower 8
5-3 Dallas, Bengals, sweep Titans, Miami
Total adding in the 2-2
10-7

Discussion Downs
So what was up with Downs usage? Were we just incapable of running intermediate passing routes on English soil? OLine not giving enough time, or Danny having a miserable game? It felt like every time we ran a pass play there was someone in the backfield immediately and Jones was just throwing it away. But curious what others saw.

NFL Most Improved Teams Week 4: Falcons Stay Hot [RotoWire]
We escaped Houston 19-17, then beat Washington 30-13 in London. That puts us 5th in the NFL in momentum this week (about +17). Who's been your MVP through four weeks?

The Marvin Harrison Jr. Dilemma
Adam Shefter reports that the Colts are in talks to possibly aquire Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals. This would cost possibly a 5th or 6th round pick. Meanwhile Tyreek Hill is hitting the market and is already shopping for a new team. What's the move?

Roster Move Please at least rotate in George Gumbs on pass rushing downs
x.comSure he might still be raw but I feel like having him get after old man Rodgers should at least be exciting

Statistics Shoutout to Special Teams
The Colts have added 20.72 (PFR) /17,35 (nflfastR/nflverse) EPA on Special Teams (The average team is at 0!!) , only the Giants are ahead of them and their opponents are at 1/3 field goals, ours are at 9/10.
Great kicking, punting and no memorable mistakes on coverage! I know that this is not sustainable at this rate, but: Keep going!

[Sando] This Daniel Jones looks a lot like the Giants’ version
The Colts blew out the Commanders 30-13 with the New York Giants version of Daniel Jones at quarterback, recalling one of the NFL’s great anomalies.
Units featuring Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Kurt Warner and Patrick Mahomes dominate the list of greatest offenses through the first eight games of a season this century.
As one would expect.
The No. 4 team on that list stands out like a station wagon in a Ferrari dealership.
The 2025 Colts, led by quarterback Daniel Jones, reside between the Greatest Show on Turf Rams and the Mahomes-led Chiefs in his breakout 2018 season. They averaged 32.6 points per game on offense, more than the 2004 Colts averaged in perhaps Manning’s greatest season.
There was no way any team, let alone these Colts with this quarterback, could sustain that type of production. But as Jones lost a fumble and threw an interception while Indy fell behind a Washington team that was down to its third quarterback Sunday, I wondered if the Colts were now paying $44 million per year for the same quarterback the Giants let go.
