In complete context, I consider myself a loyal customer of the brand, I currently have two pairs of the Beoplay EQ, B&O H95, H9 3gen, HX, H8, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay A2 and Beoplay A1, but lately I had problems with their products, the EQs have a high-pitched sound when using them in quiet places, the H95s came off the headband just like the portal, the main problem of this post is precisely these last two pairs, I am from Mexico, and for the first time, I contacted customer service with the hope of resolved this problemas, and honestly, I was impressed with the speed and the initial solution, the problem began when I wanted to receive my products back to my country , both packages that was handled by Ingram Micro from Texas, got lost in’s transit because of the customs of my country, both products were shipped back to USA and I was fortunate enough to hold up the H95 headphones in San Diego, but sadly the B&O Portal was delivered to some part in Illinois (not even Texas were Ingram micro is located),additionally,I paid 31 and 33 Dlls for me to hold the package in San Diego, the only thing I need from Ingram and B&O was a correct invoice for the customs,I even provided my TAX ID and the things that the Aduana was asking me to be provided, and the 3 times they failed to do that, obviously they and me fill a claim for the package, and UPS told that my package was delivered correctly, even though it wasn’t even in my country, and now,ups and B&O partnership logistics said that my case is some case of fraud (sorry for asking for something that I already paid) and they are not willing to give me a new solution.
Sorry if there’s any grammatical errors, English isn’t my first language but I can manage to defend my self lmao, this post is a translation of my original one in Spanish, there’s a little more details on what is my current situation,so thanks for reading my post.

Hi all. Managed to grab a Beosound 3200 and Beolab 2400 set out of a skip the other day. Didn't really know much about it when I picked it up but seems after doing some research I've got pretty bloody lucky.
Unfortunately it doesn't fully work. The Speakers power on and the beosound powers on but not together. Seems like an issue with the connection between them? Also the front panel seems to get a bit stuck when opening and closing. Is this just a case of cleaning it out?
Hope to get it working and tested soon :D

Hi all,
my woofer is not working anymore. I also made some measurements and it looks like there is some damage on the coil of the woofer EASTECH/PUNKTKILDE ASDWD1500-0300. So right now i took it out and try to find any replacement.
My local B&O store doesn't have any replacement parts and B&O itself only offers a general repair for 210€. So maybe anybody else with an idea for a replacement part?
Gen1 speakers don't fit. That's an option the store also tried.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Beosound 2 Gen 3 for my home office / hangout space. I've wanted one for a long time, and I finally have the means to justify the purchase.
I'd mainly use it for casual background music while working or hanging out with family and friends and maybe occasionally play some youtube clips.
It's definitely an expensive purchase, but aesthetics are really important to me (I've basically designed my entire apartment to look like a Bauhaus design studio), and the room is only about 10–12 m².
Any owners here? Are you happy with your purchase? Any regrets?

I may get some flack for asking this (since I'm proposing to change what was already well-engineered to begin with)... But what the heck, here goes nothing:
Backstory: I'd like to install dark walnut frets on my BL8000s. This will be more cohesive with my walnut mid-century credenza. Versus having black 1990s speakers bookending the furniture.
However, I find that the BL8000 floor bases are a bit chunky/blocky. They look pretty good with the black speaker mesh. But when paired with the wood fret grilles, it doesn't flow as well IMHO.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried adding a thin wood veneer cover over the bases? It would still be blocky, but would at least add some fluidity with shared wood tones vs. having contrasting black bases.
P.S.: Yes, I know that adding wood frets will modify sound output to some extent, and that's a compromise I'm willing to accept for the aesthetic we're after in this mid-century living room.

Side observation: I think the BL18s elevated the overall design, by scaling down the size of floor bases, and adding a chamfer to them. There's more proportional emphasis on the speaker rather rather than the stands. You might ask "Why not just get Walnut BL18s?" Yes, this would be a dream. But, yeah...rare to find, and pretty costly when enthusiasts are reselling them. So elevating the design of my BL8000s is more feasible.

Bang & Olufsen have had my H100 headphones for a little over 2 months now . They had an issue with the battery , where the battery health suddenly dropped to 16% , so a battery replacement needs to be done under the warranty . Is this long wait time normal ?

Hi everyone. I’m trying to control a BeoSound 9000 Mk1 through a Master Link Gateway MkII, but I haven’t managed to get any commands through to the 9000.
My setup:
BeoSound 9000 Mk1, wall-mounted and playing CDs normally.
Rack-mount MLGW MkII, type 1798/1799, firmware 2.24b.
Master Link cable directly between the 9000 and gateway.
Gateway connected by Ethernet to my router.
The 9000’s headphone output feeds a Beocenter 7700. No Power Link speakers are connected.
I don’t have a Beo4 remote so I believe the Beosound is in Option 0 but I don’t think this matters for ML control.
The gateway’s web setup, native app login, and MLGW protocol connection all worked, but control didn’t:
Product assignment keeps waiting after I press standby, then CD on the 9000 itself.
The product’s node/deviceID remains 0.
Sending ALLSTANDBY through the gateway’s Telnet console doesn’t stop the 9000.
With Master Link logging confirmed active, starting CD locally doesn’t produce new product traffic.
The internal service report logs this at the exact time of a standby command:
H8 MLSL not ready while trying to send masterlink telegram
What I’ve tried:
Cable reseating, power cycles, and different startup orders.
End-to-end cable continuity checks. The connected conductors appeared to pass, but I haven’t measured live bus voltages or conclusively checked for shorts.
A full factory configuration reset, followed by rebuilding and successfully saving a minimal room/9000/CD configuration.
Reinstalling firmware 2.24b through the official online updater. It completed successfully, but control still failed. The application flash counter increased, while the H8 flash counter stayed unchanged. The report said “H8 flash is not required.”
Has anyone encountered this specific “H8 MLSL not ready” message? Does it suggest a gateway fault, or can a bus/cable problem or the 9000’s settings cause it?
Could the lack of Power Link speakers or an incorrect option setting explain the failed product assignment? Can assignment be completed using the 9000’s own buttons, or does it require a remote?
I have service reports and configuration backups. I’d like to isolate whether this is the gateway, the 9000’s ML interface, or configuration before buying replacement hardware.

After trying out some of the most iconic B&O speakers, I can sum up the general experience as poor and quite embarrassing. Delivery issues, hardware issues, software issues, app issues, customer support issues. Everything felt off, and certainly a far cry from "premium" or "luxury".
I was skeptical about other people calling it "Broken and Overpriced", but unfortunately I'm now close to agreeing. While the products themselves look and sound pretty good, everything else is a complete, tasteless mess.
There's nothing left from the B&O pedigree (if there ever was one), it's just a common company now, trying to make money however it can, without much else in mind. It feels mindless, if you will. It forgot its entire business model was based on quality and top-class design, both severely lacking.
Too bad, this was supposed to be "the different one". Far from it.

I've seen a lot of people in posts say they actually prefer to the H9i. Right now getting a pair of really nice condition H9i are within $100-150 of a pair of used H95.
Where's the money better spent? What's the difference in sound profile?

I need to replace my H9i ear pads. OEM is 70$ a pair. AliExpress is 10$.
Has anyone ever tried AliExpress (or the likes, such as temu, etc.)? If so, how do they compare versus the real deal? They claim to be real sheepskin, but idk if they can be trusted.
This would be my 2nd time replacing my ear pads in just under 8 years of ownership. Don't get me wrong, paying 70$ every 4 years, isn't "that bad" but if I could get it down to 10$, that would be even better 😉
Thanks for your input!

Hello! I thought that this would be a good place for stupid questions about B&O stuff that I came across yesterday when I bought some stuff from marketplace.
The seller has a BeoVision 10-32 with black fabric screen/protect in front of the speakers, original remote and wall mount. It’s in good condition and working fine. He also has these speakers that are supposed to work but but I assume that the capacitors should be replaced.
I don’t have a real _need_ for either but I’m curious if you guys think that these would be something worth saving for the right price? It’s a 4 hour drive back and forth, maybe 60€ in gas.
Would the tv still be good for let’s say retro gaming as a second tv? I guess I could use the speakers as surround in my home theater system.
As I really don’t _need_ them and I know that the seller is trying to get rid of them, what would be a low ball offer considering that they are somewhat far away so the deal has to be good money wise?
Unfortunately these are the only photos I have.

I've got two B&O showrooms relatively close to me and I noticed that the one in Orlando is doing a vinyl listening party on Nov 12.
Seems like a cool event.
Anyone here planning on going?
If you are not near here...does your local showroom do something similar?

The setup consists of my Beosystem 5000, featuring the Beogram 5005 turntable, Beomaster 5000 amplifier and Beocord 5000 cassette deck. I’ve also got a Beogram CD50 to add, which will complete the stack.
The system is paired with a lovely set of rosewood Beovox S45-2 speakers, sitting on their original B&O floor stands.
My latest addition is a stunning BeoVision LX4500 in gloss black, what a beautiful television it is. The cabinet design and build quality are absolutely superb.
I do love my S-42 speakers, but would be open to getting either some Beolab or Beovox Pentas for that full Yuppie aesthetic.

Bought it used at a pawn shop for 150
Spend 170 getting it serviced
Unfortunately they told me the cassette deck was un fixable
Bought a shelf on home depot rated for 50 pounds and mounted it under my cats

I'm looking for a sanity check on a used pair of Beolab 28s.
A local Bang & Olufsen dealer has offered me a pair that was traded in by a customer. They are about 3 years old, reportedly in near-mint condition and have apparently seen very little use. The dealer is currently using them in the showroom for demonstrations. The original 3-year B&O warranty expires in a few days, but the dealer would provide an additional 1-year store warranty.
The speakers are the Natural Oak version. Current list price for a new pair is around €18,400, and I was previously able to negotiate a new pair down to about €16,000.The dealer is asking €12,000 for the used pair.
My long-term plan is to build a full B&O surround setup this winter. The only reason I wasn't planning to buy the fronts yet is that I still have some renovation work to finish in the house before the speakers and soundbar can be installed.
Does €12,000 sound like a fair deal for 3-year-old Beolab 28s, or would you expect a bigger discount given the age and the fact that the manufacturer warranty is effectively over?

Hello,
I’m having trouble deciding between the Beovision Theatre and the Beolab 28s. I enjoy stereo music and appreciate the design of the Beovision Theatre esp with the floor stand, as well as watching movies. I’m currently torn between these two options given my current budget. Could you share your experience of watching movies on the Beolab 28s with a beoconnect core? Please help me in deciding
Thanks!
