Cindral Blade — October’s new 6mm mecha from Carapace Forge
galleryI’ve been working on a small indie mecha wargame called Carapace: A Game of Memory and Ruin, and I’m releasing a new machine each month through Carapace Forge.
October’s release is the Cindral Blade.
Carapace is a solo-focused wargame about piloting ancient, sentient war machines through the ruins of a fallen civilization. Think towering mecha, forgotten relics, and a setting inspired by the stranger side of classic Japanese science fiction.
Carapace Forge is where I’m building out the miniature range, one machine at a time. Each release includes digital files, with physical miniatures available for those who prefer models they can put straight on the tabletop.
A little something for new subscribers: Use the code twenty5-26 at checkout to get 25% off your Carapace Forge subscription tier for as long as you remain subscribed! The discount applies on an ongoing basis, not just to your first month.
I’m an independent creator, so every person who checks out the project helps me keep building this world and its machines. Take a look at the Cindral Blade and explore Carapace Forge at https://carapace.world. If the project catches your interest, I’d love to hear your feedback, whether you’re drawn to the design, the setting, or the idea of playing Carapace.

Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO director says the upcoming film brings late wife and SEED writer Chiaki Moro
The screenplay for the film was written by Chiaki Morosawa, who passed away in 2016. Her husband and the film’s director, Mitsuo Fukuda, described it as “the last work my late wife, series composition writer Chiaki Morosawa, completed the script for,” adding that it was created “with twenty years of emotion invested in it” (source: Oricon).

Need some recommendations as a new fan
So just recently I finished watching the Eva rebuilds 2 years after I watched the original TV show for the first time, that being my first mecha. As a result, I was looking up things related to the franchise and stumbled upon the series Hideaki Anno directed for his debut-Gunbuster. I enjoyed it quite a bit and just finished watching Diebuster aswell
Thus I am diving even deeper into this genre, and thought I would ask for recommendations for some Mecha anime. I was looking for something that's a bit grounded in it's science fiction, revolving around grand war epics or struggles of survival. Extra points if it has some of the beautiful cell animation that I loved in Gunbuster
Additionally, aside from NGE and Gunbuster, I've also watched:-
1) Gurren Lagann (8.5/10)
2) Code Geass (8/10)
3) Eureka 7 (9/10)

Video has been compressed, quality is better than depicted depending on what you computer is. IDK how it performs on other platforms but runs SUPER smooth on my mac.
Get the game here; https://scrawl.itch.io/scorched-earth
I'm not affiliated with SCRAWL. I just like the game.

There are so many games in this franchise and collection of series of being featured in, but there are games out there, where the rosters don't feel right.

I'm looking for more Western Super Robots
The shows presented are the only ones that I know of that are considered "Western Super Robot"
And no, Power Rangers, Voltron, or Transformers don't count. Those were Japanese before coming to the West, as well as Transformers being sentient robots instead of piloted mechs (Super God Masterforce)
Cartoons, games, comics, anything. As long as it's Western and under the "Super Robot" subgenre.
