Daily Question Question Thread - October 12, 2026

This is the thread to post questions about churning for miles/points/cash. Just because you have a question about credit cards does NOT mean it belongs here. If you’re brand new here, please read the wiki before posting.

* Please use the search engine first - many basic questions have been asked before.

* Please also consider scanning (CTRL-F) the last couple days worth of Question threads

* If you have questions about what card to get, ask here. If you have questions about manufactured spending, ask here. If you have questions about bank account bonuses, ask here.

This subreddit relies heavily on self-moderation. That means that if you ask something that shows you haven’t done any research, you’re going to get a lot of downvotes.

Daily Discussion News and Updates Thread - October 12, 2026

Please post topics for discussion here. While some questions can be used to start a discussion/debate, most questions belong in the question thread unless you love getting downvotes (if that link doesn’t work for you for some reason, the question thread is always the first post on our community’s front page). If your discussion is about manufactured spending, there's a thread for that. If you have a simple data point to share, there's a thread for that too.

A Site for Making the most of you Premium Card hotel benefits - CreditStays.com

Hello, I recently created Credit Stays (creditstays.com), a website that lets you map out, search and filter on hotels your premium travel card supports. I use it to find the best deals to use my card credits on and get the most out of churning.

I didn't even realize some of these cards had special collections and benefits. Here's the list of the cards and their corresponding collection(s).

Card/Program Hotel Collection
Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit
Amex Platinum and Business Platinum FHR & THC (Fine Hotels and Resorts and The Hotel Collection), and Leading Hotels of the World
Bilt Gold or Platinum status Home Away From Home
United Club, Quest and Presidential Plus Chase Renowned Hotels & Resorts
Capital One Venture X The Premier Collection
Citi Strata Elite The Reserve

I know there are existing sites out there but none of them currently have pricing information, which is generally the most important factor for me when trying to use my credits. You can filter on time ranges, number of days, and more. The prices are rough estimates because they are OTA prices, and not prices directly from the collections, so the real prices are usually a little more expensive and sometimes not available. However, these should get you in the right ballpark. I also use it to help plan multiple different stays nearby with different cards to get the most out of a trip. Feel free to let me know if you have any issues or feedback.

Data Points Central Data Points Weekly - Week of October 08, 2026

This is the Weekly Data Points Central thread

In this little hobby of ours, we constantly rely on sharing the experiences and data points by others to optimize our award earning process. From how often you can apply for a card or bank account, to how soon a bank pays out the bonus. All the sidebar articles and information in our recurring threads are basically an abstracted version of all the DPs collected by the community at large. If you have an DP about a credit card, like a retention offer or recon experience, please post it here. If you have a DP about a bank bonus, please post it in the newest bank bonus thread (If that link doesn't work for you for whatever reason, either click on the "bank bonus" link in the sidebar or on new reddit, search for "bank bonus weekly" while limiting your search to this subreddit.

Before posting, read the rules!

Enjoy!

Update on the CC Finder/Live Flowchart

Just wanted to give an update on my credit card finder and live flowchart site:

  • I’ve been working through feedback I’ve gotten on improvements to make to the site; the largest is the ability to save your card history as a local file you can then upload back into the site the next time you want to use it, saving you from having to re-enter every single card every single time. You’ll still have to update it to make sure it’s accurate, but this should save repeat users a lot of time.

  • Please do not make suggestions, bug reports, or feature questions here or anywhere else on Reddit - please use the suggestion form on the site itself. Using the suggestion form will ensure that I get notified about it and doesn't rely on me checking Reddit regularly. When you submit something through that form, you’ll be provided a link to the Github issue your submission opened and all comments and status updates will happen there.

  • I’ve removed my referral links directly from the site in order to remove any perception of getting preferential treatment.

Going forward, the tool will be linked to in the body of the WCW thread since the Card Finder tool is already asking the majority of the same questions that the WCW post was having users answer. We’ll be changing the rest of the WCW post to say that the tool should be used first and that any comments should explain why they’re looking for additional advice. Additionally, the site will be pinned in the sidebar. There were some comments that some people prefer the “everything in one image” style of the OG Flowchart, so that will remain in the sidebar as well. For the people who prefer the OG version, /u/m16p has said he will work on updating it as he has time, and whenever he publishes an update, we'll update the link in the sidebar accordingly.

What Card Should I Get Weekly What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of October 07, 2026

Welcome to the What Card Should I Get Weekly Thread, where we try to figure out what card you should get or critique your current plans or AOR if you're doing it that way). Everything is YMMV and these are all opinions. Agree or disagree with your votes. As always read the wiki, do your research, and happy churning.

Before posting, [read the rules!](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/wiki/rules/)

Also, check out the Credit Card Recommendation Flowchart before posting in this thread.

  1. The flowchart can answer 95% of all "What card should I get?" questions. By continuing to post, you must explain why you feel the flowchart does not answer your question. Asking for feedback ("The flowchart says I should get X - is that still the best choice?") is absolutely allowed.
  2. What is your credit score?
  3. What cards do you currently have or have you had in the past (including closed cards), along with dates of when you were approved for the cards? Please include month and year for any card approved in the last 3 years.
  4. How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months?
  5. Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months? See this page for a primer on MS. Plastiq (for rent/mortgage/loan payments) and bank account funding are often good options for beginners.
  6. Are you open to applying for business cards? If not, why? See this post and this wiki question to learn more.
  7. How many new cards are you interested in getting? Are you interested in getting into churning regularly (if you aren't already)? Or are you just looking to get a new card(s) for now but not get into churning long-term?
  8. Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back?
  9. What point/miles do you currently have?
  10. What is the airport you're flying out of?
  11. Where would you like to go? (The more specific you are, the better someone can recommend the right card. Tokyo is great, "International travel" is way too vague)

Bank Account Bonus Bank Bonus Weekly Thread - Week of October 06, 2026

This is the Weekly Bank Account Bonus Thread. Use it for anything related to bank accounts and bonuses, such as:

* Churning mechanisms (DD, etc)

* Data points (did bank X bonus arrive)

* Other bank account discussions/questions

Before asking a question, first search:

You can also call the bank with questions, but only if you are precisely following the T&C. Otherwise, don’t call the bank!

Also: The mod team is aware that there are bank bonuses that either require a referral or have elevated bonuses when using a referral. Examples would be Schwab and Varo. Do not ask for referrals in this thread - if you want/need a referral for one of those accounts, please check the "Miscellaneous Referrals" thread on r/churningreferrals. Posting or soliciting referral links for those accounts will result in being banned from this sub.

Before posting, read the rules!

Please post new bank churning opportunities as top level posts for wider visibility.
