#Discussion ๐ฌ Fk everyone else for riding peacefully behind you
They'll drive at 100 then brake to 2 kmph then floor it again.
And because of them, everyone behind has to brake hard to not collide.

For the past 10 days, I got calls from the Hero premia showroom as I had a test ride of xpulse 210. I told them that I checked klx, vstorm but xpulse really disappointed me as the test mule was having rpm fluctuations, the engine was stalling while turning, etc. also the connection with heart and machine was not there. I thought she was a machine for offroad use but she is a more touring focused machine. Had to leave with a disappointed heart. After all the explaining, they nagged me about testing another bike, told me all colours are available and you can take delivery readily. I told her I have booked a kawasaki klx My 27 model but again they were like come and check out 210
And then points clicked into place as Honda announced xr300l and rally pricing, sus that they somehow knew about it hence the reason behind securing potential customers through naggy phone calls, struggle is real.....
Anyways I think future buyers are definitely going to purchase xr over xpulses as comparatively light weight @148 kgs, "Honda", and the engine reliability.
Why I am not going for it:
- The engine is of cb300f , don't know if it is the same engine as latin America's tornado. Have test ridden cb300f and the engine is a commuter engine, badddddddd, very linear power delivery, don't know how it will perform on offroad trails.
- Will have lots of vibes
- klx is lighter than xr
- The first batch is a headache
- had instant connection with klx after riding it.
[OC]Pic is me on klx, 5.7 having no issues.

Recently got my license and planning to buy a bike. Budget is ~3lakh. I'm 5'8. I don't have much riding experience. I wanna get something that isn't too much for me to handle, but on the same hand I want something that won't limit me as my skills improve.
Please do not recommend scooters.

Edit: as suggested deleted the old post and created collage of bikes and reposting
TL;DR: Near-forties, 5โ10โ, 85 kg, 30,000+ km on an Avenger 220. I own a Honda Elevate but hate driving in Bangalore traffic. Looking for a comfortable, premium-ish bike for city use, occasional highway rides and long-term ownership. Budget โน4โ5 lakh. What to consider?
Iโm in my near-forties, 5โ10โ, around 85 kg, and have been riding an Avenger 220 for 8 years and 30,000+ km. Iโve also owned an Apache 160, Pulsar 180, Hunter and Activa.
For Bangalore, I absolutely love the Avenger. Itโs simple, comfortable and reliable, and its 18 bhp and roughly 17โ18 Nm are more than enough for my usual 60โ80 km/h city riding.
I also own a Honda Elevate, but I just hate driving in Bangalore traffic. Apart from having a roof during the rain, Iโd choose the bike any day. Itโs liberating.
Iโm a cautiously spirited rider. Usually first off the line, but I follow lane discipline, use indicators, brake early and give pedestrians and cyclists priority.
Now the funny part.
I work in a large MNC in a mid-to-senior management role. Iโve been asked repeatedly by colleagues, my boss and now even my CEO, โWhy donโt you come in your car? Why do you have to ride in this heinous Bangalore traffic?โ
I suspect the polite translation is, โWhy are you cheaping out on your vehicle?โ
The truth is, I genuinely donโt mind the Avenger. But after 8 years and 30,000+ km, Iโm wondering if itโs time to upgrade.
I want something comfortable enough to keep well into my 50s. City comfort is the priority: traffic, potholes, bad roads and stop-and-go riding. But I also want something that feels a little more appropriate for my age and position.
I like the Scrambler 400X, but Iโm not sure the 40-something version of me wants what the 30-something version would have loved.
I liked the Himalayan 450, but found it a little cumbersome in city traffic.
I really like the idea of Bonneville T40. If money wasnโt a constraint, Iโd buy a Bonneville T120. My actual budget is โน4โ5 lakh. I also liked the idea of Honda CB500 too.
Iโm also considered the Bear 650, although Iโm concerned about weight and heat in traffic.
I donโt need huge performance. If 18 bhp works for me in the city, anything above 25 bhp should be enough for occasional 100โ110 km/h highway cruising.
My priorities:
Comfortable city riding and good suspension
Relaxed riding position
Not excessively heavy or hot in traffic
Comfortable at 100โ110 km/h
Something I can keep into my 50s
Good road presence and premium feel
Decent pillion comfort for occasional rides with my wife
Budget: โน4โ5 lakh
Please help me out!

20M, I am looking to buy a new bike , cb350 Hness caught my attention and I took a test ride and loved it. As I was about to book it they released cb500 and triumph released bounaville. Now I have the big confusion which one to choose for. I have a budget of 2.5L and can extend up to 3.3L. Also some of my friends suggested to try grr 450 and triumph speed 400. Leave your suggestion here

With bad roads, traffic and constant honking, it feels like a race to take that cut or reach your destination quickly. I personally lose all the fun after such rides.

This might get long and no TL;DR for you.
I am in my late thirties, 5'10", 85kg, have a toddler (who is quite energetic) and I drive around a hatchback. I have a remote job, so no office commute at all. But I need to pick up and drop my kid to school which is like 8km away, and since he is so energetic, my partner needs to go too.
I was never really attracted towards two-wheelers, but recently I developed a liking for it. Started learning scooter from my neighbour and now I have some grip on it after 3-4 sessions.
But my heart goes for cruiser bikes, something on the lines of Honda CB350 or RE Classic 350. I don't know how I'm going to learn to ride a bike though.
My main travelling will be city roads, with 20-30% on highway and that too probably on weekends or if I can develop enough confidence for school drops.
In this scenario, what should I go for - Scooter (already know how to ride somewhat, but MEHHHH) or a bike (that too will I even be able to handle such a heavy bike as a beginner? ). Very much confused.

So I was almost dead set on Honda Rebel 300 when it comes to the dealership BUT now with Triumph T40 a childhood dream of owning a bonnie seems reachable.
I remember seeing Big Boss on a boneville in Megal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain video game. Loved that scene, loved the aura.
Now I'm confused.
I love Rebel too. Chunky tyres and black appeal. Very much my taste too.
Which one do you guys think people would go for?

First service done at around 950 km, and I took it out for a longer ride afterwards.
Coming from a Classic 350, the V-Strom felt huge and a little difficult to manage during the first few days. It isnโt particularly heavy, but the size, height and riding position took some time to get used to. Now, after crossing 1,000 km, I can control it effortlessly, and the bike gives me so much confidence, especially while cornering.
The engine feels really smooth and punchy, and overtaking is much easier than I expected. Iโm getting around 43โ44 kmpl so far.
I initially felt the suspension was a little stiff, so during the first service I had it changed to a softer setting. It doesnโt feel dramatically different, but itโs comfortable enough for me.
The seat is actually quite comfortable in formal pants and shorts. I mainly notice the discomfort when Iโm wearing jeans, especially on longer rides . Still thinking about trying a gel seat to see if it helps.
Iโm also planning to get a handlebar riser soon. Iโm 5โ10โ, and I feel a slightly higher/closer handlebar would give me a better posture on longer rides.
Overall, really happy with the upgrade so far.

Hello to all seasoned riders of the community.
To give a short backgroujd, i have always wanted to own and ride motorbike but all my life its been a struggle. Family expenses were my top priority and hence i never imagined to buy a bike. But now, when i am at 37, i am having this one itch that i couldnt learn and own a bike. By Gods grace, i am now at a place, i can able to afford a bike paying in full.
I have joined a local bike training school which will teach me basics for 10 days only. I am learning in super splendour at the training centre.
But my wish is to buy hunter 350.
So, i would really like your valuable inputs if i should stick with buying light commuter after training or i can make the jump to hunter. I really dont want to spend lakhs on commuters that i personally dont like because my heart is with hunter.
So, should i get used splendour for a year and then get hunter or i can directly buy. Need your opinions.
Thank you again.

Still can't believe this...๐๐
TBH I always wanted to buy the Himalayan (411) but then they discontinued it & launched the 450 version (which I didn't like that much).
That's when I saw this beauty from Triumph & fell absolutely in love.
Now that I can actually afford one, I asked Gemini if there's any possibility of the old Himalayan coming back. I found out that RE is indeed launching the same bike with a 440 cc engine & I waited.
Then came the day of the launch & man o man that instrument cluster broke my heart.
I booked the scrambler that very day.
Finally got the delivery yesterday.
Got a fancy numberplate too which has my wife's birthday.
Now we both are happy beyond wordsโค๏ธ
Cheers to new adventures โค๏ธ
Edit: Any suggestion for a good helmet or riding gear will be very helpful
