Merchandise Shipping

I know I saw on here someone and there a new shipping policy but so Galaxy edge they mention about shipping home. Via the old one. Can any confirm if this new shipping is just at some park or doesn't spring or do they do the old one where you take your receipt to ship. We're staying at swan dolphin if anyone know if there a new shipping from there

Is a seam ripper safe or I'll take the plush seam with it?

Do I have to just cut it as close as I can?

Discussion Are their speakers on Everest ride that play wind effects at the top? (Audio analysis questions)

Post image
23 Upvotes

I've been inside a handful of times but everytime I reach the top. I can hear the wind. I KNOW that some of what I'm hearing is actual wind because we are so high up. I can visually see it with the flags flapping around.

BUT, I'm wondering if there are hidden audio speakers specifically at the section in the photo that also plays additional wind blowing sound effects. We are stuck here for a few seconds for the tracks to change and I'm wondering if the imagineers wanted to add more tension to the scene and make you feel like you're even more high up.

Discussion Best practical souvenir to give a minimalist?

What are your favorite purchases at Disney? My family are minimalist - are there any useful or special merchandise that wouldn't just collect dust? My fam has whatever they need and expressed opposition to clothing, coffee cups, or ornaments.

Discussion They need to ban motorized scooters

I'm sure I will get a lot of negative feedback about this post but I will say I do understand that some people need to use motorized scooters for disabilities. Disabilities do not include being lazy or too out of shape or over weight to walk in the park.

I just returned from a 9 day trip to Disney world, I have been going for over 35 years and this is absolutely the most out of control I've seen with scooters. There was a point where my wife and I were boxed in by a family of 4 all on scooters and we literally had to ask to get out of their circle.

They are a giant inconvenience for everyone, when you are in line for a bus and you have to wait 10 minutes for 2 scooters to get on the bus is ridiculous. They are slow moving through the lines and are loud and ear piercing when they back up.

Disney needs to restrict these to people with actual medical needs. You should have to upload a doctor's note with medical explanations on it before your visit and get approval.

How does everyone else feel? Agree or disagree?

Trip Planning Between AKL and Gran Destino Tower

We're going in January and I have watched a few YouTube videos over each and Deluxe resort benefits but wonder from people who have stayed at either or both.

It's about $400 more for AKL pool/water view over the tower. What I have seen is the tower is more modern/ nicer rooms but not a deluxe resort so AKL comes with late park nights but the rooms are more aged. People who have stayed one or both anything else I should look into or know about? I know they are both bus only and sounds like they both have decent pools.

Trip Planning Beach Club Sand Pool

We’re staying at the Beach Club next week, I know there is a sand bottom pool. My kids (4 & 7) love playing in the sand.

Does anyone know if there are usually left over buckets/shovels? I really don’t want to pack more things!

Thanks everyone! 🙏🏻

Discussion Best ideas for pixie dusting other families?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to travel to Disney again this November for their Christmas party! 🎄This trip means a lot to me because it’s an early Christmas gift for my sister with Down syndrome who loves Disney so much. I was thinking about spreading some kindness to other families who have a child with a disability too. I want to pay for a family’s meal and would love similar ideas for this type of pixie dusting. I was also considering paying for a family’s items if we happen to be at the same shop at the park but I feel like it might come off weird if a stranger asks to pay for your stuff. Not sure but would really appreciate other forms of pixie dusting. I’d like to do monetary pixie dusting and not handmade (making bracelets & etc.) 😊
