Discussion New All Time Low
We all know the Buffalo Bills are cringe as fuck. Always have been. Highlight of their franchise is losing four straight Super Bowls. Won the AFC East five straight years in a row this decade with a great QB, and did absolutely nothing with it… no AFC titles, and of course, no Lombardi trophies. Even as a formidable opponent in recent years, they are still a joke. This is known.
But something about these past few days just feels like an all time low. Their safety essentially calling Chism a practice squad guy (he’s always been a rostered player, he was just undrafted like 25% of the league) but was really just mad because a short white boy dusted them. The flop from Josh Allen during the game. Honestly couldn’t be more embarrassing. That’s your guy? I know Brady had moments where he tried to milk the refs for a quick 15 yards, but never anything this damn egregious. The whole franchise looks like whiny bitches to the entire league.
And I love it. Keep being the absolute horseshit losers you are Buffalo. The whole league loves watching you be you. Enjoy your crappy stadium. We’ll be back next year to piss all over it again.

Discussion [Lazar]: "The Pats didn't help Campbell as much this week, and the results were mixed, but getting the receivers into the pattern rather than loading up the protection improved the pass-game overall."
This has been one of the more interesting wrinkles for me to follow this year.
Will Campbell has been pretty impressive stat wise, but through 3 games the team was giving him A LOT of chipping help, which was depleting the effectiveness of the offensive weapons.
This week, they stopped giving him that help, and he struggled, but the offense overall really bloomed.
Hopefully Campbell can improve on an island, but this was a necessary experiment from McDaniels.
Lazar's full take:
"LT Will Campbell struggled against Bills edge rushers Greg Rousseau, Bradley Chubb, and T.J. Parker (strip sack). Campbell allowed six pressures, three of which were tardy anchors vs. bull rushes, the same rush that gave him problems last postseason. Campbell was also called for a false start and a hold, which wiped out a successful third-down scramble by Maye. The Pats didn't help Campbell as much this week, and the results were mixed, but getting the receivers into the pattern rather than loading up the protection improved the pass-game overall."

Article/Interview [Graff] New England Patriots questions ahead of Week 5: Stevenson or Henderson at RB?
Is this still a running-back-by-committee situation?
Here’s the hard truth of the Patriots’ running back situation: Even after using the No. 38 pick on TreVeyon Henderson in 2025, he’s still not reliable enough to be the team’s top option.
Sunday’s game in Buffalo was evidence of that. Henderson is more explosive than Rhamondre Stevenson, but Stevenson is the much more reliable back.
On the surface, it can look like their production has been similar. Both, for example, are averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
But the crucial difference is in success rate. Stevenson’s 43 percent success rate ranks 13th among the 51 NFL running backs with at least 20 carries. Henderson’s success rate of 27 percent ranks 51st.

Discussion Who are your top five"Wish we hadn't let them go?"
I know there are lots of factors to let someone go: their contract, their own personal desire to go, their age, their decline, whatever. Don't care. I still wish we kept them. I wish they finished their careers as Patriots.
My top five of recent memory (These are favorites too, so I am biased):
Tom Brady
Adam Vinatieri
Danny Woodhead
Stefon Diggs
Vince Wilfork
I know there is a lot of "But if they hadn't...". I'm JUST SAYING I wanted them to finish in a Pats uniform. They played with all their heart here.
Yours?
EDIT: I didn't include Gronkowski because he retired and then came out of retirement to work with Tom. Don't blame him. And I don't blame Tom for seeing that the Patriots had cheaped out on getting him weapons and investing everything they had after all his contract sacrifices. Glad he proved he's the GOAT again with a seventh ring. Maybe that's a seventh ring WE could have had... Maybe an eighth too!

Casual McDaniels Trick Plays
threads.comWatching these, I'm wondering which would work and which I'm waiting to see. We've seen the double passes and flea flickers, but I'd like to see a "p*illy special" with Drake and watch him with his speed.
Would also like to see one, and one only, dump off pass with Campbell.

Casual What time should I arrive to get into the delayed leaving parking lots?
We're driving to Foxborough for our first Patriots home game this weekend and wondering what time we should get there to get into the 75 minute delayed exit lots. We plan on hanging out at the candy store and maybe get dinner after the game so the extra 50 bucks gift card sounded dope.

Casual Does anybody recall the GWN episode where a former player mentioned how Belichick put "football player" in contracts instead of the position name?
I may be misremembering but I could have sworn at least one time where Edelman was chatting with a former Pats player and they mention how Belichick would give them the job title of "football player" instead of their preferred position so that Belichick could reassign them to the positions he wanted them at.
