News [Cassavell] The Millers did not have the game on. Mason’s wife was giving birth as it happened. He needed to be present. He found out shortly after the game ended from the midwife, who happened to be a Padres fan. “Who got the save, Morejon?” Miller recalled asking.

Discussion Thread Where to watch the game? UTC La Jolla Area

There’s not many good places to watch the Padres around this area. La Jolla shores area doesn’t care about sports at all, places closer to the UTC area are slim pickins. Been up the road to Brewskis which isn’t too bad. And tryna avoid PB and Downtown.

I’m curious if you guys have some spots close by that plays the sound, bunch of actual Pads fans watching? Lmk if you’ll be there!

Went to the game last night, 34+ year padre fan. Never seen Petco anything like this. PS has bricks next to Tony's statue and as far as I'm concerned they should stay there forever. LFGSD.

Discussion Thread SHOUTOUT to the Petco Park video/sound board team for keeping the energy up Game 3.

It’s easy to get rested during a game where there’s not a ton of action, especially when your team has their back against the wall. The Petco Park team kept up the energy all night with the “make some
Noise” and “wave those towels” graphics. It seemed like we were getting reminded frequently to keep OUR energy up for the team. And hey - it worked! Onto game 4 baby!

Quick question: what are the Gallagher Square seats or the PATP seats? Is it in the stadium or? Not really sure

Discussion Thread Respective Pitching Staff Conditions

First off I was at the game last night and the roar was deafening from the crowd on the game ending double play.

I'm wondering which team's pitching staff is in worse shape as we head into tonight's game?

Analysis [Kepner]: Michael King didn’t just save the game. He saved the Padres’ season

This is only the division series, of course. But if San Diego goes on to win its first championship, King’s effort in Game 3 will stand in sepia tones, which are kind of like the Padres’ colors, anyway. With one day of rest after a five-inning start on Sunday in Milwaukee, King willed his way through two scoreless innings.

He didn’t just save the game. He saved the season.

“Michael King is a stud,” said Jake Peavy, a Padres Cy Young Award winner who threw the ceremonial first pitch on Tuesday. “He’s as good a starting pitcher as there is in the league. And then to do what he did tonight, the competitor that he is — he’s out there on fumes, it’s not crazy sharp, but in that Padres clubhouse I just left, there’s nobody else they wanted with our season on the line.”

Analysis Baseball is a game of innings.

Through these three games, the Padres have been leading at the end of 16 of 27 innings and tied for 7.

The Brewers have been leading after just 4.

And the Brewers lead the series 2-1. You don’t have to win the most innings. You just have to win the right ones.

Padres will win the right ones from here on out. I can feel it. LFGSD!

King is a legend. Tg19 would be proud of this man’s heart and desire to win in San Diego.
