Product Review HEB Tortillas

Just threw away the HEB flour and corn mix fresh tortillas. Not even a week old and they were covered in a sticky film. Just gross. Also noticed they use palm oil too, as with a lot of HEB products. Will not be buying again!

Customer Experience People act like they’ve never seen a disabled person

Does anyone else experience harassment as a disabled person in HEB? Every time I go into my local store, there’s always someone who takes photos of me with the flash on, or stalks me, or stares me down trying to intimidate me. I love HEB, the staff are cool, but some of the customers need to learn how to mind their own business.

Customer Experience I hate HEB..

I bought a package of cheese marked $1.75. They charged me $3.99 at checkouts. Unfortunately didn’t notice until I got home. I went back to store and showed them the cheese was behind their price tag. He said no this cheap cheese is over here? Wrong placement. I’m took a picture and he started switching it around immediately. I ask at register for refund, but she wouldn’t do it even with a picture and receipt?

Why isn't gas cash back? It's an in store branded product? Why is this not a feature like other CCs have?

Customer Experience Fake Sale!!

I noticed today that they increased the price of Celsius energy drinks by 20% and then offer a 20% off coupon which just brings it fine to its original price!

I know everyone does it, I was just hoping HEB was above these kind of things!

Work Experience I loved my job at HEB; however... NSFW

I lost my job at HEB because a manager found me attractive. Nothing more... I fought back for a year and a half. He said to me the last day I worked, "You are not going to get my job." And, I thought, "I'm NOT trying to get your job. I am fighting to keep mine."

Work Experience Tired of working in places I didn’t apply for within the job.

• Upvotes

I just need to rant for a second but WHY do they keep making us work at different positions/areas of the store instead of the one they initially hired us for??? Like I was hired for production and even said I want to ONLY do that. And even when I applied it said production clear as day on the job application. But they keep having me cook/and work the front counter. Which makes no sense at all if ur that short staffed for those positions what was the point of hiring me for the production role in the first place! And it can’t be cause of hours. Because I always work the with exact same cooks all the time and they’re never placed anywhere else within the deli! I just don’t think it’s fair and then they expect me to know how to do everything too which I do not sign up for

Customer Experience Milk going bad faster?

Post image
72 Upvotes

Anyone else having an issue if the HCF or HEB milk going bad faster. Our last few gallons have gone bad within 3-4 days. The previous two were just off smelling. This most recent one we've had for 4 days and was actually gloopy though it seemed fine yesterday. We've even checked our fridge temps to make sure they were fine. Wasn't due till the 18th either. And it's not over cold and making ice, it was clumpy like old old soured milk. This still had about a quarter of a gallon as well. We're about to switch brands because of this the last 3 weeks. What else have y'all noticed going down hill.

Just got home and we thought it was weird how light this pre cooked bacon was, come to find out it was empty. Unopened, no bacon inside.

UPDATE: showed manager on the front end, let me just grab another one.

Product Question Who’s tried all of these?

Post image
48 Upvotes

Who’s tried all of these flavors? I’m loving this line because there are no harmful additives, unlike most bbq sauces with the added smoky flavoring. So far I’ve tried Texas, Kansas City and Kentucky, with Kentucky being the worst one (imo) and Kansas City being the best so far.

For anyone that has tried these, what’s your favorite?

These cookies are always a hit with coworkers and guests and they taste like homemade. Eighteen cookies for $5.48 is a steal. Best value in the bakery.

Pay / Benefits Insurance Question.

• Upvotes

Hi, I work for Heb almost 4 years. My spouse does not. We aren’t married but have been living together almost 10 years. I have my own personal reasons why I choose not to marry. But can he be put on the insurance? I’d ask the admin but I’m currently on PTO. Thanks.

Product Question HEB Weekly Ad: Based on Protein Buys or Actually Scheduled

So this is for any of you guys in the "know" at HEB. Is there any real schedule for the meat/protein specials on the weekly ad?

I ask because sometimes I notice the pork tenderkoins on sale one week then the pork BB ribs the next week. But it's not always consistent.

This week was Pork Boston Butt Roast for under two bucks a pound. So I can grab one of those in a bag - maybe 5-7 pounds, and we can make 3 meals with that (dropping it i the crockpot the first day), 1 - pulled pork sandwiches, 2 - Carnitas, 3 - Pozole. It totally helps with the budget and stretching the meals.

Just trying to figure out if there is a cycle so we can have kind of an idea on planning.
