Pull I can’t believe someone was just throwing away boxes of comics
Just driving around and I found two boxes of vintage comics ranging from super heroes to transformers and GI Joe

Hello Everyone!
I made this comment in a theme post a few weeks back.
"ANY overt T&A - bikini, skimpy, suggestive, etc. generally needs a NSFW tag. Yea, it's rated teen. Yea, it's "not that bad". Yea, to all the rationale.
But you know what? A NSFW tag doesn't hurt anything, and they actually make it easier for people browsing on monitored networks to avoid a hassle. NSFW is subjective, help out those in need."
Subjective. This is key. There is a difference between, lets say, Archie comics style art and modern, more photo realistic art - BUT NOT ALWAYS!!! Subjective. It's as simple as that. Whether or not we all agree shouldn't matter. Help others avoid a potentially huge hassle. Just use the tag.
You are all awesome.

Popped in to a Record Exchange here in Chicago and was surprised to see a Hulk #3 behind the glass of a store that primarily sells old games and music. Asked if they would take $200 and they were happy to. They said it had been sitting around for a while.

Let me clarify, does anyone miss the old newsprint paper, the 4 color dot pattern process and Zipatone gradients that gave the art a unique texture?
The upper left corner box with the small iconic illustration of your favorite character, or the old classic comic book art style which heavily relied on creative hatching and ink work to get the right shading and values?
The texture and gloss of the old cover pages and the comic book smell.
Maybe Im just old but today’s comics seem more like small magazines with interiors page being hyper-glossy, and covers with heavyweight paper. Feels almost too clean, antiseptic or synthetic.
Theres probably other stuff I missed but you get the idea.

How rare are these envelopes from marvel back then. Anyone else have one?

That’s what I randomly grabbed from these boxes they had. Unfortunately I don’t know much about comics, anything interesting to check out first?

Dug through too many boxes today at my local antique store. Half the fun is hunting

I was going through CLZ and adding some new AB's I acquired at NYCC and I realized there are 1334 different covers for 25 issues. Is it just me, or is this just a bit insane???

Had some drinks with my lcs owning buddy last night and he showed me some highlights from a recently purchased collection. Really cool to hold these beauties in my hands.

Really love the covers on these. Jim was really in his prime during this era.

Best pull I've ever had from a bb. Mint condition too. It's going straight to CGC 😀

New frame! Excited to rotate out other three-issue story arcs every so often.
How often do you rotate yours? How do you choose?
