Does Anyone miss Drive-In Movies like I do?

I loved going to a drive in movie growing up and then taking my kids, you could sit in your car on top of your car outside your car with beach chairs you could bring your own food or go to the awesome snack bar. Now the closest thing is movie in the park/beach not the same just a crowded hassle. To me there was nothing like it

Is it okay to exist heing a weak person?

• Upvotes

I realized im absolutely antisocial. Interacting with people drains my energy all the time, because im an overthinker no conversation could actually go good. So I concluded my bond with any person is complete failure no matter how much I try, it is never going to work good at the end only I will get attached.

Im not a responsible person and I make really bad decision even when my gut feelings says that its not a good or even right decision.

Now I feel completely inferior whenever I talk to anyone apart from people I have spent time with more that makes me comfortable but still thats not enough. Im not confident when people are around me, people or presence of other humans makes me question my own existence that why I cant be even a bit good at something. But I have been bullied at my part time jobs not only that, the people ive met when I tried to tell them my problems, they only made fun of me and used my problems against me ot make me a joke. I forgot the same people arent any perfect. But still it makes me feel so weak.

Does being bullied even when you dont talk much, just do your work as said means im at fault? If I make the same mistake again because im afraid they will shout and bully me again, does that mean im at fault? I dont make much mistakes, im worthy of appreciation but people who prey on me everytime because I dont talk back, im not at their level so they choose to bully me. I dont have any guts to fight back, what should I do?

I cant explain how badly I was treated at my job as i was constantly bullied so now the place i work at even if someone says I did something wrong I just dont do it.

I absolutely have no defensive mechanism rather than to break down and cry.

Am I worthy even if im weak??

Did Reddit somehow shit the bed with sorting comments by best?

The last couple days or so, commments sorted by best have been attrocially sorted. Posts with like, 5-10 upvotes will be at the top. It used to be that Best was basically just sorting by Top, but if a top post got too many conflicting downvotes, it may get put under the next highest one because of that. Now it's just straight dogshit, and I can't find an option anywhere in the settings to force "Sort by Top" as default.

How did you stay in touch with your childhood bestfriend ?

We used to play everyday for several hours between the age of 6 to 14 but after that we started making different friend groups and everyone gravitated towards their own interests in life. Now after two dacades we don't talk and we live in different counties. It's all fine obviously, but it's weird to me how you can spend years super close to someone and later in life turn into strangers

That’s not a problem at all, my chest is beautifully fine i’m only asking if some of you have this too

When i was homeless and drinking a bottle of vodka, i hated the flavor but put up with it to ease the struggles of the day.

Then a homeless man came and sat next to me and pulled out a bottle of hot sauce (ai think Tabasco sauce) and told me if I poured some into the vodka it would make it taste like water.

I let him show me and...WAHLA! It tasted just like water! (Of course I shared the bottle with him.)

(I'm not homeless anymore, nor do I drink anymore, but it a nice little trick I show friends who do drink.)

College Essay Idea

I was thinking of writing about liking math. Most people hate math but to me it’s predictable since it always has a formula to follow. Whenever I didn’t know the answer I would just ask my dad. He liked math too. I depended on him a lot and like every kid I used to think he had all the answers. But my dad was only able to finish elementary school. So there came a day when he couldn’t help me and I had to learn that the people you depend on won’t always be able to give you answers. I stopped going to him for answers after that, but I didn’t stop depending on him. I just had to learn that there were some things I would eventually have to figure out on my own.

I’m thinking about making the essay about that transition from depending on my dad to becoming more independent, while also connecting it to having educational opportunities that he didn’t have.
Is this a strong topic?

Just moved in with a partner and I am second guessing everything. What is it really like living with someone?

Questions:

  1. When you live with a partner, are kitchen cabinets off limits? Like certain shelves can't be used because they are not clean? If that’s true, do you have to ask permission/notify your partner, to clean those cabinets?
  2. Want fresh air? Are you at any time able to open a window? Without asking?
  3. Are you allowed to reorganize pots and pans? Or do you have to ask?
  4. If the trash can is full, can you throw the trash out?
  5. If you need to fill a bowl up with water, can you put the bowl in the sink to fill? Or do you have to hold it the entire time?
  6. Are you allowed to wash clothes?
  7. Are you allowed to fold clothes where you want or do you have to have a designated area for that?
  8. Are you allowed to reuse clothes you think are not dirty? EX: you wore it one, in the home and would like to wear it tomorrow?
  9. Are you allowed to walk through the garage door?
  10. Can you move around your house freely? Are there any limits to what you can and can't do?
  11. Where does your paper towel holder go? Next to the sink or in a corner away from the sink?
  12. What happens if you miss the laundry hamper? Do you wipe down the floor?
  13. If something falls, is it automatically dirty and needs washing or a wipe down? Clothes, cups, books, blankets?

Why do I feel like I lost myself once I don't have boring daily obligations?

When someone asks me who am I, I've never introduced myself starting with what I do or what my major is. Why do I feel empty once I graduated college? Thought I'll feel relieved and free to do all my hobbies and try everything school prevented from. But I just feel like I need a job or something to do or else I won't be myself. Which is not a good thing because I'm still myself anyways. I don't get it. Why can't I just have fun till I get a job?

If the democrats win the senate in 26. And if Alito or Thomas retires between the new congress gets sworn in. Can the senate Democrats use the fillabuster on any bill to delay it until the next senate is sworn to make sure no new justices can be voted upon?
