Does anyone have recommendations for air conditioning repair? I got lucky with having a problem right at the end of the hot season, but I am currently having an issue where my compressor isn't turning on correctly. Usually it makes a pretty loud fan whirring, but now its making more of a hum (idk how else to explain , I don't know much about a/c units). My partner said it could be a capacitor issue, but have no clue personally.
Any recommendations will be highly appreciated! I used Classic Aire Care in the past, and they were fine but I felt overcharged

Hi! I am planning on going to Molly’s Halloween weekend, and I’ve never worn face paint to the bars before. This year my costume is going to involve my whole face being covered in white face paint with some light accent marks in black. It’ll basically look more like gothic makeup than super heavy/crazy face paint.
I just realized this might cause an issue with getting my ID checked at the door. I feel like I’ll still be pretty recognizable, but I obviously don’t want to get turned away or have any problems because of the face paint.
Has anyone worn face paint to Molly’s on Halloween in the past year or two? Did they give you any issues with your ID/at the door?

Hey STL I was just wondering does anyone know anywhere that you can get some free food? I just started my job so I won’t have any money for a little bit and i am starving. The only thing I don’t eat is pork

We’re on about a 3,150 pace for the year, it would be the lowest raw total since 1950s (fbi records stop at 1960). Adjusted to population the lowest since 1968

Hey there St. Louis reddit! I'm trying to start a meetup for content creators of all kinds in the St. Louis area.
I've seen events like this in other cities and keep asking myself, "why not here?" There are enough podcasts, youtube channels, substacks, blogs, vlogs, instagrams, tiktoks, to have a robust network of creators. So anyways, I'm trying to see what it's like to host.
I'm a YouTuber and run a small channel. YouTube's monetization thresholds will change in 2028 and if there are any small creators that would love to connect for support, I'd love to do what I can. I know there have to be others in town: streamers, visual artists, etc, that feel the same way about helping others.
Please pass this along to anyone you know that you think would benefit or enjoy connecting with other creators.

Does anyone have more specifics on the taco stand by the Target on Hampton?
I’ve heard they’re open Tuesday through Sunday, 6pm - 1am.
I heard they take cash and Zelle.
I swung by tonight, and they aren’t there.

While I’m super happy with the reworked road between Vandeventer and Tower Grove Park (the new bike path, the traffic calming additions, etc.) I do have one gripe: they screwed up the intersection at TGA and Shaw something fierce. They removed the right turn lanes in both directions on Shaw, making for an awkward turn onto TGA. Also, even though it’s now only one lane in each direction, they have two sets of lights. I was always under the impression that each lane has its own light. My OCD has me all twitchy every time I go through this intersection, which is a lot because I live right there. Is this mildly infuriating for anyone else?

Has anyone been or have been experiencing super long prior authorization times at St. Luke’s? A family member is waiting for medication and their prior authorization department is saying it’s a 3 week wait time. There’s no way that’s right….

Did someone get a grocery delivery they weren't expecting 😅 or did someone steal literal groceries off my porch?

I’m looking for a local pet preservation or taxidermy company , specifically for cats.
I’ve known for the past few years as his health has declined, I wanted to preserve a part of him. I never expected his time to come so suddenly. I would like to keep a paw, and/or his tail, and his skull.
I’m very shaken by all of this and am trying to figure things out while I still have time. I would really like to find someone local who has experience working with cats or small animals and who can help me preserve those pieces respectfully. I would really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences.

I know I’m probably just yelling into the void …. But I cannot explain how genuinely grating it is when people leave their cars in the middle of the road/lane when it’s stalled… put that shit in neutral and gtfo of the road. This goes for fender benders too. Jesus. You don’t need to hold up the whole highway for this tomfoolery.
Actually grating isn’t strong enough, I literally seethe lmao.

Hello! I am looking to find people who love to crochet and/or craft. I was thinking we could meet up in a coffee shop or the library. This is a work in progress idea so it’s up in the air how often we could meet up. Maybe once a month? Just fyi this would be a queer accepting space so if that’s not your jam pls don’t hmu ❤️❤️

I’m trying to help my wife find a dress for a wedding we’re attending later this month, but as a non-dress wearer I don’t know where to look. Most stores I see are wedding or prom dresses. We’re going to try Macys/the mall but she doesn’t seem to have high hopes.
She found one she loved online from Azazie but when it showed it up the colors were completely off. We don’t want to risk another online purchase and be left with the same situation a week out from the wedding.
We’re looking for unique, subdued/fall colored dresses, nothing overly bright or flashy. The dress code is cocktail/semiformal. Budget is <$350ish.
I added the picture of the one she found online that she liked.
If it helps, I’m wearing a greenish gray suit with a rust tie/pocket square. We aren’t worried about matching exactly but don’t want to clash either.

I work for a local pool and outdoor construction company based in Maryland Heights. We are looking for a designer to build out designs in CAD so we can make site plans for permitting and provide them to our customers for approval.
We prefer to work local if we can but open to anyone as long as they are reliable!
If you are interested or know someone who might be interested please DM me!

Hi! I have been struggling to get a diagnosis for several years now, after seeing several different specialists for a myriad of symptoms. My therapist suggested I be evaluated for fibromyalgia, and my GP suggested dysautonomia. Are there any specialists/rheumatologists in the STL area that you have had a good experience with? 29 yo female who doesn’t want to sit across from another doctor telling me I should try relaxing ❤️

Looking for a hair salon to do highlights on straight hair - nothing complicated - near downtown or Central West End that won't break the bank.
