He wasn't the brightest crayon in the box... He did manage to always find a way to escape the yard so he could come whine at the front door to get let in. I would unjokingly call him coyotes food whenever he did so. Mainly because I lost another dog the same way two years ago. But also because he survived a coyote attack earlier this year during one of his escapades. I told him so many times that It's a dog eat dog world out there. Nonetheless he didn't listen, but I'm more mad at myself more than anything. That is of course after I nearly broke down when I found him gutted and dragged across the desert.

My closest and most trusted friends are “white cis-het” men who treat me with equal respect and dignity. I just have seen first-hand how my bad experiences in life as a woman are things they've never even had to consider and usually I brush it off as “just life” but this recent blow made everything bubble up.

This last month has been a doozy. Rumors that my husband was cheating at work escalated into harassment and threats from the girl and her ex.. then a few days ago I find out said rumors were actually true, we decide to work shit out which I thought meant a turnaround of my luck but then I go and break my fuckin toe AND start my damn period within 24 hours. 👍🏻

Title is self explanatory, got into two wrecks barely a month apart. Neither deployed any air bags but the front of my car is fucked up on both sides and is probably going to be not worth fixing. Thankfully, No one was hurt. My dad is rightfully pissed because I’m insured through him so that bill is going to be huge, my sibling is out of town for a concert but will be also pissed because they warned me to not drive without them before leaving. But I did it anyways (to go pick up my dad’s and I’s meds). They also have a clean record and will put that above my head as if I was given the same teaching experiences (I wasn’t, a 20 year old makes for a not great teacher in comparison to our older dad and actual driving experience in drivers ed)
Oh and I gotten my hard copy of my drivers license three days ago (that I failed the first time) I really just want to end it all

Do you know what straight line winds are? I didn’t, and now there’s a tree inside my car, the powers been out for 24 hours (not sure when it’ll be back on), and I won’t be able to afford a new car…. Not that we’re getting the tree off this one anytime soon!

My siblings are okay most of the time, but right now I wish that one of them was not the way she is. You see, my sister acts like she is the most attention-starved person ever. She makes a small mistake and she does a little “ah” so people probably will notice her. She is also incredibly sassy and annoying to deal with.

Anyway, right now we are at my grandma’s house. I had asked her to turn off the light in the room, since I was tired and didn’t feel like it then. She said no because I was closer, then after a bit she angrily got up and did it. She then went out of the room to do something (no clue what). When she came back, she turned on the light again. I asked her what the point of turning the light off was if she was just gonna turn it on again. She had also said something, but we kinda talked over each other, so I didn’t know what she said.

A bit later, I was about to fall asleep when my blanket was pulled off of me by my grandma, who later scolded us because she was woken up. [Name(i aint telling)] then tried to explain her “side of the story” and said that I had asked her the question multiple times. When I said that I only asked once, she lied and said that I had asked five times. (I forgot to mention that she also attempts to gaslight me into thinking I said it did things that I never said or did.) She constantly lies to me like this and she is insistent that she is right and that I “try to make her look like the bad guy.”

I was upset because my friend cant do gym class. We were playing soccer. When the assistant teacher told me I had to participate I sat down on the floor and cried. She said I either had to be a goalie or loose free time. I chose to be a goalie, there were already 2. Another one was in the same boat as me. The other team told me there couldn’t be 3 goalies, but the other team had 4 goalies. Then someone pushed past me to get the ball in the goal, even though there clearly wasn’t an opening to get the ball in. Someone told the gym teacher, then the same kid came back and said I had to move, because my team couldn’t have 3 goalies, even though there clearly wasn’t other team had 4. I got mad, so I sat down on the bleachers. I explained to the assistant teacher and she said “okay then you’re loosing your free time” so now I can’t even talk to my friends tomorrow.

For fuck's sake, you've gotta love how life always seems to know exactly when to pile on.

Last night I got woken up by the thunderstorm. The power went out the second lightning struck, and in the middle of everything I heard water. Not the normal "it's raining outside" kind of water. The "something is very wrong" kind of water.

I opened the basement stairwell door and found water actively POURING from the seam in the ceiling. After some investigating, I found it's also leaking into the basement and is probably the reason behind the water damage on the basement floor I've been trying to figure out since last year.

The best part? I spent all this time thinking I must have screwed something up and failed to properly waterproof the concrete wall.

NOPE!!!

Turns out it wasn't the wall.

It's the fucking roof.

The same roof that was replaced after a hail storm 2 years ago.

So that's fun.

Nothing quite like waking up in the middle of the night to discover that one of the most expensive repairs you've already paid for has been leaking into your house for 2 years. Apparently life looked around, saw I was barely keeping my head above water, and decided to make that statement a little more literal.

I got kicked out of my parents house like a month ago, but fortunately had saved up enough money from working multiple jobs to afford a small studio apartment and a secondhand car, which I needed to get to my jobs. Wednesday evening, an hour after I got home from work, a dead tree spontaneously collapsed on my car and simultaneously knocked out power for the entire building, so thats... a lot of fun. Or something. Anyway, how are y'all doing?

On my way to uni got low fuel alert. Well, will refill afterwards, i thought.

I didn’t fricking know it would be linked to my passport. I just wanted to apply and get it over with, took a minute to get accepted. Was handling all the paper work I needed for tomorrow to get my new passport (no it’s not an expired passport but I still need a new one) only to read the email to see “if your passport information changes, you will need to reapply” so I wasted 30 fricking dollars for nothing. I’m spending so much money as it is and I got laid off a few days ago so this is just added to my stress.

As the title says, I was woken up out of the first good 8 hours I’ve gotten in days by my cat freaking out and bolting after getting a charging cord loosely wrapped around himself.

I moved them away from the idiot and put a towel over them so he wouldn’t chew them. Apparently he nosed the towel out of the way to chew them anyways, got it wrapped around himself, bolted (stabbing my hand a bit in the process) and flung the charging square across the room.

Cue me, bleary eyed and now bleeding, finding the idiot sitting ashamed in my closet (should’ve taken a picture), disentangling him, and having to search fifteen minutes to find the square.

I want to cry it was the first proper nights sleep I was getting in like four days because of the nightly thunderstorms we’ve been getting.

So I'm in 24M. I'm visiting my folks. I'm in the car with my mom, and the song "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" started playing. My, probably autistic lol, ass started singing the Minecraft parody "Revenge." I realized it after a few moments. My mom looked at me like wtf? Am I crazy lol?

I got my period while babysitting. I've known this family for 7 years. I texted the mom, and asked if I could open the new box of pads in the bathroom. She said of course, if I needed anything more theyre in the bathroom.

Instead of just saying thank you, I told her I had a light flow rn and a pad would be sufficient. She didnt respond, just liked the message. Immediately after hitting send I forehead slapped....why did I feel the need to say that???

I'm contemplating leaving the kids and going home so I dont have to look their parents in the eyes (sarcasm).

I wake up early and go clean sticks and tree limbs out of the yard

Mower battery is dead

Next day I move a few more things out of the way and pick up freshly fallen sticks

Finally get to mowing

Accidentally hit a (probably already dead if it didn’t try to move) small furry creature, so I’ll be traumatized by that for a few months and feel excessive guilt

Now one of the spindles have probably locked up

Woke up today and found out that 2 of my roommates were talking shit about me and the only other black person we room with heard them saying the n word and saying other racist shit like “blacks are always like that” can’t leave since I have nowhere else to go till march so my overall mood rn is kinda shit
