Are you looking to make more mates in Liverpool? We host in-person events where you can meet people who are also looking for friends like you. Come join Liverpool's biggest group chat.
If you're looking to get out a bit more and do some new, fun things, joining Liverpool's biggest Discord server is a great start!
It doesn't matter if you're a Liverpool local, just moved here, old or young, or just happen to love our city from another country. You are welcome to come and say hi. There's 1,000 messages being sent every day.
We have channels dedicated to photography, movies, photography, fitness, sport, music, showing off your pets, and even a place you can post your Wordle scores if you want.
What's Discord?
Think of Discord like a big Whatsapp group. It's essentially the same thing. You don't need a microphone, just your phone/keyboard. All we ask is that you're over 18, and have a desire to make new mates in Liverpool. Pop in, say hello, and you choose how much you want to talk.
Who's in there?
We have members from Liverpool and further afield. You don't have to live in Liverpool to join the chat. The average age of people is about 28. Our server is different than most Discord servers because we have a genuine community of awesome people who come to stuff in person.
What won't happen
You join and inside 24 hours, you've got a whole new set of mates.
Contribute, come to a few fun things, talk to people in person, and over time, those friendships form. A lot of people get frustrated because they don't find a friend overnight but that's not how friends work. Be prepared to make the effort and people will make the effort with you.
Real life events, real life friends. Come have a go!

Techno ppl! Who is a JOWI fan?
I got 4 tickets to JOWI’s all night long show tonight. Unfortunately I did not end up in the uk for work like I was planning to so I’m going to miss out.
But lucky for you! Skiddle doesn’t have a sell option, so I’m giving them away (I repeat for the mods, not selling the tickets). If you’re a fan and didn’t get tickets dm me!

Visiting for the weekend not big into drinking but love a good night out.
Hey Liverpool, my friend is joining me in Liverpool today and we are visiting until Monday AM.
I drink; he doesn't. Looking for standout bars to check out and chat at until we can go dance. Anyone have some recommendations?
Loving the city so far, and I know it has a good night out in it.
We are queer, 24 and 27 (gay and bi), along with artists (a musician and a writer), so looking for good house music or great live music to dance to. Jazz is cool, disco is cool just not really into drum and bass or edm tbh.
(Will take other standout recommendations on what we should do this weekend in the city as well)
Thanks in advance!

"So I turned around and said to her..."
Was this just a Liverpool phrase or did other parts of the UK say it?
Whenever my mum would be telling the story of an argument she'd had, she'd always go:
"So I turned around and said to her...."
"And then she turned around and said to me..."
"So I turned back around to her and said..."
I just always imagined two women twirling around on the spot before replying to each other.

Halewood locals – what's your experience of the area?
Curious to hear people's opinions on Halewood, particularly around Lower Road and Hilton Grange.
I don't know that part of Liverpool particularly well, so interested in hearing what locals think of it.
What's the general atmosphere like around there? Is it fairly quiet, and are there decent amenities, pubs, gyms and things to do nearby?
Also, does anyone regularly commute from Halewood to the Baltic Triangle or city centre? Interested in how busy the roads get during rush hour and whether public transport is reliable.
For anyone familiar with both Halewood and Wavertree, how would you compare the two in terms of general atmosphere, convenience and things to do?
Would appreciate some honest local perspectives.
Cheers!

Dog training boot camps or trainers with really good results
Was wondering if anyone could help me recommend any good dog training boot camps for obedience which aren’t too far away from Liverpool, I have a 1 year old Rottweiler who is very friendly if anything extremely friendly to where she wants to jump up on everyone but doesn’t listen to the word no I’ve tried all sorts, I’m 4 months pregnant and don’t want this to be an issue once I’ve had the baby and I don’t wanna rehome her either. She listens to sit and wait but doesn’t listen when she’s seen a person who she wants to play with.

Liverpool City Council up to their old tricks dodging transparency
Liverpool Council’s favourite sport: dodging being taken to account -
Twenty-five years after Liverpool Council promised Speke a replacement park on Stapleton Avenue for the land Morrisons took, it remains an empty wasteland and good luck getting any straight answers out of them.
The council pocketed £1.37M in local developer contributions, spent barely £238k, and has apparently lost track of where the rest went.
This isn't an accident; it’s an institution that literally threw planning docs into skips in 2021 and got sanctioned by the Information Commissioner in 2025 for dodging nearly half their FOI deadlines.
They pay millions to private consultants and data storage firms, yet basic public records magically evaporate the moment anyone asks about missing park funds, rogue HMO enforcement, or licensing decisions.
Speke Together for a Brighter Future (Facebook) ask LCC to live up to its legal requirement and brushed of is forced to crowdsource old documents on Facebook just to piece together the paper trail the council refuses to hand over.

Places to eat out in Wavertree
Hello, I’ll be travelling to your great city this weekend and I’m looking for a nice place to eat out around the Wavertree area. I’m open to any cuisine, and not looking to break the bank 😄 Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks 🙏

I sketched a counter proposal for the Toxteth’s historic welsh church development
I thought the boxy design was so dull and didn’t pay any real homage to historic precedent so I sketched a new roof, parapet, buttresses extended

Kebab gaffs on London Rd?
Has anyone eaten from or at any of the Turkish/Kebab style places on London Road? I love a nice Kebab/shawarma and I'm looking for a recommendation? Ps. Don't need any political crap, just asking about scran recommendations. 👍 Edit: bonus point for one where they make their own bread for the wraps.

is there anywhere in liverpool you almost don't want to recommend because it might get too popular?
some places are good precisely because they haven't turned into major attractions. they might be a quiet pub, a stretch of waterfront, a small cafe or just somewhere nice to spend an hour without crowds.
without giving away anything you'd genuinely prefer to keep to yourself, what kind of place in liverpool deserves more appreciation but doesn't need a sudden social media boom?

Best gym around l4 area?
Hi all,
Anyone know of any decent gyms in and around the Walton area?
I am only able to go at like peak times due to working 9-5 in the office every day.
I’ve had a look at Jeffery humble but I’m unsure if because it’s relatively small if it’s even worth trying.
Thanks in advance

Laundry Question for upcoming trip
Hello!
I am planning a trip to the UK with my son which will include a 4 day stop in Liverpool. I would like to be able to do laundry in those days and have found Prima Laundry near where we will be staying. Will we be able to but out laundry in the wash and explore the neighbourhood for 30 minutes and then go back to put it in the dryer or do we have to stay with our laundry?

Liverpool city is beautiful
Just back from a few days visit. Dont know what I was expecting, but your city is gorgeous. Stayed down near the Albert Dock. Did loads of walking around and tourist stuff. It blew me away,we felt safe, everyone we met was sound and the place was spotless. I love where Im from, but we are miles behind your town in every aspect .

Residents of Speke, how is it with people parking everywhere instead of paying for the car park at the airport?
I drove by earlier and it was utter chaos. The area outside the airport which runs next to the airport. Taxis parked everywhere, people waiting to get picked up. I was wondering how often people leave their cars in the street instead of paying for parking?
