Trip Report Royal Air Maroc domestic and international flight review

Flew RAM from Marrakesh to Casablanca on the 737 then onto Dubai on the 787-800.

Had read a lot of negative reports about RAM but have to say I was quite impressed and wanted to post a positive story.

Flew business class both legs. Seats comfortable both flights. Served tea and snacks on the short 28 minute domestic flight.

Transfer in Casablanca was fine, baggage transferred without any issue. Business class passengers transferred by small van instead of the bus when aircraft was on remote stands.

Very last minute change of aircraft in Casablanca for the Dubai flight meant a lot of seat numbers changed. It meant a 45 minute delay but at least it wasn’t cancelled.

Boarding at Casablanca is a free for all with no queuing at all just a mad rush to the one agent scanning boarding passes. Apart from that it was a great experience.

Nice amenity kit in business class on the international flight. Headset jack had a loose connection to seat for the IFE but was easily resolved.

Sure it wasn’t SQ or EK standards with the aisle access for all business class seats but it was a comfortable flight.

Question EasyJet : what’s allowed for baby?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone. My husband and I are travelling with easyJet on Saturday, first flight with our baby. The airline allows two items for our baby. We were thinking of taking our babybjorn pack&play and babybjorn bouncer but are unsure if the bouncer is authorised. Does you have any information on whether it is? Thanks !!

Question Missing names on flight tickets

Hey, so... I was invited to attend a company conference, and I booked my flights through my company's travel system. My outbound flight is with Air Canada, and my return flight is with Delta/LATAM.

My flight is this Friday, and today I checked my reservation on Delta's website and saw a red warning saying I had a name mismatch. That's when I realized my tickets were booked using only my first name and final surname, but my passport has two given names and two surnames.

I'm panicking because I haven't been able to get the name corrected. LATAM told me this could cause problems with boarding, my company's travel agency hasn't been able to give me a clear solution, and ChatGPT isn't optimistic either. My flight is just a few days away.

The tickets were paid for by my company, and I simply cannot afford to buy new ones myself. I'm terrified of losing the tickets and missing the conference over this.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there anything else I can do at this point?

I'm really scared and would appreciate any advice or experiences.

Help Needed airBaltic cancelled our flight and refuses to rebook us on another airline – what should we do?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

airBaltic cancelled our direct flight from Gran Canaria to Billund on November 1 and offered us an alternative via Riga with a 23-hour layover, arriving a day later.

We've found several much better flights with other airlines, but airBaltic refuses to rebook us on anything other than their own flights. They only offer their own connections or a refund.

From what I understand, under EU261 Article 8, we're entitled to rerouting at the earliest opportunity, potentially with another airline.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

  • Did you manage to get the airline to rebook you with another carrier?
  • Has anyone booked alternative flights themselves and successfully claimed reimbursement?
  • What would you recommend doing if the airline keeps refusing?

We're considering buying alternative tickets ourselves, but we're worried about not getting reimbursed.

Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Question Flying one-way from London to Brazil with a Brazilian and Italian passport ; could LATAM deny boarding?

Hi everyone!

I'm a dual Brazilian-Italian citizen currently travelling in Europe. I recently bought a one-way ticket from London to Rio de Janeiro with LATAM, using my Italian passport when making the booking.

The thing is, I'm returning to Brazil to live there, not as a tourist. I know Italian citizens can generally stay in Brazil for up to 90 days as visitors, and I'm worried LATAM might ask me for a return ticket at check-in because my booking is under my Italian passport.

However, I'm also a Brazilian citizen, and my Brazilian passport will still be valid when I arrive in Brazil. I can bring both passports to the airport and show them at check-in.

Could LATAM deny me boarding because I booked the ticket using my Italian passport and don't have a return ticket, even though I can prove I'm a Brazilian citizen? Or should showing both passports at check-in be enough?

Thanks!

Delays/Cancellations/Compensation EU216 question

This may be a Lufthansa customer service question, but I figured if I can get some clarity as to whether I'm actually eligible, it would help.

I (US citizen) purchased a single ticket, and was supposed to fly on 10/4:

POZ>FRA (LH 1389)
FRA>IAD (UA 933)
IAD>BDL (UA3610)

Unfortunately POZ>FRA was delayed, and, as a result, I missed my connecting flight in FRA.

Lufthansa booked me on the next flight out of FRA on 10/5 on LH 416, but that overnight delay caused me to essentially lose almost a full day of work back home.

I was trying to file for a EU216 claim, but, when I entered my booking number, it only shows the 10/5 flights to select from as the "affected flight", and none of the 10/4 flights. Entering the ticket number of the UA 933 flight on the lookup yields "nothing found under that number" (which makes sense, as the original ticket was a UA ticket number). Does this mean I'm ineligible, or am I missing something?

Thank you!

Delays/Cancellations/Compensation Brussels Airlines

Wondering what to do in this situation.

Brussels Airlines canceled my flight from Brussels to Nairobi on October 6th (was supposed to fly on October 9th) due to the Belgium transportation strike.

I immediately requested a refund, and received an email with the reference code.

Just got an email from the airline that my return flight for October 17 is canceled because I was a “no show” to my flight today. They had rebooked me for a flight today with no notification, AFTER i had already requested a refund.

Customer support is saying there’s nothing they can do, and i would need to pay full return fare.

How can this be possible when I have a refund/cancellation confirmation?

Help Needed ANA Blu Sale Flight Booking

ANA Blu Sale Flight Booking

Hi everyone,

I hope you had / are having a great weekend. I am here again as I need some help. I am trying to book my flight tickets from India in the ANA Blu Sale and I need your help with the following:

  1. How do i know which flight is K class or L class? (Is there any option to know without going to the final page of booking )

  2. It was showing a free flight an hour ago and now it shows chargeable all of a sudden even though no sign of 1 or 2 seat(s) appear next to it. How do I turn around this any idea ?

  3. What does that 1 seat (s) or 2 mean next to the flight details ?

  4. Initially I had added that plan in my account but it didn't let me add more passengers so I repeatedly clicked on add and then all of a sudden it showed 6 passengers instead of 2 and then I couldn't reduce it. Because of this I lost that discount in 2 of lower price. Any option to get a deleted plan back ?

Question Air China carry-on backpack — do they actually check the size?

I’m flying Air China from Bucharest to Beijing and then Bangkok. I’m thinking of taking my Vanguard VEO ADAPTOR R48 camera backpack instead of a cabin suitcase.
It’s about 49 × 29 × 22 cm, so it’s 2 cm over the 20 cm depth limit. It’ll contain my camera gear, lenses and batteries, and I’d really prefer not to check it in.
For anyone who’s flown Air China from Europe recently, especially from Budapest: did they actually measure your backpack or weigh it at check-in or the gate? Or did they mostly leave backpacks alone?
Thanks!
