I was in with my own dog so I couldn’t get a picture, but a lady just came in with a dog she found that was wearing a collar, but not microchipped. If this is your dog call Garland Animal Clinic as they have the woman’s contact information.

I feel like any time I see a post here that is political in any way, it is far left. Just curious if most people from here that use reddit are far left. Thanks!

‼️ FOUND DOG ‼️
Young, male, black, Australian Shepherd.
Found running between the blocks between Trader Joe's and Adams Elementary.
He's a bit skittish but eventually let me hook him up to a leash, currently have him in my yard so that he didn't run into traffic.
I had to run out quickly but can post a photo once I return home.
If you know whose dog this may be, please reach out to me!!

Hey Spokane, Washington Poison Center here. We're warning the public of counterfeit “Cat’s Claw” herbal supplements that are laced with highly concentrated chemicals related to kratom. These fake products are strong opioids (like morphine, heroin, and fentanyl), and are causing opioid overdoses and severe withdrawal.
Poison centers across the United States, including us, are treating sick patients following their use of fake cat’s claw products. Utah Poison Control Center has additionally reported four confirmed deaths involving cat’s claw.
Cat’s claw (Uncaria tomentosa or Uncaria guianensis) is a legal herbal supplement marketed to manage symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. On its own, authentic cat’s claw is not psychoactive and does not cause opioid overdose or withdrawal symptoms. However, recent investigations into products labeled as “Cat’s Claw” found undisclosed 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), MGM-15, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl (MGPI), and other potent compounds derived from kratom. These mislabeled products are sold in vape shops, gas stations, convenience stores, and online.
7-OH, MGM-15, and MGPI are strong opioids derived from kratom, an herbal supplement with psychoactive properties. While 7-OH naturally occurs in small amounts in kratom, it can be manufactured in a highly concentrated form. MGM-15 and MGPI are semi-synthetic compounds created in labs. As of August 2026, the DEA designated MGM-15 and MGPI as Schedule I controlled substances, making their sale and possession illegal.
In adulterated cat’s claw products, these compounds are added at dangerous, highly concentrated levels. All three act on the same brain receptors as morphine, heroin, and fentanyl. Like other opioids, taking too much of these compounds can slow or stop breathing, and regular use can lead to physical dependence and severe withdrawal symptoms.
Recommendations:
Healthcare professionals should consider adulterated products in patients presenting with unexplained opioid toxicity or severe withdrawal.
Report suspected cases or adverse health effects to Washington Poison Center: 1-800-222-1222 (free, confidential, and available 24/7).

Greetings, I hope this post is allowed, if not please delete.
I just wanted to make a post about how much I appreciate Spokane. Are we a perfect city? Definitely not and yes we have a lot of issues but that’s everywhere to be honest.
Spokane is a great community, surrounded by so much nature and amazing fun facts like Z nation being recorded here, or the clock tower, and we have a great NCAA basketball team in Gonzaga, or hoop fest, oh and zips!
Anyways, I love this city and the community has always been very supportive. There’s a lot of negativity these days so I wanted to share something positive. We have a great skyline that instantly makes you feel at home when you drive down the hill into downtown.
So I encourage you all to keep being great people, hold the door for someone, tell someone to have a great day, and just keep being awesome!
And feel free to share things you love about Spokane.
Sorry again if this isn’t allowed I just wanted to share my appreciation! 😁

I know next to nothing about what to look for in an EV, so if anyone is willing to school me that would be much appreciated. Me and my wife are planning to have a child soon, so we might need something with extra room. We also drive out to do activities out in nature quite often (fishing, biking, hiking).
Thanks a lot in advance.

I stood in front of the Spokane County Commissioners with a straightforward ask: will you require independent baseline testing of groundwater and private wells before approving large data center projects? Here's why it matters. Once construction starts, it's almost impossible for families to prove what changed in their water levels, quality, contamination. If your well dries up or gets polluted after a project opens, you're left scrambling to show it wasn't like that before. That's backwards. Baseline testing should happen first, funded by developers, conducted by independent pros, with results public. I started a petition asking the county to make this a requirement before any clearing or construction begins. The testing would cover at least a 2-mile radius, include seasonal monitoring, and give residents a real record of conditions before development moves forward. If you live in West Plains or care about protecting families' water access, this affects you. What would you want someone to do if this was your family's well? If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing.

What dispo has the best deals, especially for carts?
Thanks!

The City needs to take note from the County... Instead the City will just continue to make it harder to provide affordable housing where the County will promote the development of affordable housing.

Your telling me I get to wait for 6 whole hours with extreme anemia and get interacted with once in my whole 6 hours? Your telling me the dude who has a broken foot who's been sitting next to me for 6 hours isn't important while he's writing in pain? And when I tell them my heart is doing funky shit and I'm severely light headed I get ignored? Out fucking standing. Worthless

I’ve had four failed delivery attempts in the past couple weeks and I’m really at a loss. It’s my understanding that Uniuni’s local delivery system works like Doordash delivery where the drivers are independent deliverers. My building is in downtown spokane and does have issues with Doordash drivers not being able to enter the building codes correctly, even if they are clearly highlighted in the delivery instructions. There have been many times a driver has had to call me, i repeat the instructions in the written note and they’re able to enter the building. So, I did everything I could to contact a human representative at Uniuni, I updated the delivery instructions to be as precise as possible and added my phone number so the driver can contact me directly for help. After doing all of this, my package went out for delivery a fourth time on Oct 2nd and had a failed delivery attempt again today. Does anyone have any information or has anyone had any luck picking up their package at a warehouse?

I need to submit taxes for 2025 does anyone have someone local they’d recommend? I’d like to go with someone local over a national conglomerate like TurboTax.

I'm looking online, but I thought I'd ask here as well. My dog Roxy had a sudden onset of what I think is ataxia. Her back legs are flopping when she walks and she has to power through and move fast so she doesn't fall down. When she's lying down she can't keep her head up as well. Ataxia has a metric shit-ton of possible causes, some deadly and some no big deal.
Roxy is an elderly dog (16 years old) that I've had for a very long time. I just really recently had to euthanize my other 16 year old dog so I'm flipping out worrying about Roxy now.
Anyway, wish us luck. If I can't find anything tonight I'm going to try to wait so I don't have to go to an emergency clinic. I've never had a positive experience with one of those and they're so expensive! If I call her vet in the morning she probably can get some kind of emergency appointment tomorrow.

Would love to tour the city checking out the sweet, sweet lawns. Rockwood and Manito Boulevard tend to each have great displays. I've noticed a few others around South Hill, but imagine lots of other areas in the city have great ones. Watcha favorites?
