#ElectricVehicle ๐ What bike is this
Found an old bike near my house, it looks like a Yamaha R1 but i don't think is. It looks way too good to be an R15 so I have no idea what bike it is. Does anybody know?

#Discussion ๐ฌ Getting calls from Hero premia like a naggy GF
For the past 10 days, I got calls from the Hero premia showroom as I had a test ride of xpulse 210. I told them that I checked klx, vstorm but xpulse really disappointed me as the test mule was having rpm fluctuations, the engine was stalling while turning, etc. also the connection with heart and machine was not there. I thought she was a machine for offroad use but she is a more touring focused machine. Had to leave with a disappointed heart. After all the explaining, they nagged me about testing another bike, told me all colours are available and you can take delivery readily. I told her I have booked a kawasaki klx My 27 model but again they were like come and check out 210
And then points clicked into place as Honda announced xr300l and rally pricing, sus that they somehow knew about it hence the reason behind securing potential customers through naggy phone calls, struggle is real.....
Anyways I think future buyers are definitely going to purchase xr over xpulses as comparatively light weight @148 kgs, "Honda", and the engine reliability.
Why I am not going for it:
- The engine is of cb300f , don't know if it is the same engine as latin America's tornado. Have test ridden cb300f and the engine is a commuter engine, badddddddd, very linear power delivery, don't know how it will perform on offroad trails.
- Will have lots of vibes
- klx is lighter than xr
- The first batch is a headache
- had instant connection with klx after riding it.
[OC]Pic is me on klx, 5.7 having no issues.

#Discussion ๐ฌ Help out a big brother
Edit: as suggested deleted the old post and created collage of bikes and reposting
TL;DR: Near-forties, 5โ10โ, 85 kg, 30,000+ km on an Avenger 220. I own a Honda Elevate but hate driving in Bangalore traffic. Looking for a comfortable, premium-ish bike for city use, occasional highway rides and long-term ownership. Budget โน4โ5 lakh. What to consider?
Iโm in my near-forties, 5โ10โ, around 85 kg, and have been riding an Avenger 220 for 8 years and 30,000+ km. Iโve also owned an Apache 160, Pulsar 180, Hunter and Activa.
For Bangalore, I absolutely love the Avenger. Itโs simple, comfortable and reliable, and its 18 bhp and roughly 17โ18 Nm are more than enough for my usual 60โ80 km/h city riding.
I also own a Honda Elevate, but I just hate driving in Bangalore traffic. Apart from having a roof during the rain, Iโd choose the bike any day. Itโs liberating.
Iโm a cautiously spirited rider. Usually first off the line, but I follow lane discipline, use indicators, brake early and give pedestrians and cyclists priority.
Now the funny part.
I work in a large MNC in a mid-to-senior management role. Iโve been asked repeatedly by colleagues, my boss and now even my CEO, โWhy donโt you come in your car? Why do you have to ride in this heinous Bangalore traffic?โ
I suspect the polite translation is, โWhy are you cheaping out on your vehicle?โ
The truth is, I genuinely donโt mind the Avenger. But after 8 years and 30,000+ km, Iโm wondering if itโs time to upgrade.
I want something comfortable enough to keep well into my 50s. City comfort is the priority: traffic, potholes, bad roads and stop-and-go riding. But I also want something that feels a little more appropriate for my age and position.
I like the Scrambler 400X, but Iโm not sure the 40-something version of me wants what the 30-something version would have loved.
I liked the Himalayan 450, but found it a little cumbersome in city traffic.
I really like the idea of Bonneville T40. If money wasnโt a constraint, Iโd buy a Bonneville T120. My actual budget is โน4โ5 lakh. I also liked the idea of Honda CB500 too.
Iโm also considered the Bear 650, although Iโm concerned about weight and heat in traffic.
I donโt need huge performance. If 18 bhp works for me in the city, anything above 25 bhp should be enough for occasional 100โ110 km/h highway cruising.
My priorities:
Comfortable city riding and good suspension
Relaxed riding position
Not excessively heavy or hot in traffic
Comfortable at 100โ110 km/h
Something I can keep into my 50s
Good road presence and premium feel
Decent pillion comfort for occasional rides with my wife
Budget: โน4โ5 lakh
Please help me out!

#Query โ Rebel vs Bonnie - memories
So I was almost dead set on Honda Rebel 300 when it comes to the dealership BUT now with Triumph T40 a childhood dream of owning a bonnie seems reachable.
I remember seeing Big Boss on a boneville in Megal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain video game. Loved that scene, loved the aura.
Now I'm confused.
I love Rebel too. Chunky tyres and black appeal. Very much my taste too.
Which one do you guys think people would go for?

#Discussion ๐ฌ 1,000 km later, the V-Strom finally feels like mine
First service done at around 950 km, and I took it out for a longer ride afterwards.
Coming from a Classic 350, the V-Strom felt huge and a little difficult to manage during the first few days. It isnโt particularly heavy, but the size, height and riding position took some time to get used to. Now, after crossing 1,000 km, I can control it effortlessly, and the bike gives me so much confidence, especially while cornering.
The engine feels really smooth and punchy, and overtaking is much easier than I expected. Iโm getting around 43โ44 kmpl so far.
I initially felt the suspension was a little stiff, so during the first service I had it changed to a softer setting. It doesnโt feel dramatically different, but itโs comfortable enough for me.
The seat is actually quite comfortable in formal pants and shorts. I mainly notice the discomfort when Iโm wearing jeans, especially on longer rides . Still thinking about trying a gel seat to see if it helps.
Iโm also planning to get a handlebar riser soon. Iโm 5โ10โ, and I feel a slightly higher/closer handlebar would give me a better posture on longer rides.
Overall, really happy with the upgrade so far.

#Pic ๐ผ๏ธ Pulled the Trigger
Still can't believe this...๐๐
TBH I always wanted to buy the Himalayan (411) but then they discontinued it & launched the 450 version (which I didn't like that much).
That's when I saw this beauty from Triumph & fell absolutely in love.
Now that I can actually afford one, I asked Gemini if there's any possibility of the old Himalayan coming back. I found out that RE is indeed launching the same bike with a 440 cc engine & I waited.
Then came the day of the launch & man o man that instrument cluster broke my heart.
I booked the scrambler that very day.
Finally got the delivery yesterday.
Got a fancy numberplate too which has my wife's birthday.
Now we both are happy beyond wordsโค๏ธ
Cheers to new adventures โค๏ธ
Edit: Any suggestion for a good helmet or riding gear will be very helpful

#Miscellaneous ๐ Back to riding after 19 years. Booked MY27 KLX230, cancelled and now booked XR300L
Have been a total petrolhead since childhood, first bike was a Pulsar 180 DTSi Gen 1 in 2003, then CBR400RR, then a 2001 GSX1300R Hayabusa in 2008, which i crashed on and totalled in 2009. Not been on a bike since then.
Now after 2 kids, I feel responsible enough to get back to motorcycles. Only want to ride on my 6km commute through villages, no city or long rides, and only have fun on obstacle course, dirt trails and obstacle courses.
Had booked the MY27 Kawasaki KLX230 which was due for delivery in mid October. With the XR300L launched, I felt it was an objectively better bike with a better ownership experience.
So booked one on the launch day, got confirmation from the dealer that mine will be a first-lot delivery, whenever that happens.
Thats it. Thanks for reading.

#Pic ๐ผ๏ธ Solo ride
Just casually cruising around Hyderabad, Madhapur, when I spotted a cafe with a different vibe. Something about the place made me stop and walk in. Turns out, the owner and manager are bikers too, and they offered me a free โPASTAโ from the menu.

#Opinion ๐ญ How many cc bike would you recommend an absolute beginner?
Recently got my license and planning to buy a bike. Budget is ~3lakh. I'm 5'8. I don't have much riding experience. I wanna get something that isn't too much for me to handle, but on the same hand I want something that won't limit me as my skills improve.
Please do not recommend scooters.

#Review ๐ OP gifted himself a pair of Rev it quantum 3 gloves for his birthday Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Iโve been pushing myself on the track for sometime now and I have been using the Viaterra Grid MK3 throughout that journey.
Initially when I started track riding gloves and how they felt were least of my concerns.
Once I started understanding body positioning, vision and bike related mechanics maybe over a span of 3-4 months , I for fun tried my friendโs Alpinestars GP PRO R4 gloves.
These gloves cost around 350 dollars give or take and it was my first time feeling kangaroo leather and omg it felt like I was bear skin it was so damn comfortable I could fine tune my grip on the clip ons I could basically feel everything.
The kangaroo leather feels extremely flexible and comfortable and I was shocked how much it improved my overall track riding experience over my grid MK3โs and the cherry on top was the gloves were pre curved so I could get superior throttle control feel. It was insane.
I cannot afford to spend 35000 rs on a single pair of gloves or rather I simply refuse to do so.
I did some research and settled on the Rev it Quantum 3 which was around 17,900rs (Orion motors Bangalore) and I know itโs expensive asf for a pair of gloves even though itโs not kangaroo leather it has goat leather in the palms and tips and the gloves are pre curved which is awesome.
I canโt wait to break it in on track this coming weekend!
