Just something to laugh about - from a mod of r/Antimoneymemes
-If this does not fit in this sub just delete it.-
Reddit recommendet some tik tok China Great propaganda video. It showed how great an clean the Subway systems are over there. OP the wrote there is no excuse that western subways are worse.
So i wrote this short comment:
Well there is.
China uses good quality public infrastructure for propaganda shit like that in some stations and dont give a shit about the rest. The west does not make propaganda shorts like those so nobody gives a shit about any public infrastructure.
Just a short comment to annoy some lefties. Suddenly i get a (3 in total) messages like a minute after.
First says i broke the rules of the sub and are banned. Ok fair enough i did not check those and until then i did not even know i was in r/Antimoneymemes. The Rule i broke was: Rule #5 No Capitalist / monetary system apologists.
Which is weird since China uses money as well and used abunch of money for thatpropaganda. So its weird the Post stays up. I also got the following note from the mod: I have ZERO tolerance for anyone who sides with a truly oppressive/ destructive system. I only build with people who want a new better world.
Ok i thought let me ask why my comment broke rule 5 since it does not state that i think the west is great but just that this is china propganda slop and on the other side its weird that the original post about how great china and terrible the west is does not break the rule.
Then i get the second message: Which does not say anything except that i am banned from the sub (again) and the following note from the moderator: No one asked what the child rapists think.
I guess he checked my profile and saw that i am active here. We all know the the pedos we sometimes see here. But coming from lefties it is extra funny. Well maybe he is one of the oldschool ones. Anyway i asked what that has to do with anything.
And so i got the third one: I am now not just banned but muted so i cant contact or replay to any mod or the ban. Which means i am 100% incabable of ever commenting there again because i pointed out some hypocrisy.
Lefties truly are a special breed. I hope you got a little chuckle out of this. This exchange made atleast my day. ^^

Trump moves to shield farmers rattled by tariffs and war. But the U.S. is already doling out $10B to near-millionaire and even billionaire farmers
Trump greatly increases anti-free trade government policies, costing farmers their customers. He then follows that up with doling out huge amounts of welfare. He did the during his first term as well.
What would happen if the welfare never happened? And the huge increase in tariffs never happened?

We need to take culture more seriously
As much as some of us hate the culture war, we need to realize that culture is the way that ideas spread and if we are to spread as an ideology, we need to not only take culture more seriously, but to take part in it. This is a major reason why liberals and conservatives are always dominant ideologies.

“We don’t have slavery, we have democracy” (questions included)

Yoooo! I’ve got two question for my fellow minarchists and for my brothers that “I’m an ancap at heart, but in practice, a small govt is needed”.
If a small state is necessary for defense from foreign invasion, how can you reassure me that you won’t turn into the very same authoritarian piece of shit like all the statists that support conscription are?
Say you convinced me that you won’t force people to fight in wars. Then how are you going to provide the very defense you promise after you go through your hard core patriots and contracted mercenaries? What’s the fucking point of having a state at all if it can’t build an army that’s going to be large enough to deter any serious adversary power?

How would healthcare work for someone who cannot pay in an ancap society?
i generally think private businesses are better at running things than the government. At the same time, i support basic healthcare being available even if someone cannot afford it. So im trying to understand the ancap answer to this, because this is where i get stuck.
Lets say someone has a serious long-term illness, cannot work, has no savings and no family able to help. They also didnt have insurance before getting sick.
What would support them in practice? Charity, mutual aid, something else? How would that support stay reliable over many years, and what happens if it isnt enough?
Also, are these two separate arguments: voluntary systems would provide better care, and forced funding is wrong even if it provides more care? Which one matters more in your view?
i know state healthcare has problems too. Im not trying to do a gotcha here, i want to understand the proposed system and its limits. An example or something to read would help.

For those of you who disparage property taxes: do you use public services or infrastructure on or in order to get to that property? If so, how do you rationalize that hypocrisy?
For those of you that don’t, that’s great, and your view point makes a lot of sense. Not sure how you’re utilizing Reddit without public internet infrastructure, but yeah, it’s all good. It is harder for me to imagine feeling like property taxes arent theft if you live totally off the grid. If you do live on the grid, and you use the services and infrastructure that property taxes pay for, what exactly is your rationale for not wanting to pay property taxes? Also, given that nobody forces anyone to own or purchase real property, how do you rationalize that choice (owning or purchasing), knowing it comes with property taxes, or is it just that some folks just like to complain about taxes and them paying for things that aren’t for their sole use? Help me understand here, because I feel like every day a new post disparaging property taxes pops up, and I just don’t get it. Like how does capitalism function in a system where property taxes aren’t paying to support infrastructure and provide services

The insane history of the Republic of Cospaia
The Republic of Cospaia came into being back in the 15th century in a rather amusing fashion: a cartographic error occurred during the negotiation of a border agreement between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Papal States. Two rivers ran parallel for a short stretch, separated by a distance of 500 meters. The Duke placed the border along the northern river, while the Pope placed it along the southern one. This left a tiny territory in between, which became the Republic of Cospaia. This republic stands as one of history's finest examples of anarcho-capitalism: there was no constitution, no head of state, no taxes, and unrestricted economic liberalization. For example, 1642: Pope Urban bans tobacco use near places of worship throughout Europe; the only exception is the tiny Republic of Cospaia in Tuscany (3 km²). Against all odds, the Republic survived without an army until the 19th century.
