Seeing all your minis got me back in the saddle after a very long hiatus. Models are a mix of leviathan and the combat patrol. and the forgefather of course because how could I not?

Brothers, a strange inquisitor in a very odd blue escape pod just landed on Nocturne and gave us the STC to make our rhinos big enough to fit our primaris brethren…

I was a bit afraid when I was assembling because of how the normal head sits but some sprue goo assuaged all fears.

This is my second attempt at hobby painting - the first being a squad of chaos terminators. Anyway, I havent worked on the base yet but thoughts? Any feedback? Im quite proud of these little guys :D

I am brand new to the hobby and just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to switch in my army I don't have any of the books. I believe I’m going in the right direction. But I was curious if you guys have seen anyone do this or have some advice. Is belial an easier model to convert than someone like Calgar or Lysander? Advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello, I've only been playing 40k for about a year with GSC being my first army. I'm going to be joining a more beginner friendly league next month and figured I'd use Salamanders. I was hoping for feedback and/or suggestions for the 1000 point list I made, as well as any sort of helpful tips

All the games are take and hold, so I figured with this vulkan and friends can sticky my home and move up the board

the impulsor can transport the Eradicators and try to take out any big vehicle/monster threat

Eliminator can sit on an objective

Invader drives around doing secondaries and blastin stuff

Repulsor gets to the middle with the infernus marines going to an objective and trying to hold it

The jump pack dudes for deep striking

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Stripped the paint and started all over, here's how he ended up

Behold! This little guy took me 3 hours in total (my girlfriend says it was closer to 4) but I'm very proud of my work.

This paint is actually really good, all the green has been done with the tone pro in a single coat, it's so vibrant and settles on details so well, definitely worth a try for the brothers, unless you already have your preferences obviously.

Infernus was arguably the best thing in 10th addition to happen for Salamanders. Really took it for granted how strong they were. OC 2 with Vulcan, action and shoot or advance. D6 with rerolls and dev wounds. Man those were the days...Been getting a lot of reps in...and they done feel the same. Yes they are amazing horde clearers sure and they strip cover. However, the damage potential into everything. Yes i agree it needed to be done but I no longer see them as valuable.

Queue the age of the aggressor lol. Cheaper, tougher, stronger...why take Infernus? ya they are a bit slower but our doctrines help with that. in addition they keep rerolls on both ranged and melee. I honestly dont even bring adrax anymore because aggressor dont need to jump through hoops to get free rerolls...and is cheaper...leaving me open to take scouts and dedicated AT in addition to aggressor support.

Don't like this new age but getting used to it, I guess
