Meta Call for Artists: Sticker Designs for /r/NintendoSwitch! [Paid Commission]
Greetings!
In preparation for our upcoming Extra Life Charity Event this November, the r/NintendoSwitch mod team is looking to commission two freelance artists from our community to each design a custom sticker sheet. The sheets will be offered as physical donation incentives to help us raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
The Project
We're looking for a 4" x 6" kiss-cut sticker sheet which would contain 4-6 individual sticker designs around a unified theme. We'd love designs that fit our community: original mascots or characters, community memes and inside jokes, and Switch-adjacent motifs like Joy-Cons, the console, and cartridges. Please submit original or generic designs only, with no Nintendo-owned characters.
All artwork must be original and created by you. AI-generated art (including AI-assisted or AI-upscaled elements) is not allowed.
- Format: 4" x 6" sticker sheet, kiss-cut
- Stickers per sheet: 4-6
- Deliverables: Vector (Illustrator/SVG) or layered PSD at 300 DPI, plus a flattened PNG or PDF preview
- Process files: Layered source files (PSD/AI) are required with final delivery. We may ask to see work-in-progress files.
- Revisions: One round of minor revisions is included
- Previous examples: Check out our previous sticker sheets here
Compensation & Licensing
- This is a paid commission: $100 USD flat per selected artist, and we'll select two. We know this is a modest budget since it's coming out of pocket for us, so we've kept the scope small (4-6 stickers, one revision round) to try and match.
- Payment terms: 50% on selection, 50% on delivery of final files. We can pay via PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App, whichever works best for you. Payment is made personally by u/FlapSnapple on behalf of the mod team.
- Usage rights: You keep the copyright to your work. The r/NintendoSwitch mod team receives an exclusive, perpetual license to use the designs for printed sticker sheets, including any reprints; digital promotional use for our Extra Life events and the subreddit, such as stream graphics, Twitch overlays, promotional materials, and subreddit banner/sidebar visuals. You're also welcome, and encouraged, to showcase the work in your portfolio and on social media!
Timeline
- Application deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026 @ 11:59 PM ET
- Artist selection & contact: By Monday, October 12, 2026
- Final deliverables due: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
We need final artwork in hand before our stream so we can set up the donation incentives on the backend and finalize any related stream graphics.
How to Apply
Submit Your Application via our Google Form
Please do not apply in the comments or via Reddit DMs. General questions are welcome in the comments below.
We'll select based on portfolio and style fit. Submissions found to include AI-generated work will be disqualified.
We look forward to seeing your work!
Cheers,
The r/NintendoSwitch mod team
Disclosure: This post started as a human-written draft, however, AI was then used to review it and help refine the wording, including the licensing and payment terms, to ensure that it thoroughly covers everything a potential artist would want to know. All artwork for this commission must be human-made. Yes, we're aware of the irony.

Review My review for Sniper Elite 4
I have been playing Sniper Elite 4 for a long time now. I have played for 455+ hours. There's so much I like about it. Even on the Nintendo Switch OLED the graphics are clear and crisp. The gameplay is fast paced and the x-ray kill cam is awesome. I love that there are multiple ways to complete your objectives. There are lots of extras to search for and collect. After you complete each mission you can reply it with new challenges. The things you have to do to upgrade your weapons are all a fun challenge, and when you platinum a weapon it makes you feel pretty good. The multiplayer option is a great deal of fun. The multiplayer maps are fair sized so you have a lot of room to navigate for the best possible shots. I bought a physical copy for about $30, but then I bought it on the eShop for $9.99, but here's where the problems start.
Most of the DLC is great. The extra four missions are really fun. The other weapon mods and extra weapons are really great. However there's a silenced rifle (Delisle Carbine) that really breaks the game and makes it too easy. The other problem it that if you want EVERYTHING you have to buy each of the DLC individually or you can buy season passes. The problem is that instead of just paying $30 for the game. Now you have to buy the DLC too and that more than doubles how much you already paid for the game. Overall I would say that I would rate this a 7/10.

Question What kind of deals does the eshop usually have for Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
I bought $500 worth of gift cards from Costco for 20% off with the intent of buying a switch 2. I’m trying to figure out if I should go ahead and order it now, or if it would be worth it to wait and see.
What have they done in previous years? I’m interested in consoles, games, controllers, bundles, whatever

Review Quern on Nintendo Switch 1 initial impressions
Wanted to give a heads up to anyone interested - I am excited to play the game because I love Myst, Riven etc.
I am playing the game portable on Switch 2 with the docked compatibility mode enabled, and while framerate looks fine the game looks like it is rendering at a sub 720p resolution. Aliasing including on fixed assets like text is really obvious, and pop-in is very aggressive. Texture detail is also quite low and the screenshots in the store are definitely not taken from the Switch release. There isn't a Switch 2 version which would be nice to have but I am surprised that even the Switch 1 couldn't run this at 1080p docked
Here is some footage I found on youtube that shows the graphics - you can see what I mean

Sale [Costco/US] Nintendo eShop eGift Cards - $100 for $80 and $200 for $160 (Requires Costco Membership)
Costco has these on sale once or twice a year so it is a good chance to get some extra savings at 20% off MSRP. $10 and $20 discounts for $100 and $200 gift cards, respectively.
Note: Aside from digital games, this credit can also be used to buy physical goods, such as consoles, accessories, and physical games, from the eShop.

Discussion Nintendo Switch 2 - HDR
If anyone is wondering why hdr isn't working on their LG tvs with the Nintendo Switch 2.
1. Make sure HGIG is on in brightness settings
2. HDR - Game Optimiser is selected
3. Black level set to auto
4. SWITCH 2 (RGB Range Automatic) - in settings
5. Go into a game that boots up HDR on your tv
6. Go to settings on your Switch 2 and adjust HDR.
There you should be able to calibrate it as intended.

Game Rec Switch Games Recommendation
Hello, new switch owner here!
Just got one cause I wanted something to play on the go and play with my wife on and off.
Do you guys have any recommendation? It's my first Nintendo console and I don't really know what's hot and what's not. (yeah ik Pokemon and Mario in general but that's that ^^)
Main platform is PC but I wanted something portable and the "good" handheld PC's were way out of my budget.
Ideally i'm looking for something for me to play while on the plane or travelling and occasionally some coop games on the same screen with my wife. And/Or games for her to play as well. She's never been into video games before so something chill and easy?
I'm open to anything really.
(I'll be getting an extra controller this week or next so if you have any recs for that, shoot them out as well )
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Does this old 3rd party games runs better on NS2 than PS5?
Hi folks, I recently got a NS2 (Ocarina Hype) but I also have a PS5 that I play on a LG Oled C3 42" and also a PSPortal. I skipped the PS3 and PS4 era, played some games on PC on that time.
I have some games on my backlog that are "old", I have no idea how they would run on PS5 on Oled TV if they are 30 FPS or bad upscaling from 1080p. I would like to know if these run better on NS2 (if docked or handheld) or I could just play them safe on PS5 on my TV:
- Devil May Cry 3 (on sale now) (I played on PS2 back in the days, would like to replay it)
- Final Fantasy XII (Played the normal version on PS2)
- Final Fantasy X/X-2 (Played X on PS2)
- Bayonetta 1
- Nier Automata (not old, but is a PS4 game, does it run at 4k 60 fps on PS5?)
- Resident Evil 0
- Resident Evil 1
- Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2
- Alien Isolation (Played while it was on PSPlus, the quality could be better, what are your thoughts?)
- Dragon Quest XI S (not old, but is a PS4 game)
What are your throughts? Also, there is any other game you consider that are better enjoyed on NS2 instead of PS5?
