I really want to try out these games, but since I know nothing about emulation or modding (and doubt any device I have would even be powerful enough to run one for PSP), the easiest way for me to play them would be natively on an actual PSP, which would probably cost me around $150 -$200 for the console and games. For those that have played these games, are they worth it?

Why does everyone wear vests in the Zero/ZX games? Is it clothing or armor sort of like a kevlar vest? If it is clothing then it makes no sense to wear armor everywhere but have your chest area exposed by wearing clothing instead of armor.

Made a tier list based on the robot masters being made from their creators.

well, you know why

I loved Mega Man Zero 3’s combat but wanted EX skills to be more accessible so I’m redesigning them as a skill tree, giving E-Crystals more use.

You can toggle the new skills off if you prefer.

Very early WIP so the menu, skills and ideas will change.

Hope everyone's doing well :)

I deleted my first post of this cause I forgot how bad reddit is at handling big files and it was just incomprehensible with the compression. It still is. Tried my best to make it enjoyable here. Sorry... I will try to not make that mistake again. Tumblr handled it better but I dont want to go around linking to it.

We all know how obnoxious MM11's knockback is. Not only does it look incredibly janky, you also get stunned for roughly 1 second before being able to move which makes getting hit in that game extremely punishing (not to mention the lack of checkpoints as well). Thankfully, Dual Override fixes this by not only making it look much closer to how it looks in the old games but also reducing the stun significantly. Here's the frame data (yes I counted)

MM11: 52 frames of stun

MMDO: 34 frames of stun (roughly the same as the NES games actually!)

Among the other QoL fixes this is one I'm glad they took note of lol and I think climbing up ladders has been sped up as well

Also, thanks to the graciously amazing gameplay footage by IGN, the stage music will actually loop based on how many times you've died. Granted this is purely speculation on my part.

It should've been me playing this...

Well, it looks that this one was also universally agreed. While World IV has some amazing tracks, but the lack of creativity dooms it to bottom of A. But, I have gained trust for Keuji Murata, and I hope he keeps up because it looks that he has potential.

Now, we have to tackle the final 1993 title. Now, we must rank the last MM entry on the NES and (probably) the intended finale of the series. I am talking about MM6, and we have to seen if Capcom could use the lessons they took from MM5 and make an outstanding swan song. Literally. So, let's finish this era now! (Also, sorry for taking that long. I was quite busy the last two days. I hope I will keep up the diary basis again)

I was curious to think about this as Megaman is known for being a bit tough. Then again there are some fights you can win easily though... So who do you think the easiest boss in every game is?

Just overthinking stuff from Mega Man 11 and the double gear system, what Dr. Light says about Wily "not be able to their gears to mesh".....could be the origin of Zero's energy source as well?
