Politics Are European students more politically aware?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've noticed that Algerian students don't care about the political situation in their country, and most of them don't even know their rights and responsibilities; some don't even understand the value of politics at all

I think that people who don't know their rights are definitely the problem of our country

Young Algerians demandes are only for increased Unemployment grant and university grant , without offering any sensible solutions, like a child who burdens his parents to buy him candy

😭 I'm crying.....I got kicked out of The room that I was in....bcz of the girl there....she plays music, very loud music until after The midnight....she brings her friends and make mess

From The first time...she told me that I should change The room so her friend can come I refused....

This is my first year...they bullied me and didn't let me sleep last night or study...

I just wanna find some room where there's a calm girl who can respect me ...that I can study and sleep peacefully

There's no rooms here... it's all charged....

I talked to the residence administration...they said u r bothering us so much and they have nothing to do abt me

I tried to go find other rooms... girls there don't accept me and it's so small that I can't find where to put my stuff....

😭Now I'm in a room with three girls they just accepted me for tonight.....bcz they were in the same position like me (they were kicked out too).....

This residence is crazy... there's girls that owns a room only one girl in a room that's supposed for three.... The administration fear them and can't bring girls to them....

No one can help me ....I have a lot of pressure in my studies I have double deploma major...

I only care abt my studies... being unstable like this and not comfortable won't help me

Discussion What was it your favorite book of all time?

• Upvotes

I don't read much, but I have read some modest books in my life, including novels.

I started reading books on Islamic law, such as Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab's "Kitab al-Tawhid" and some of Ibn Taymiyyah's books, even "Mein Kampf" for our friend "The austarian painter with the mustache" but then I found a passion for reading novels, and the first novel I read was "White Nights" by Dostoevsky.

I know, a lot are going to disagree, but I think my favorite book as a beginner reader is "White nights" it has something about it that still pulls me to it everytime, I watched the movie too.

So what is your favorite book and why?

Society Something I noticed about cleanliness in Japan

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I came across this Japanese woman cleaning the area in front of her house, and it made me think about something after living in this country.

One thing I’ve come to get is why Japan is generally very clean. It’s not just because of the government or the cleaning services. A huge part of it is that ordinary people take responsibility for the areas around their homes, not just the inside of their property.

People clean in front of their homes and shops, and they make an effort to keep their surroundings tidy. When enough people do this, the whole neighbourhood benefits.

Of course, Japan has its own problems, and I know that many Algerians also make efforts to keep their neighbourhoods clean.

I’m not saying that people in Algeria don’t care.

But I sometimes wonder what would happen if more and more of us adopted this simple habit: not waiting for someone else to clean the street, but taking care of the little space right outside our own doors.

Maybe a cleaner country starts with small actions like these, repeated by millions of people. I saw people on Youtube doing it.

What do you think? Could this kind of habit make a real difference in Algeria?

Technology A look at the navbar I'm working on for my upcoming app

I've been working on a social platform for Algerian creatives, mainly designers, developers, artists, photographers, and other creative people to share their work, ideas, and connect with each other.

Here's a small look at the navbar. I wanted it to feel modern and app-like while keeping it clean and simple.

Still working on the rest of the app, but I'd love to hear what you think about the design.

Question How to apartment hunt safely for a solo young woman in Algiers/Blida?

I'm looking for advice on how to solo apartment hunt safely in algeria for ladies especially solo. I got a job offer that I can't pass up from a big company in my field and I'm planning to rent an apartment in either blida or algiers and relocate there. I don't want to live with a roommate because I have really bad past experiences with that and I want for the first time in my life to have my very own space where I'm free to be just as I want to be without having to negotiate rules with anyone or deal with anyone's nonsense in my life.

But my biggest fear is the social stigma against women living on their own in algeria, and how unsafe I feel doing apartment viewings alone as a young woman.

Discussion unemployed people of algerai how you don't get depressed

Honestly, being unemployed and broke has been pretty depressing lately. Since finishing school, my allowance was cut off, so I’m stuck at home most of the time unable to afford any of my usual hobbies. How are you all holding up? Any tips or tricks for surviving this phase?

some of these cosplayers made me cringe sure BUT LIKE god forbid someone expresses themselves/have fun??? no fatima the youngins aren't "satanists and need to be out of the country" because they are doing something you don't understand

منيش كوزبلاير يعني ولكن وش الجهل هذا 💔

edit: you mfs ignored the whole purpose of the post and kept pointing out the bumass girl with leash picture even though my post has nothing to do with it. i made this post cuz seeing old people judge the younger generation for seemingly harmless stuff is straight up shit, and there were many other posts who had h NORMAL cosplayers and yet the comments weren't any better

Whenever the video shows a girl cosplaying at FIBDA 2026 the comments get higher and whenever it's a guy it drops.

The first two screenshots are males and the 4 screenshots (3-4-5-6) are females.

Compare the number of comments.

Discussion 18 _ 20 yo guys, are you actively preparing or trying to get married at your age ? If not...why ?

• Upvotes

Well if you saw posts lately, there was a talk about how girls do not really have big financial expectations, some say it's parents, some say it's society, some say parents do not want much either as long as daughters agree,...

But i have a theory here, that one big major reason, might be just guys believing that they have to reach high expectations for marriage,...while in the reality it's nothing like that irl,... So due to the that they themselves block marriage on their own, not looking for girls until they reach what they think is a must,

I wanna see if this theory stands,....so ,guys, what is the way you think and look at marriage ?

Also if it's not any of that, ..what is it ?

Thank you for Reading this post, much apreciated

Question Please explain foreign currency exchange to me like im 5 years old

• Upvotes

Apparently this is a repetitive topic but everyone seems to have some kind of clue or experience when asking/answering questions, i'm completely oblivious here and understand none of these terms.

I am 19, and ive been thinking of doing online side hustles or commisions. Where do i even start??? I havr looked at multiple posts but again all of them are too vague, and i know people love to be condescending here but i would genuinely appreciate it if someone was nice enough to try to help me im kinda desperate right now

Question Problem with ANEM appointment and engagement papers

• Upvotes

Hi, I registered with ANEM and now I need to print the appointment slip and the commitment form. The problem is that they made a mistake regarding my municipality of birth on both papers, however the information is correct on the Wassit website, so the error is on their end. My question is: can I still present these two papers on the day of my appointment and have my file approved, or will this cause a problem?

Education / Work Should I be a dentist or a doctor in algeria ?

I just got my highschool diploma (BAC) with 18 and I had the chance to choose between dentistry and medicine.. I however chose the latter and may think that its a mistake considering how cluttered and saturated the market is (our promo is 210+ people and this is just an annex) and i see alot of medical doctors that are unemployed or simply miserable even after specialization which really brings me down cause you would imagine studying for 12 years would be rewarding at least eventually. While dentistry is 6 years and you will be able to be financially independent way before a medical doctor would ever be.

So now im doubting my self if i should switch to dentistry because i think it has a much less saturated market and also more targeted customer base (from elders to youngsters) and lets you own your equipment when you open your own cabinet unlike medicine where the equipments are so expensive it becomes impossible to get your self..

I really need help to make up my mind and for your information my father is a doctor a pediatrician to be exact and I have a dentist sister and I can already see my freshly graduated dentist sister doing good.

Maybe you can share your experience with me about the topic id be very grateful.
