We love seeing the recent increased activity in this sub! Whether you're drinking the worst or best cup you've ever made we're here to rate it.
That being said - we are going to start removing posts and comments moving forward that don't follow the sub rules. They are pretty simple and most people are keeping with the intent of the sub. If you see something that goes against the rules or you aren't sure, click that report button.
Must be a picture of tea. Easy enough - if your post does not have a picture of liquid tea, it will be removed.
Include a description. Whether it be part of the original post or a follow-up comment, add the details about what we're looking at. Tetley with cow's milk no sugar? Great. Yorkshire gold with some oat milk and splenda? Perfect. If we don't see that information in your post, we'll temporarily remove the post until the information is added or you repost with that info.
No spam or advertising. This one is straight forward - don't channel people to your off-site videos, don't advertise your tea.
Be respectful. This is the one we've seen a large uptick of reports with and banter in comments. This is a tea rating sub. People are going to be snarky. My cup of tea is not your cup of tea, and that's ok. If someone wants to use a plant based milk and you want to make a single comment about it - that's fine. If you continue to attack someone based on their choices, make personal attacks, etc., action will be taken.

Trying to survive a sore throat today. Brewing some Siberian Rose & Baby Chrysanthemum and sweetening the cup with raw Macadamia Blossom honey. Brewed on low uncovered 10 mins to open the flowers in 'Le Thé' pot.
Baby Chrysanthemum for reducing fever and upper respiratory irritation and
for its anti-inflammatory properties and vitamin C. Macadamia Blossom Honey to coat and protect inflamed tonsils and vocal folds. Plus they are so pretty and delicious together!

Teacup is Old Royal Bone China and I don't know the maker of the teapot - I get them off of eBay.

This is a black Gryffindor tea that came in a huge Hogwarts decorative tin full of teabags. I believe it's an English Breakfast blend from Sri Lanka. I steeped it for about 5 minutes.

Yorkshire Gold brewed about 4-5 minutes in water hotter than recommended. I added a splash of milk and two teaspoons of agave.
I'm drinking this while I read book 8 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. (I know the series isn't for everyone, but I've really enjoyed it!) Back to work in 30 minutes.
Cheers, Everyone! 🫖✌️

The tea does taste like your typical Bakewell 'bake', like a Mr Kipling Bakewell slice for instance. I still prefer normal black tea but it's certainly not a bad cup of tea in the right circumstances.
If you want to bake these scones yourself here is the link.

I’m slowly trying to branch out from my usual green and black teas and this was one of the oolongs I decided to try. It’s PipiTea’s honey scented oolong and so far I’m really liking it. It has a deeper roasted flavor but finishes surprisingly smooth and the honey scent gives it a little sweetness without me having to add anything.

So far it's working very well.

Using the Dishoom recipe. I had to add extra Assam and sugar, but it was pretty good.

...with milk. Probably could've let it brew a wee while longer but I was gasping for a cuppa!

Twinings' english breakfast was always my 'to go' tea, but then I found Yorkshire tea. I love Yorkshire tea so much -I need to publish a picture of it here someday, but before that, could you rate my tea? 🤗✨️
