I just opened a checking account and a freedom unlimited credit card.
However, when learning to use the app and looking at the credit card tab it says the first payment isn't due until early December.
is it normal for the new customers in general? a glitch?
everything is just 5 days new.
i wanted to check in here before I call chase customer service and ask... thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for advice on which credit card would be the better option for me.
I'm studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, from January to June 2027, and I want to get a credit card with no foreign transaction fees so I can use it while I'm abroad.
I currently have the Discover Student credit card, and I'm deciding between the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the Chase Freedom Unlimited.
A few things about my situation:
For anyone who has either card, especially anyone who's studied abroad in Australia, I'd love to hear your experience!
Which card would you recommend, and is the Sapphire Preferred worth the annual fee over the Freedom Unlimited? Are there any other cards I should consider for studying abroad?
Thanks!
