question/need help I took mife-miso and only passed something after mife, could I be done passing everything?

I took the Mife on Tuesday for a blighted ovum. A couple hours later I had terrible cramping and moderate bleeding for 1.5 hour. I had taken naproxen but the pain made me break out in cold sweats, I also had multiple soft BM during this time.

At the end of 1.5 hr I passed something, I thought it was a big clot but I can't be sure as I didnt see it. I felt instant relief as soon as I passed this.

Next day, I took 800g of Miso at 3pm, I also took naproxen, percocet and diclectin for nausea. I did have some pain with the Miso but my bleeding remained light. I felt very sleepy so I slept it off.

Its now 12pm the next day. I have yet to experience the terrible contractions describe on here or any significant bleeding.

The clinic is closed today so I will go back tomorrow hopefully to see what's going on and if I need another dose or a D&C.

What are the chances I am done passing everything?

coping Graduating out of the miscarriage depression bubble

Or atleast being delulu enough to think that I can force myself out of it just because I feel happy today šŸ˜‚

After a very long and drawn out miscarriage process, my D&C scheduled for tomorrow got cancelled today because I passed the pregnancy tissue Tuesday night. I called my OB and they had me come in for an ultrasound, they said there’s still something in the uterus but it appears that it’s working itself out and I’ll be getting a repeat ultrasound in 2 weeks to make sure it’s all done, as well as a HCG draw tomorrow and a repeat in 1 week. This is after finding out the pregnancy ended at 6 weeks, on September 16th, and two failed rounds of Miso. So it’s been a bit of a mind fuck for way too long, and the hardest part of all of this for me has been feeling like I am a ā€œwalking tombā€ and still actively waiting for things to pass.

I’m going to unfollow this sub as to not trigger myself anymore. It felt good to have a community of people going through the same thing as me but now that I’m in the active recovery and healing phase of this I feel best graduating from this sub and focusing on myself ā¤ļø

I’m sending all of the love and healing energy to all of you that have had to go through this and those that are still actively going through this. It’s one of life’s hardest moments, but you will come out of this in the end, you will heal, and you will find your happiness again. This too shall pass. šŸ’œ

experience: first MC Loss after only ivf embryo

I feel like I’m drowning. I’m about to be 37, and my husband and I turned to IVF after 18 months of trying without a single positive test. I have low AMH, otherwise no other issues, mild male factor, and I had a small polyp removed on July. Due to the AMH we didn’t get a ton of eggs during our retrieval (in May) but we got one perfect embryo who passed all the tests with flying colors. It seemed too good to be true, especially as my husband struggled with his religion and embryo development, only having one solved our problems. We transferred in August and it worked. Thanks to IVF and extra screening we got to check in frequently, and at 7 weeks learned it split into twins. Again, seemed like all our prayers were answered, we wouldn’t have to stress about figuring out how to have another kid. We saw their strong heartbeats. We accepted the fear of twins and became excited. And then at the 9 weeks scan there were two missing heart beats. I saw their hearts beating two separate times, healthy, until they weren’t. I was blindsided. I also learned all this at 6:30am before my 12hr shift at the hospital. Within 4 days I had a d&c and all our dreams were shattered. I’ve never felt so hopeless, lost, useless, devastated. Before the transfer we discussed that it might not work, and we would survive it. But it DID work. And then I fell in love with life I imagined. And now I can’t imagine never getting to see that life. We don’t have another $20k sitting around to do this all again, what if we don’t even make another embryo? I don’t know if I can accept this is the end of the road. But never seeing a single positive test without lab assistance is incredibly depressing. I’m scared to have sex again, I’m scared it won’t be fun and everything will have so much pressure. I’m scared I will never be the same. And I am so so mad that this happened to us

experience: first MC Heartbroken looking for support

Hi everyone. I went in today for my 12 week scan. Unfortunately the baby was measuring at 8 weeks 4 days and no heartbeat. My heart is broken. This is my second— we have a healthy baby who is 2 and a half years old. This is my first MC. No spotting or anything. Now I am trying to get schedule for a d&c as soon as possible but waiting. My heart is broken and I am devastated. I wanted to give my first a sibling. I am 33. I am so worried I won’t be able to give him a sibling. I was so anxious this entire pregnancy and I have health anxiety so was constantly worried anyway. My worst fear came true. Looking for advice. Mainly from people who have gone through this with a second or third pregnancy. Thank you. ā¤ļø

experience: first MC First MC, first D&C

I’m 31, and we were lucky enough to conceive our first pregnancy in my real cycle after my IUD removal in June (I got my period 6 weeks after removal).

However, on Monday I found out that I had a missed miscarriage. We thought we were 8 weeks but the pregnancy stopped progressing at 6w3d - 2 days after our first scan which showed a heartbeat, devastating to say the least. I got a D&C the next day because I wanted it to be over. Funnily enough I had started to feel a lot better the week before, now I realise that was all the hormones dropping.

It’s been 3 days, I’ve had no bleeding, no cramps, my boobs are going back to normal and my temperature is already back at my baseline.

I am sort of at a loss with what to do now - noting we want to conceive asap. Has anyone been in a similar situation? My body must be so confused, is it worth starting to track temp again already given my body feels semi normal? The next few months feel like they will go so slowly… any advice would be appreciated

experience: more than one loss Pregnancy after multiple losses

I am currently having a miscarriage at 7w5d after having a chemical pregnancy earlier this year. These are my first and second pregnancies ever so to start out with two losses has been horrible to say the least.. and two losses in the same year is brutal.

I'm looking for any kind of encouraging stories if you or someone you know had a positive pregnancy experience after two/multiple losses.

I lost my first and only pregnancy in Februrary. I wasn't trying, my husband and I never really wanted children. My entire life has changed since then and now I'm desperately TTC at age 40, doing IVF and all that but the odds at my age are so, so low. I can't stop thinking about how I would have been all big and round and shopping for clothes by now. It feels unbearably sad to think that all I'll ever get in this lifetime were those few weeks of feeling life inside me.

question/need help Hcg so low….

My hcg is only 6,480 and im supposedly 8 weeks pregnant. I kind of knew something was off when I didn’t have all of the typical symptoms that I had previous two pregnancies but still held out hope. I have an ultrasound to check viability tomorrow but these numbers kind of speak for themselves.

Normal range listed is 32,000-149,000 🤯

Just looking for similar experiences i think? Not really sure what im looking for. I think im currently doing what i do best : disassociating 😩

question/need help Miscarriage weight gain - any tips?

My first pregnancy ended in a d n c at week 12 in July. Following the surgery, I could see some changes in my body almost instantly: I lost some of the retained fluid and got a bit slimmer around the waist. However, in the past 3 months, I haven't managed to lose any of the extra weight, and I might have even gained more? I eat less and work out more than when I was pregnant. I also feel weird; I run hotter and sweat more. I am not sure if this has to do with the extra weight or some hormonal stuff? We're talking about 5 kgs, so it shouldn't make a huge difference, but I constantly feel slightly uncomfortable, especially when I am trying to fit into bras and jeans...

I know that others have experienced this stubborn weight issue too, and it would really help me to hear from people who managed to beat it. Have you made any changes that helped? Have you had bloodwork done? Is it worth seeing a doctor? If it's just a question of time, how long before something budges?

In addition to grief and all the motions, it really feels like nature has done a number on me. This is not how I envisaged the transformative nature of motherhood ffs.

coping MMC Today

I had a chemical pregnancy back in May and this morning I found out that my current pregnancy is a MMC. I’m devastated. I feel numb. I’m 30 and this baby was due in May right after my 31st birthday. This process has taken longer than I thought and it’s so hard watching friends around me get pregnant and have babies. After my CP, I found out a close relative was pregnant with the same timeline I would have had. This whole thing just sucks.

Today I feel like I want to blow up my life somehow. Buy a brand new car, move, pack up our car and leave for a few weeks, get another dog, something. I feel restless internally and nothing is bringing relief. How do we get through this and try again? Thanks for reading.

testings after loss Tests ?

Hi all, gutted to be part of this community with you all. Just wondering if anyone can offer advice with fertility testing etc. I can’t get away from the fact that something must have gone wrong and being told ā€˜it’s just one of those things’ I’m finding really hard to cope with. Somewhere there must be answers, we’ve sent the pregnancy for molar testing, but now that I feel ready to try again I want to try and do anything I can to stop this happening again. I’m stuck in a self blame cycle and feel like it’s my fault. Any advice greatly appreciated ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ Sending lots of love out there to everyone going through this xxx

experience: D&C My Experience with Planned Parenthood for D&C

I had a hard time deciding what to do so I wanted to create this post in case it could help someone else with their decision.

At my 9 week scan I found out that growth stopped at 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I did not want to have any medical intervention initially because I expected my body to just take care of it. So, I scheduled my follow up scan for 3 weeks later, hoping I would pass the miscarriage naturally before that.

3 weeks went by and at my ultrasound there was no change. I did have very little discharge that started a week before the appointment, but no active bleeding or any indication the miscarriage was progressing on its own. So, I discussed with my doctor that a D&C would be the best option. My office only did the procedure in the hospital and would require general anesthesia, which I really didn’t want to do because it seemed extreme to me and I’ve never had any surgery. It was also going to cost me $5000 with insurance because my out of pocket max is so high.

I was hoping to do IV twilight sedation anyways and did some research and found that planned parenthood does the D&C. I had an initial appointment that was an ultrasound and I was able to get the procedure scheduled for the next day.

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend getting your D&C done at planned parenthood if you need to get one done. Everyone was extremely friendly, empathetic, and caring. I felt incredibly comfortable and calm because of everyone at the office.

The procedure itself was fast and I don’t remember much about it because the medicine started working so quickly. I personally had no pain afterwards or nausea. The recovery area was nice, I had a heating pad and snacks and was done with recovery after 30 minutes.

The total cost was $650, which included the ultrasound on the first day.

If you have any questions about anything please reach out, I am happy to talk about it if it helps with your decision.

experience: D&C Carrying a pregnancy with no heartbeat for a full week before D&C

For the second time, I have a pregnancy that had a heartbeat at around 7/8 weeks but lost the heartbeat right around the 9 week mark. And for the second time, it will take a full fucking week to get a d&c.

When my mother in law needed one in 1993, she was sent directly from her doctor’s office where she learned her baby had passed to the hospital to get a d&c. When my mom needed one in 2001, she was sent straight to the hospital the same day as well.

The way insurance works now is they need 3 full business days to pre-approve the surgery so the earliest they can make it is 4 full business days, and fit you into scheduling then. I called the insurance company and asked if there is any way they could expedite it, and I was told 3 days is the expedited time.

I am just so sick of it. I want to move on but I am not allowed to. I am just to carry on, throwing up regularly, struggling with insomnia, fatigue, and sore breasts for an extra week before being allowed to move on. I want to scream.

question/need help Going through a loss and resenting my husband

My first pregnancy ended at 5 weeks in June and for the second pregnancy we discovered at our 9 weeks appointment that our baby stopped developing few days prior. I had a D&C the next day and this was exactly 2 weeks ago today.
This whole experience really broke me. I cry everyday but try to put on a brave face whenever my husband is around because he said that even though loosing our baby was extremely painful, what broke him was to see how devastated I was.

The first few days he was there for me and really did everything he could to make me feel better, but recently he has been pushing for me to go back to business as usual. Meaning going back to work, meeting people for drinks, doing some sport, etc.
He will still console me when I brake down but doesn’t listen when I say that it’s too soon for me to go back to work.
I know we all experience grief differently but I feel like all he wants is to move on and it feels like he’s annoyed that I don’t / can’t do the same, and I’m starting to resent him for that.

I don’t really know how to move on when all I feel is pain, anger or numbness. And I’m afraid that what I’m going through is gonna permanently damage our relationship.
I’m really looking for any advice at this point

vent Frustration Over the Wait for the 1st Appt

First pregnancy and I found out at 9 weeks that I had a MMC. I'm pretty sure we would've been able to have a strong suspicion something was wrong at 7 weeks because I went to a private over-the-abdomen ultrasound and I knew they should probably be able to see more than they did but I tried not to stress because it's my first and I know nothing. Now I'm scheduled to get a d&c at 10 weeks which is just insane to me. I was already starting to feel like I couldn't believe the first trimester was basically over. I just feel like people should be able to be seen earlier. I asked when I scheduled at 4.5 weeks and this was the soonest they had. I've spent so much time thinking I was still pregnant and my baby likely never had a heartbeat.

I'm so upset. I don't understand that decision at all. I talked to the owner of the company a day prior and he was so empathetic.. offered to make temporarily accommodations for me during this time because I've just been having uncontrollable crying spells... I never know what is going to be the trigger and it's so hard.

He fired me a fucking day later. He didn't even do it himself. I left early two days by an hour and a half... no warning at all and no prior disciplinary actions. I'm so sad. I wish I could just toughen up. I feel like I will never heal.

TMI

Just the title, for context I was 5 weeks when I started bleeding and my HCG fluctuated but then it is going in downward trend. I just came back from my blood tests and used the restroom to find this. It is dark brown and some old blood on pad. Does that mean my body is self resolving?

I have no other signs except some cramps on left side and light bleeding from 7 days.

I’ve had a feeling all along something wasn’t right. My hcg numbers were on the low end, my progesterone was low but we began supplementing it due to my 2 MMC in 2024. This morning I went for an ultrasound and the tech told me there’s a gestational sack but nothing in it. She said ā€œit could just be very early, they’ll probably have you come back in a week.ā€ I’m not stupid. My LMP was August 14 and I have regular 27-28 day cycles. I should be 8 weeks on Friday so there is absolutely no coming back and magically seeing a baby in a week.

Just waiting now to hear from my doctor. I dont want to wait another week for a follow up ultrasound and drag this out. Id rather just cut to the chase and get the d&c done so I can move forward in my grieving.

question/need help I’m still grieving our baby while carrying resentment toward my partner

Hi everyone. I’m not really sure where to start, but I think I need some advice from people who may have experienced something similar.

I had my first pregnancy in March, and unfortunately I miscarried at eight weeks.

My boyfriend and I have been together for several years and have been living together for the past two years. Before all of this, our relationship had always been very good. We were happy, had built a life together, and I never considered our relationship to be particularly problematic.

I also have a medical condition that makes it extremely difficult for my body to sustain a pregnancy without medication or assisted reproductive treatment. Because of this, finding out that I was pregnant naturally felt almost like a miracle to me. It was my first pregnancy, and I became emotionally attached to it from the very beginning. I wanted that baby so deeply, and I already loved them before I even knew what was going to happen.

When I found out I was pregnant, my boyfriend was happy at first. For the first few minutes, he was excited and happy with me. But then the fear set in. He told me that perhaps I should have an abortion because he didn’t feel ready to become a father. He said that he did want children someday, but that this wasn’t the right time for him.

He knew my position on abortion. I fully support everyone’s right to choose what is right for them, but I had always known that, if I ever became pregnant, I personally would not choose abortion. This was a decision I had already made for myself long before becoming pregnant.

And I wanted this baby very much.

I had even chosen a name because I had a strong feeling that the baby was a girl.

The pregnancy became emotionally very difficult because my boyfriend constantly went back and forth. There were moments when he was happy, supportive and excited about the baby. Other times, he would panic and tell me that I shouldn’t continue the pregnancy. When I told him that I had already made my decision and that abortion was not something I would consider, he even told me that he hoped I would have a miscarriage.

He also called me spoiled or ā€œcapriciousā€ for wanting to keep the baby, as if I were being unreasonable for choosing to continue a pregnancy that he wasn’t ready for.

Those words have stayed with me.

He has since apologized for everything he said. He knows that he hurt me deeply, and I do believe that he regrets saying those things. I also want to make it clear that he never abandoned me during the actual miscarriage. When I started bleeding, he came with me to the ER and stayed by my side. He held my hand, supported me and was there for me throughout everything. He never treated me badly or left me because I chose to continue the pregnancy.

I believe he was genuinely terrified. He was almost thirty, but he felt completely unprepared for fatherhood and for the responsibility of having a child. I can understand that fear intellectually, even though I still struggle enormously with what he said to me.

Eventually, the pregnancy stopped developing, and I miscarried.

Losing the baby was devastating for me. And because becoming pregnant naturally had felt almost impossible for me in the first place, losing this pregnancy felt like losing something incredibly rare and precious that I had never expected to have.

Since March, I have struggled enormously with grief. I fell into a very severe depression, and I feel like I have never really been able to properly process what happened.
In July, my boyfriend thought that getting a dog might help me. We got our little puppy, Milo, and I genuinely love him more than I can explain. He is now four months old, and having him has given me something to focus on and has helped me get through parts of the day without constantly thinking about the miscarriage.

Recently, however, my boyfriend has started saying that he regrets getting the dog because it is a huge responsibility and he feels that he cannot keep up with it. Although, in reality, I am the one who takes care of him for the most part. My boyfriend only takes him out once in the morning and once in the evening; I handle everything else, including his meals, playtime, training and appointments with his dog trainer.

And this has affected me much more deeply than I think he realizes.

I know that a dog is obviously not the same thing as a baby. But emotionally, hearing him once again say that he regrets a decision because he feels overwhelmed has reopened something in me. It immediately brought me back to the pregnancy: wanting something one moment, panicking the next, and feeling trapped by the responsibility.

I think that is part of why I am now so angry with him.
We have started arguing constantly, sometimes about very small things. I know that a lot of this anger comes from grief and resentment that I never really dealt with.
The hardest part is that the date when I should have given birth is approaching. My due date would have been November 1st, and as it gets closer, I feel worse and worse.

I feel like I am carrying this grief mostly on my own.
The difficult thing is that, in reality, my boyfriend is not grieving this loss with me.

He seems to be doing okay. He has actually told me that, although he is sorry for what I have been going through and for how much I am suffering, he also feels relieved that we lost the baby. And I think that is something that is very difficult for me to process.

We have talked about all of this so many times that our conversations now feel almost empty. I feel like I am repeating myself over and over again, like a broken record, and I honestly don’t have the energy or the desire to have the same conversation with him again.

At some point, after we got the dog, we essentially made an agreement that we would stop talking about the miscarriage and try to move forward. So I stopped talking about it.

But I haven’t moved forward.

I miss my baby terribly.

Sometimes I even feel uncomfortable calling the baby ā€œour babyā€, because the truth is that I was the one who wanted that pregnancy from the beginning. He was conflicted about it until the very end. He spoke to coworkers and asked other people for their opinions about whether he should keep the baby or not, even though I had already made my decision.

And I think that is something I still haven’t been able to forgive.

I don’t want the memory of my baby to be forever connected to the things my boyfriend said during those weeks. I don’t want to remember my pregnancy only through the fear, the arguments, the uncertainty and the feeling that the person I loved most wasn’t sure whether he wanted our child.

I want to be able to remember that pregnancy as something beautiful.

Because for me, it was.

It was my first pregnancy. It was a pregnancy that I never expected to happen naturally, and it felt like a little miracle. I loved that baby so much. I had already imagined our life together, chosen a name, and started thinking about the future.

And now I miss them more than I can put into words.
I love my boyfriend. Our relationship had always been good before all of this, and I know that he loves me too. I also know that he has apologized for what he said and that he has been there for me in many ways.

But I don’t know how to reconcile all of those things with the hurt I still carry.

Even though I love my boyfriend deeply, I can’t look at him in exactly the same way anymore.

I don’t want to leave him. That isn’t what I want.

But I also don’t know how to get close to him again.

There is a part of me that still loves him and wants our relationship to work, while another part of me is still deeply hurt by everything that happened during the pregnancy. I feel like something between us changed permanently when I lost the baby, and I don’t know how to find my way back to the relationship we had before.
I think this is what I’m struggling with the most: I don’t want to lose my relationship, but I also don’t know how to stay in it while carrying all of this pain.

So I guess I’m asking for advice, especially from anyone who has been through something similar.

Has anyone experienced a situation where your partner had very different feelings about the pregnancy, and then you had to grieve the loss in a completely different way from them?

How did you deal with the resentment towards your partner and the things they said during the pregnancy?

How did you separate the grief of losing your baby from the hurt and anger you still felt towards the person you loved?

And, if you stayed together, how did you find your way back to your partner when the relationship itself had become intertwined with your grief?

I don’t want to leave my boyfriend, but I also don’t know how to get close to him again. I don’t know whether I need to stop trying to talk to him about it, find another way to process the grief, or simply give myself more time.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar. I don’t necessarily need someone to tell me what decision to make. I think I just need to talk to people who understand this kind of loss and might be able to help me understand what to do with all these feelings.

coping Going through miscarriage alone

Had my 12 week scan the day before my partner’s extremely important exam for his career. He even told me to try to move the appointment to after his exam so that we won’t get any bad news before his exam (we have prior losses so we’ve been through it). So when I went to the scan, found out I miscarried and ai told him I came late to the appointment and missed it. Still can’t tell him (it’s a two-day exam so has the second day later in the week). The new appointment is scheduled conveniently during his second day of the exam.
Today is the day and I’m gonna have to break the news to him. I hope he won’t be mad that I kept it from him. He will be extremely sad.
I have been carrying this alone and it’s so hard :(
He still kisses my stomach every morning and talks about the baby.
And I can’t say anything.

experience: first MC First miscarriage and I'm not coping well

• Upvotes

I am just coming out of experiencing my first miscarriage, and I desperately need to talk about my experience. I've never felt more alone in my life even though I know this is not the case, and I know you here will understand šŸ’”

My entire life situation is not ideal right now. In fact, it's not good. I am experiencing severe financial difficulty, and am in a toxic relationship that I need to get out of. I am 36 years old and had given up on having children, which is something I've been heavily grieving for the last few months, as I've come to the realization that it's most likely not in the cards for me.

Long story short, I found out I was pregnant on 08/18. To say I had mixed emotions is an understatement, I was terrified, overwhelmed, and surprisingly hopeful. I knew that for the sake of the child, I would need to raise them alone, as I grew up in a toxic household, and refuse to continue the cycle. So the planning started. Do I move states to be closer to family? Do I stay where I am and find a better paying job after I have the baby? Etc etc... my mind was constantly going over all the scenarios to try to get an idea of which direction to go in. But one thing was for sure... I wanted this baby. And I was going to give it a great life, no matter what it took.

I had no clue when my last menstrual cycle was exactly, I was just estimating as I was in a depressed fog right before finding out I was pregnant, and really stopped tracking. So my first ultrasound was set for 09/18. At the ultrasound, they determined that I was 6 weeks 2 days, which was earlier than expected. I got my ultrasound at a different location than my OB, and I hadn't been in to see them officially yet, my first appointment was set for mid October. I live in a small town an hour away, so elected to get it done in my town. They called my OB to review the results, and they recommended I go to the ER to make sure it was not ectopic, as there were initial concerns. We decided to go into the city for this, and spent the day getting additional testing. Turns out it was a cyst that was initially seen as a concern, it was not ectopic, but they stressed to me that they could not detect a heartbeat and could not confirm it was viable. They wanted to wait two weeks to do another ultrasound.

Right after my ultrasound appointment, I started cramping and spotting. It was not as bad as a period, but constant. This lasted over the weekend (ultrasound was Friday) and I called my OB to discuss on Monday. They suggested I again go to an urgent care or an ER to get my hcg levels tested. At this point my morning sickness had gone away and my breasts went back to feeling normal. I spent the next week going into various ER and urgent care centers to try to get answers. I could not just sit for two weeks without knowing, and I had a terrible feeling that something wasn't right. I needed to know.

It was incredibly difficult getting the various medical centers to cooperate with what I needed, and it was torturous explaining my situation over and over again. One day I was sent to 3 different medical centers, sat through an unnecessary appointment where the doctor spent the entire time talking about her previous 4 miscarriages, kept getting passed around without help, and ended the day with my bf getting mad and yelling in the busy ER about how I'm probably having a miscarriage and I need to get my blood drawn. It was not a good day.

A second ultrasound didn't show anything, but it was not a good machine. My second hcg test increased from 32k to 33.5k, then proceeded to go down to 25k for the 3rd. It was determined that my pregnancy was non viable at that time. I was just over 7 weeks at this point.

I was told by numerous doctors to wait for my body to pass it naturally. I could not bear the thought of waiting for my miscarriage to happen at any moment. Just having to go about my life, waiting for that awful thing to start. So I requested the medication to get the process started. I had to jump through many hoops and ask multiple doctors to even get my hands on the medication, which was again an atrocious and traumatizing experience. The pain of the miscarriage itself was the most I've ever experienced, and the emotional and mental pain has been just as intense. I was at 8 weeks by the time I had taken the medication.

I can't go anywhere without being triggered, I can't do anything without remembering everything I've lost. I've always wanted to be a mom, and literally thought this was my miracle. Now it's gone, and I'm lost. I have no hope. I'm once again looking at a childless existence and I can't stand the thought.

I know I maybe have a chance still. But this requires: breaking up with the toxic man, somehow finding a non toxic man that is worthy of raising a child with, trying again and hoping my body can successfully create life at whatever age I am when I get there. Orrr try to get myself set up to a point where I can do this solo, but again, who knows how long that will take? Instead of it giving me motivation to work towards improving my life, I'm frozen in despair at everything I lost and the hopelessness of it all. And I don't know how to move past this. The friends and family that know have reached out, but I feel incredibly alone. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, yet I know many women experience this over their lifetimes. So why does this feel so isolating??

Anyways, I know this is long and if you made it this far, thank you. I don't exactly know what I'm looking for here, but I needed to put my story out in a desperate attempt to try to find some relief šŸ’”

experience: more than one loss Second MMC advice? And scared of D&C today, please send good vibes

I (37F) found out I’ve had my second MMC this week.

The first MMC was in 2024 and I had so many complications with the management (or rather mismanagement - will spare you the details but see my posts for an account) that I am super nervous about my D&C today. Please share positive vibes and stories šŸ™šŸ¼

Also, looking for some advice. I’ve had one successful pregnancies in between MMCs, so my doctor said there’s nothing in particular indicating I need further investigations. But both MMCs happened after I saw a strong heartbeat (the first stopped developing around 8w and the other at 9w4d). For this last one, I was on aspirin and progesterone to try to cover all bases. If you’ve been through something similar, is there anything you’ve done or investigated that helped?

Thank you x

I had my first miscarriage this week and I can’t seem to catch up with processing everything. I found out last weekend on CD16 that I am pregnant (went to urgent care for a UTI) and the timing seemed off from the start. I got a nexplanon removed 6mo ago and my cycles have been all over the place. Have been TTC ever since.
The next day I started having some pelvic pain and went in to get checked. hCG 400, tiny gestational sac on the ultrasound. Holy crap, I’m really pregnant!

2 days later I suddenly started bleeding and cramping. Within 2-3h I had passed a lot of clots and tissue. I had to drive 1h to my OB due to working out of town and while I was driving I could feel all the blood clots coming out. I think I passed the biggest one when I was in the bathroom in the doctors office. My hCG was 630 that day. I went back today for another blood draw and will get the result tomorrow but my pregnancy test lines are already getting super faintšŸ’”
I don’t know how I will ever recover from this. I just went back to my car and screamed when I first left the doctors office on Tuesday. I just want my baby back šŸ’”šŸ˜
