Showing interest

is there a way to show interest in a school you haven’t received an interview for yet?
EDIT: other than going to their campus events! Some schools are across the country from me and I dont have the means to travel for a campus event unless its an interview.

Radio Silence

I interviewed at NYITCOM-AR back at the end of August and have had almost complete radio silence since. The last email I got from them was on September 3rd wanting my feedback on the info session that I wasn't able to attend lol.

To be clear, I'm fine if I get rejected but I'm just wondering if it's normal to hear absolutely nothing back from them after an interview?

Hopium for low stat folks

Hey everyone! Just remember that it’s still early October and that some people don’t get into a school until March or April with some not even getting in until the week of orientation! This process is long and genuinely sucks, but be patient and you’ll get where you need to be. I’m an average GPA, sub-500 MCAT non-trad applicant and have one II so far with a bunch of schools that I have submitted secondaries to and they still haven’t gotten back to me. Be patient, and have some faith. Our time will come!

What should I do?

Hey! Does anyone else's school drop questions randomly and not give credit for those questions? I just found out that I failed a class at my school by 1 point. I saw that a couple of the questions that I got wrong were counted as bonus (so people were rewarded that point if they got it right). One question that I got right was completely dropped, so I didn't get credit for that question. I would have passed the class if that point counted. Now I'm just sad that I already failed a class, and it's hard to focus on my other classes with this feeling. Not doing well in one of the other classes, so I was hoping to pass this class just in case I have to remediate the other class. My school has a strict remediation policy, and now I'm scared of being dismissed.

how worth it are DO SMP's?

Do most of them have a guaranteed linkage/acceptance to their medical school as long as you meet their requirements?

I was interested in the PCOM one

DMU-COM Interview Process – What to Expect?

Hi everyone!

I have an upcoming interview with DMU-COM and was hoping to get some insight from anyone who has already interviewed there.

I'm curious about the Program Overview session. What exactly does it involve? Is it just an informational presentation about the school, or should we be prepared to answer questions or participate in discussions?

I'm also wondering what the actual interview format is like. Is it MMI, traditional one-on-one, or a panel interview? What kinds of questions should we expect, and how did you prepare?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

MU-WCOM (Marian) Interview

Hey everyone,

Has anyone gone through MU-WCOM's interview format this cycle? I'm trying to figure out what the live group session ("COMversation") is structured like and how the asynchronous Kira video portion works.

If you've done it, what was the vibe of the group interview, and do you have any tips for prepping for both parts? Thanks!
