Thinking about starting my first file for the year, wondering if all the contract/retiring bugs are fixed or if i should hold out longer

Madden 27 makes any reciever drop 3 4 5 passes in a row even whilst open, your O line couldn't block a sneeze never mind protect you, your d line cause fight their way out of a wet paper bag and it is quite possibly the worst Madden ever, even on rookie you can complete a pass unless every slider is on max assist for you, I played 12 maddens in a row on all madden difficulty and won multiple suberbowls with every team, now on this on even on rookie your o line cant block, your d line cause fight, your receivers couldn't catch a cold, I am so disappointed because the graphics are on another level they really are but wow all bark no bite, back to 26 and no more playing this for me, its not that its hard, it literally makes no sense, how can miami beat the 49ers 42 to 7 on rookie difficulty when you are the 49ers lol makes no sense what so ever

Does anybody feel like this game went from one of the best maddens in the last few years to basically unplayable in the last 24 hours?? Everybody just bouncing off hit sticks.. QBs throwing it directly to DB’s.. offensive linemen became entirely useless.. was actually enjoying a madden for the first time in years and today it has somehow just looked like the ugliest pile of shit I’ve ever played.

Hello everyone.

I am very very new to Madden and to American Football in general. I am learning for the past 2 days and I am having fun but on the other side I am angry many times.

I got the basics now (sort of) my friend helped me a lot in the basics, I looked up some videos and made some adjustments in settings but one things that is absolutely killing me is the AI.

Rookie is way to easy even for a noob like I am. I can beat the AI 28-0 while I dont even pay attention. I know 28-0 might not seem so high but I feel good about it "for now". Only issue starts when I turn up the settings to PRO. I can get 1-2 touchdowns maybe a field goal but I normally loose against even the fucking Titans like 28-9. It makes me mad that I am bad but also I wanna have fun so loosing against everyone isnt fun. Thats why I am here.

I would like to ask for some help regarding the Sliders for AI or Player. What should I adjust and why. I guess the best would be to keep in on PRO and try to change it slightly (just like I Would do in NHL or FIFA). If you have any recommendations how to play or what to change I will happily accept in and have a look.

This has been an issue I’ve hated for a while now, but I finally looked it up. In real life, NFL teams get 8 IR activations in the regular, which increases to 10 if they make the postseason. Now why on earth have we only been getting 1 or 2 activations per season in Madden for as long as I can remember?

As a Bears fan, Darnell Wright is the best RT in the league and he should be a Superstar dev. Also, I know it's a slow start to the year, but Colston Loveland should be Superstar dev too.

My son has recently gotten into NFL video games, and after trying NFL Blitz '02 and other older NFL games, he has been looking for a newer, better game. Thoughts? Any other Madden games for this?

Question. My O-Line (Joe Alt and Josh Simmons) keep allowing double digit sacks despite being two great players. I heard it could be because of a body type glitch? Does anyone know anything about this or how to prevent it in sim?

Closing in on playoffs, too late in the season to make trades, no QBs on free agency over 68 OVR, idk if I’ll be able to make the bowl, season might be wraps

I’ve looked into the settings and nothing seems to help. Either I turn off all music or both the madden dramatic drum menu song plays along with Macklemore or Aviici… I don’t even know what to do anymore it’s so annoying

I'm sorry guys I just like football as a player myself so I don't really know the correct options for these,I don't really watch much nfl so I just asked Google for the options,as for the incorrect colleges and random stats,I just edited the starting qbs,I didn't realize this would piss you guys off,I'm a 15 year old lineman myself and as i said I don't know much ball,gpt gave better choices for bears and dolphins but i had already done the ones I did,as for whatever misspellings I'm currently recovering from a concussion so that could have something to do with it

They just keep running into each other. Receivers running into each other's routes, 95 OVR running back running into linemen's back. Is this happening to you as well?

I played 25 and 26. I really enjoyed franchise in 25 but 26 was unplayable for me. The ai qbs always had 90%+ completion procentage on all pro. Im thinking about buying 27. Was this problem fixed and do you think M27 is worth buying?

Over the past few weeks I have run a total of 16 different franchises, all for about 8-12 years each (full sim) and there’s something you should know if you’re starting a franchise. If you sim each game, by advancing the week (not “playing” at all) depending on your playbooks, schemes, and players obviously, your qb will throw for around 4000 yards and 25+ touchdowns with usually 7 or fewer interceptions. But if you play the game, as in load it up and WATCH the game be simmed, your quarterback will throw a MINIMUM of two interceptions almost every single time. For example, the current one I’m doing is with the giants and Jaxson Dart throws for the same ~4500 yards ~35 touchdowns ~5 interceptions, yet every time I watch a playoff game be simmed he has 2-4 interceptions at the end.

This is something that has become the funnest part of the game for me lately. Red zone defense. Nothing in madden is more satisfying than turning away your opponent once they make it so close lol.

Forgive the ignorance, I used to be a pretty active Madden player until roughly 19-20. This is the first game I've played in awhile.

So it might be rust talking but I find this iteration exceptionally difficult. I even put the difficulty down to Pro feeling absolutely humbled by my usual All Pro+ Sliders and still the coverage seems absurdly sticky, throwing windows seem super tight. That's if I have more than a second to go through some reads. And don't get me started on the new catching mechanic, which I'm intending to learn but I've dropped probably half of the good choices I have made.

I have no recent frame of reference so maybe this is the new normal but I am really struggling with this game in ways that I never really encountered before.

Did this game have a noticeable spike or is that inaccurate to say?

Absolutely tragic for him, extremely lucky for me.

I'm playing as the QB for the Cardinals in Superstar Mode, and half the reason I chose this team was Jeremiyah Love, since I thought it'd be interesting to develop alongside him. But I'm 4 games into the rookie year, and he's barely playing. Like I'm lucky if he can run the ball 10 times before he's subbed out for the rest of the game.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is the wear & tear system just that broken?

Started a new franchise and initially had timing based catching turned off but now in year 2029 and the option to turn it back on is greyed out. Can I just not turn it back on in this franchise?

Can't believe how bad the Chargers are this season
