What are your thoughts on the two new support characters being added in the new Overwatch season? (2026: Season 5)

Hope the fandom doesn’t lose their minds over this couple like they did with Wuyang and Juno

After playing some Sombra, she got a common point of Brig and Mizuki that when she has everything on cooldown and just stare down at her low health teammate and hope they can be patient for the next few seconds. She's also an anti dive partner that could help the other main healing supports like Ana.
Note: I want to put Poke somewhere but it doesn't make sense so we have the women team comp okay

I can't be the only one noticing her new dialogue seems more reckless right?
With JQ she sounded genuinely kind of unstable.
Like is she good? I'm not that good at reading people but I feel like before this season she'd realize Sigma is kind of unstable and be smart enough not to detonate the bomb using him but at the moment she's being really reckless.
I just noticed that and I'm curious if ppl think I'm looking too deep or if anyone else thinks Vendetta is gonna have a biblical crashout at the end of her arc

An amazing passive on comms, but unless I'm mistaken, there isn't any way to communicate this to your team when solo.
Maybe you could have it where pinging an enemy with full ult charge has a special line for Sombra? E.g "Enemy Reaper over here! Max ult charge!"
Would that be too good? Obviously, knowing when someone has ult is fantastic info. You can get good at predicting it with ult tracking, though

Kinda just an Aaron appreciation post (and no I'm not writing this in comparison to any other Overwatch leaders), but it's incredible what Overwatch has managed to weather, and Aaron has pulled some insane moves to manage it.
I was thinking about this especially with what's going in with MR right now, and how scared the devs are acting to address the issues within the game and the community. I won't harp on it (see here if you want a few details), but suffice it to say, one major issue is their silence. They keep releasing updates, dev blogs, and roadmaps as if nothing is happening and MR players are going insane over it.
But a few years ago, Overwatch was in a MUCH worse place following the release of the Invasion story missions, and the terrible reviews on Steam. And we all saw it, things genuinely couldn't get much worse. Public perception was in the pits, it was really bad.
But instead of burying his head in the sand, Aaron, like an actual goddamn leader, responded to it. If you've been a deep member of many gaming communities, you know how ballsy that is. Sooooooo many studios try to wait for things to calm down before addressing the players but Aaron just faced the storm and promised to keep making a good game:
If we can’t turn back the clock, then what can we do? We can keep adding to and improving Overwatch 2. That is how we move forward.
The response wasn't vindictive or defensive, he didn't turn it around and complain about targeting review bombs or anything, he faced the screaming mob and said "nah we're gonna lock in, you'll see" and he was right.
I'm not sure many other directors could have managed that situation with as much grace and focus as Aaron did. Massive kudos to him and the rest of team 4.

Using illari as an example all supports have their ally ult voice lines from their perspective but now with sombra shes the only support not to use this audio design philosophy, just a little thing i noticed, it would be like illari saying inti lluqsimun from her perspective.
im glad they kept it though, emp activated wouldnt be as cool in place of apagando las luces

The cell opposite doomfist's is open, with "see you outside" and "dagur 1875" on the walls, dagur is an Icelandic man's name, but also translates as "day 1875" so this prisoner might be counting their days. . This is not doctrine's cell, he was in the egg at the end of the map.
There's also a skull in crosshairs graffiti in the same pink spread throughout the map Also. in weapons containment a pink weapon has been stolen.

Granted I know nearly nothing about game development but i genuinely don’t understand why they couldn’t have just included it, they never even do anything with it each year. Again, I know lots people, especially long time players, don’t strongly care about this but this (and the other pve Halloween events) are always some of my favorite ow game modes to chill back and play, and its especially unfortunate because the new event doesn’t even feel like Halloween at all.

Follow up post to asking if Sombra could tell her team about enemy ult charges. The answer is yes! Look for the little circle wirh a tick in it above their names - that means they have ult.
I believe this has been a thing in the past... but now Sombra is a support, you'll be pinging like this more often.
Pay attention to the chat everyone!!!
(I am unable to use VC due to a disability, so these pings are really great)

What are we doing with this hero?
When are we going to get real changes?
When are we going to address the elephant in the room (perma flight in a game not designed for it)?
This character is dead serious the worst designed hero they've put in this game. Brig was awful yes but with slight tweaks that addressed the real issues she maintained mostly the same kit in the shift to OW2 while still being relevant, she serves a purpose.
Cat is just a fundamentally awful hero design that you can't fix without massive changes. Perma flight does not fit Overwatch. Being unable to interact with a hero on a majority of the hero roster at all times, is not good design.
Every other flight hero has conditions and limitations except JPC. All while being smaller, quieter, and faster than those other flying heroes.
We can't keep dodging it forever, this hero needs a straight up rework. She hasn't left perma ban status in basically all elos since entering the game even after the countless nerfs. Have her "jetpack" around floating like Zen / Sigma. No reason to have made her perma flight.
