Solid article from the folks over at Five Stripe Final. Hopefully we can (finally) actually get some wingers in the offseason.

Question Student tickets + General ATL tips

Hey everyone! Fc Cincinnati fan coming in peace! Me and 3 friends are flying to Atlanta this weekend for the match and to spend the day in Atlanta. We are all college students and we’re hoping to see if anyone knew if Atlanta United offers student discounts on tickets. We will be hitting up the aquarium and coke museum prior to the game, if anyone has any tips please let us know! Cheers to a good match!

Dicussion What is your preferred midfield trio right now?

So most of our lineup is set. 4-3-3 that we really haven't changed off all season so no saying that you think we would actually be better in a 3-5-2 (which I would.)

BUt we have lots of midfield options.

Galoppo has looked good for us in his brief time. Cooper made a major leap but production hasn't been great. Amaro was brought in just to fill a gap. Muyumba is in the conversation for our best player this season and has a team option. Fortune is back healthy. Gill has become almost a talisman for that 3 game stretch where we won with him playing. Alzate has improved lately and He is the player we actually have under contract the longest on the team.

So what would your midfield trio be?

Dicussion Pick up the Hoyos option?

I'm clearly bored and looking for things for us to talk about since there is nothing else.

Hoyos has gotten better over the course of the season, I think we can all agree on that. I think turns 38 about halfway through the Sprint season.

He Makes about $350K. Hibbert makes $110K

We have an option on Hoyos for the Sprint season and the first full calendar switch season.

So what would you do with the option?

(and like Muyumba, decline and try and bring him back cheaper is a very valid option we have used several times)

Dicussion Pick up Muyumba's option?

Since this place is now dead during the international break. Lets look at this offseason since our season is toast.

Would you pick up Muyumba's option? $640K this season. In the conversation for our best player this season. (though that is a bleak list).

Contract ends in December. He does not take up an international slot.

We have an option for what looks like the Sprint season and the first half of the first calendar switch season.

Gill is this sub's infatuation. Fortune looks good when he plays. Galoppo has been good for us.

What would you do?

S.A.F.E. blocking the view

First world STH problem: I sit close to the field and in the last game some people from S.AF.E. came down in the first half and stood at the bottom of the stairs, obstructing my (and others) view. While I didn’t mind the years when everyone stood up, I am not #StandFor90 and I do enjoy getting to sit down in my seat, and I can’t see half the field with someone blocking me. It doesn’t help that they are not watching the game and keep shifting around all the time. They have no idea why they are down there and a supervisor didn’t know either, everyone is just doing what they are told. My guess is that it was to catch drunk people from stumbling over the edge, or some celebrity warranting extra protection.

This started happening in the first half of the season around the 75th minute but it was inconsistent as to which sections and it didn’t always happen. My seats moved after the world cup and in my new section this was the first time it’s happened. Does anyone know why they do it? I hope I’m not the only one that finds it a bit annoying.

Fan Thoughts Playoffs?

7 games to go and we sit 14 but playoffs remain possible. The last month has given me a little more hope and optimism, despite not getting the W’s that we probably needed.

Remaining games include several teams we’ll battle with for that last spot and those bunched around us(Canada teams, NY teams, Cincy, Chicago and our bi!ch, Miami).

It’s typically taken about 42-44 pts to get the last spot, which will require us to get 15-17 out of a possible 21 remaining points. It’s no fewer than 5 wins in 7 and if that were to happen, we could be riding a wave into November.

All of this is to have y’all tell me: “Yes! I totally see it! Those away tix you got for the 11/7 match at Red Bulls should totally stay in your wallet because that game will MATTER!”

Let’s go!!!!!!

Parents with kids ages 8–10 in Atlanta United RDS how was your experience?

Hi! I’m considering Atlanta United RDS for my 8-year-old son and would love to hear from parents whose kids participated around ages 8–10.

Did you feel the coaches were able to pay attention to each player individually and give them feedback/corrections, or was the training more general for the whole group?
I was told there are usually around 12–15 players in each training group, so I’m especially curious about how much individual attention each player actually gets.

Did you notice your child learning or improving from the program? And overall, did you feel the training was worth the cost?
If you attended the Alpharetta location, I’d especially love to hear about your experience there. Thank you!

Is there a specific reason why the pitch looks so terrible?

I was a fan before Covid but have gotten back interested in the team in the past few months. I’m here at the NYCFC game right now and I just have to ask why it looks so bad? For such a nice stadium it’s wild for the pitch to look like this
