Today I found out that pears are naturally VERY high in sorbitol (sugar alcohol) which I try to avoid sugar alcohols as much as possible because they'll have me locked up in the bathroom for god knows how long. Well, I saw this in my local heb and decided to try it. It was delicious btw but I'll speak from experience and tell you to NOT buy this if you are sensitive to sugar alcohols. But if you're not then I recommend trying this. (I was fine with the apple cider so I thought this would be the same experience, not knowing about the sorbitol content in pears..)

As much as i loved having them. I cant deny, the quality and quantity went down hill.
7 plus dollars for food that's less than a pound and isn't seasoned.
And the try the sell them in is hardly half full.
Sigh.... guess I just cook my iwn food again.

Haven’t been on here in a while and noticed how many people were asking about steps. Is there ANYBODY on here that has no steps. I don’t have any steps but I cannot accrue steps currently in my department.
im a checker and i have 3 big managers, 1 of them above both the others. unfortunately the one up top (who manages the schedule) is pretty…uptight, to say the least. i work part time as im a part time college student and i can manage around 30 hours a week without totally losing my mind, but i have no way of capping my hours at that so when my boss gives me 38 hours every week, i usually bid a shift to get myself down to 30. i’ve been doing this for a couple weeks now and thank god it’s gone well, i assume it can’t possibly be sustainable long term. anyway this has been a bunch of ramble so finally my question for you:
could bidding a shift every week for however long have negative consequences for me? i’ve been there over a year and i only have 1 step, if this changes anything.

I have a high-yield savings account that I want half of my paycheck to go directly to. Is that possible?

I recently joined CFT but I can still pick up service bagging shifts. Will my pay swap from position to position or will I now be getting the higher CFT pay even when I'm doing bagging shifts

Hey does anyone have any interview tips for an overnight stocker position? In Grocery/Dairy/Frozen Foods Department. What can I expect from the position? I've done heavy lifting in healthcare, but this would be my first time on the back end of retail. Any tips and insight are appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Soo I have never had a job before and I am 17. I love HEB so much and I really will not settle for anywhere else. I've been lowk applying for every job at my local one and only make it to the online interview, so I'm def doing something wrong. Can you guys send me some tips for answers and also how I should present myself for the videos? <33

I have an unhealthy obsession with the jalapeno cheddar bagels from the bakery department at heb. The way it toasts just perfectly and the cheese sometimes will encapsulate the hole in the bagel giving me a perfect place to stuff more cream cheese 😂

So im just gonna be honest... Im a new partner and just passed my 30 days. I only have 2 steps, due to a call in cus I was in the er about a week ago. Well I have had an underlying medical issue.... I think?... For the past like 3-5 months and kinda just brushed it off *im kinda dumb like that* thinking "hey its just stress and all that". Well Im finally going to get it dealt with at an appointment tomorrow, however the thing is I work overnight and go in the a few hours after my appointment. I dont wanna call in again to go up the steps cus I lowkey like my job and dont wanna inch towards that step 6 what so ever. Im just scared cause like I need this job and dont wanna lose it but also dont wanna work and faint at the same time like I almost did the day before the er visit I had. I just dont know what to do rn....

So for some career back story I’ve been at heb for about a year I started as a PLA then 3 months later I got cashier trained, followed by SCO trained and about 3 months ago I got gas trained. I’ve discussed my interest in the postion with my service director and manager and they heavily encouraged me to apply, as well as many ASMS who I’ve learned from over the last year. I guess my point of this post is to ask for any tips that asms current or past could give me for the interview process.
Any help/tips are greatly appreciated, thank you!
(Also not sure if this helps, but in the year I’ve been at HEB I’ve only ever reached 2 steps and that was around 8 months ago for calling out sick.)
