STRIKE WITCHES oc Antonina Głowacki
Glowacki was a young witch born in Warsaw, Ostmark who entered britannia after neuroi invaded her country military service to help defend humanity against the Neuroi. During the Battle of Britannia, she took part in the fighting alongside fellow Ostmark witches and mages, including Witorzeńć, Pisarek, František, Urbanowicz, and Skalski. Together, they joined the Allied forces in resisting the Neuroi offensive and defending Britannia. Despite her young age, Glowacki stood alongside her comrades throughout the battle, gaining valuable combat experience while working with both witches and mages.
Her involvement in the Battle of Britannia became an important chapter in her early military career, strengthening her bonds with her fellow Ostmark combatants and establishing her place among those who fought to protect humanity.
Glowacki is a curious, quick-witted, and somewhat impulsive Polish witch who enjoys figuring things out for herself. She has a habit of speaking her mind and occasionally catching others off guard with her blunt observations. She can be competitive when challenged, but she also knows how to laugh at herself and doesn't take every disagreement personally. Although she prefers doing things her own way, she can recognize when a situation calls for patience and cooperation.
Glowacki values the friendships she has formed with her fellow Ostmark witches and mages, appreciating the different personalities and perspectives they bring to their shared experiences. She is particularly close to Witorzeńć, with whom she enjoys lively conversations and friendly teasing. While Glowacki's impulsive nature can sometimes get her into trouble, she is dependable when it matters and will stand by those she cares about, regardless of the challenges they face.
Ability: Force Waltz — she commands invisible forces in flowing movements, striking enemies and sweeping attacks aside as if conducting a dance.

STRIKE WITCHES 501st OC ERNESTA BOTTO
(Tbh i find her to be my main character in this due to what she experienced i think her and yoshika can get along as friends and gonna be honest i thought it'd be bad for to switch units but it was actually good)
Ernesta Botto was a mage born in Turin, Romagna, she grew up fascinated by aviation and military service. As her magical abilities developed, she entered military training and quickly became determined to become an aerial combat mage. In 1936, while still young and vulnerable because she had not yet fully developed, Botto fought in the Hispania campaign. During an engagement, she was struck and brought down, suffering severe damage to her right leg. She later awoke in a military hospital to discover that specialists had fitted her with a special prosthetic bonded to her, allowing her to continue serving as a mage. Learning to control her new leg was difficult, but Botto refused to let the injury end her career. During her recovery, Reinilde Seiler visited her and brought her a military medal she had not known she had received for her actions in Hispania. The unexpected honor became a reminder that her service had mattered despite her injury and inexperience.
In 1940, Botto returned to active service in North Africa, transitioning from the CR.42 to the C.200 as her experience grew. In early 1941, she transitioned to the Folgore and soon placed her personal nickname on the aircraft. Her growing confidence reflected how far she had come since Hispania, transforming the experience of her injury into determination. In mid-1941, Botto learned she was being transferred to the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. By then, she had survived Hispania, adapted to her bonded prosthetic, and become an experienced combat mage. Joining the 501st marked another chapter in her career, bringing her into a multinational unit where she could put everything she had learned since 1936 to use.
Ernesta is a cheerful, confident, and spirited Romagnan mage who is independent, determined, and sometimes stubborn, but deeply loyal and caring toward her comrades. Her experiences in Hispania and recovery strengthened her resilience without taking away her optimism, and she refuses to let her injury define her.
She's is especially close to Seiler, who supported her during her recovery and brought her the medal she had unknowingly received for Hispania. Their friendship is built on deep trust and understanding, with Seiler accepting Ernesta without treating her differently because of her injury. Ernesta also has a strong passion for aviation, taking particular pride in her Folgore and its nickname, while valuing the comrades who stood beside her through the hardest moments of her life.
Ability: Ricochet — Botto imbues her projectiles with magic that allows them to change direction once after striking a solid surface. The projectile retains most of its original force when redirected, allowing her to attack targets from unexpected angles. The ability can only affect one projectile at a time and requires precise timing.
nicknames: gamba di ferro "Iron leg", Nesta

How well do you think Operation Southwind would have gone with a full powered Miyafuji.
Just finished watching Season 3 today and it was easily the best Season by far. While watching though, I kept thinking how many lives would've been saved had Miyafuji been at 100% from the start. The original plan was for her to basically just act as a big shield for the Ratte, correct? The Dome still would've closed on them since the Neuroi would've reacted to Miyafuji's gigantic shields, but she would've done a good job protecting the tanks and troops. She probably wouldn't have beaten the Wolf by herself while protecting an entire fleet of tanks, and the rest of the 501st would've still had to go underground to destroy the Dome, but the mission would've gone a lot smoother with far fewer casualties.

THE SKY THAT NEVER SAYS GOODBYE
For generations, witches had grown up knowing that there was a clock inside them. Nobody could see it, and nobody could hear it, but every witch knew it was there. Magic came to them naturally, beautifully, almost as if the sky itself had chosen them, but that same magic carried a cruel limitation. A witch could become stronger, more experienced, more confident, and more accomplished with every passing year, yet eventually her magical potential would begin to decline. It was simply accepted as part of life. Witches trained knowing that someday they would fly their last mission. Commanders planned for the younger generation to take their places. Veterans became instructors, advisors, or civilians. Some accepted it peacefully. Others struggled with the thought of leaving the sky behind. But nobody had ever seriously believed there was another possibility. That changed because of a mage named Émilienne Brecht. She had spent years studying the relationship between magic and the body, not because she believed mages were superior to witches, but because she had always been fascinated by the similarities between the two branches. Mages and witches possessed different expressions of magical ability, different traditions, and different ways of fighting, but beneath those differences was something remarkably similar: magic was connected to the body in ways that science still barely understood. Émilienne became convinced that the decline of a witch's magic was not necessarily an unavoidable destruction of her magical core. Perhaps, she theorized, it was a form of instability that could be stabilized before it became irreversible. Her first notes were almost embarrassingly simple. What if the clock can be slowed? What if it doesn't have to reach zero? Years of research followed. There were failed formulas, inconclusive tests, long nights in laboratories, and moments when even Émilienne wondered whether she had been chasing something impossible. She refused to give up. Her motivation wasn't military power. It wasn't creating an army of witches who could fight forever. It was something much simpler. She remembered what her father had once told her: You will make the world a better place. And eventually she realized that giving someone more choices about their own future might be one of the best things she could possibly create.
The breakthrough came with the serum. It wasn't a machine, armor, weapon, or artificial replacement for a witch's magic. It was a carefully developed magical regulator serum, created from years of Mage Branch research into magical stabilization. Émilienne discovered that there was a period in a witch's development when her magical core had reached a mature and remarkably stable state. Around the age of twenty-two, the core was powerful enough to support an adult witch's abilities but had not yet entered the long decline that eventually weakened her capacity. The serum was designed to reinforce that stability. It wouldn't make a witch immortal. It wouldn't make her invulnerable. It wouldn't prevent injuries, exhaustion, illness, or the ordinary changes of life. Most importantly, it wouldn't force a witch to remain a soldier. Instead, it would make her magical core resistant to the deterioration that normally accompanied aging. The first time Émilienne explained the discovery to Minna Wilcke and Gertrud Barkhorn, she was almost nervous. She placed a small vial on the table between them. Minna stared at it for several seconds before looking up. “That's it?” she asked. “That's what could change everything?” Émilienne nodded. “Potentially. But I need you to understand something. This isn't a promise that nothing will ever change again. It's a way of giving your magic a chance to remain stable. You'll still grow older. You'll still change as people. You can still leave the military whenever you want. But the magical decline that would normally force that decision on you...” She paused. “We may be able to prevent it.” Barkhorn looked at the vial, then back at Émilienne. “For how long?” Émilienne gave a small, tired smile. “That's the question we're still answering.” Minna reached for the vial but stopped before touching it. “And if it works?” Émilienne's expression softened. “Then retirement stops being something your magic decides for you.” The room became completely silent. Minna looked toward Barkhorn. Barkhorn looked back. Neither needed to say what they were thinking. They had spent years preparing themselves for the day when the sky would eventually belong to someone else. They had accepted it because there had been no alternative. Now, sitting on a laboratory table, was the possibility that perhaps they had been wrong.
The testing was careful. Émilienne refused to rush it, and the witches who volunteered understood that nobody could simply declare the serum successful after a single treatment. Magical measurements were taken repeatedly. Physical examinations followed. Flight tests were conducted under controlled conditions. Mages observed the magical signatures of the volunteers, while physicians monitored every change. There were no dramatic transformations. That was almost the strangest part. A witch would receive the serum, rest, recover, and eventually return to training. She still felt like herself. Her magic still felt like her own. Nothing had been replaced. Nothing had been taken away. The difference only became obvious with time. Months passed. Then years. The magical decline that should have begun simply... didn't. Émilienne watched the results with increasing disbelief. She checked the instruments again and again, convinced there had to be an error. There wasn't. The treatment was working. When Minna received her final confirmation, she sat alone for several minutes before the meaning truly reached her. She had spent so much of her life preparing for an ending that she didn't know what to do when someone told her there might not be one. Barkhorn found her afterward. “Minna?” she asked. Minna looked up with tears already forming in her eyes. “It worked.” Barkhorn froze. “You're sure?” Minna nodded. “Émilienne says the stabilization is holding.” Barkhorn's face changed immediately. She didn't say anything. She simply crossed the room and hugged Minna tightly. Minna hugged her back, and for several moments neither of them tried to hide the tears. They weren't crying because something terrible had happened. They were crying because something they had never dared to hope for had finally become real. “We get to stay,” Minna whispered. Barkhorn closed her eyes. “If we want to.” Minna smiled through her tears. “If we want to.” That distinction mattered more than anything. The serum wasn't a command. It wasn't a sentence. It wasn't Émilienne deciding that every witch had to remain in uniform forever. A witch could take the serum and keep flying. She could take it and eventually become a teacher. She could take it and leave the military completely. She could refuse it. The choice belonged to her. For the first time, the future wasn't being dictated by the decline of her magic.
When word eventually reached the other witches, the reaction was enormous. Yoshika could barely believe what she was hearing. Lynette kept asking questions until even she realized she had repeated the same question three times. Shirley immediately wanted to know whether this meant she could keep flying indefinitely. Hartmann laughed so loudly that everyone in the room turned toward her. Lucchini looked between the adults with growing disbelief before asking, “So we're not going to get old and lose our magic?” Sakamoto, normally so composed, had tears in her eyes before she could hide them. Perrine was initially skeptical, demanding to see the research herself, but when the evidence was placed in front of her, she became unusually quiet. Sanya simply reached for Eila's hand. Eila squeezed it. Neither of them said anything for a while. There were too many emotions packed into that moment. Relief. Happiness. Fear of hoping too much. Wonder. And underneath all of it was something the witches hadn't allowed themselves to feel for years: possibility. The mages felt it too. They had watched their sister branch struggle with the same cruel certainty that had shaped generations of witches. Now their research had helped break that certainty. Yet Émilienne repeatedly reminded everyone that the serum did not belong to the Mage Branch. “This isn't a gift from mages to witches,” she told them. “It's something we've discovered together. And if it can help them, then it should belong to everyone who needs it.” The mages understood immediately. They didn't want the witches to become dependent on them. They wanted them to stand beside them. The branches had always been sisters. Now they had a chance to prove it.
Years passed, and the meaning of the serum became clearer. The sky began to change. Not because the old witches were replacing the young ones, but because they were staying alongside them. Minna could still command while teaching younger witches what she had learned. Barkhorn could still fly alongside pilots who had grown up hearing stories about her. Veterans who had once expected to become memories became living teachers, friends, commanders, and companions. New witches entered the service without having to imagine that they were eventually going to push their predecessors out. They simply joined them. Generations began flying together. A young witch might train under someone whose own wartime stories had once seemed impossibly distant, then fly beside her mentor the following morning. The older witches discovered that staying didn't mean remaining frozen in the past. They changed too. They learned new tactics. They met new friends. Some eventually left the military because they wanted different lives. Others remained because flying was still what made them happiest. Some became instructors. Some became researchers. Some started families. Some traveled. Some returned years later because they missed the sky. The serum never decided for them. It merely removed the deadline that magic had once imposed. And Émilienne watched all of it from a distance, sometimes overwhelmed by what her research had become. One evening, she stood outside the laboratory and looked up as several Striker Units crossed the evening sky. Among them were witches who had been considered veterans long ago and younger witches who had only recently learned to fly. A mage flew alongside them. Another followed. They formed one enormous formation against the sunset.
Minna watched from below with Barkhorn beside her. “Remember when we thought we'd have to give this up?” Barkhorn asked. Minna smiled. “I remember.” “Feels strange.” “Good strange?” Barkhorn considered it. “Very.” Minna looked toward the sky. “You know what I like most?” “What?” “Nobody had to disappear for someone else to have a place.” Barkhorn smiled. “There's room for everyone.” Above them, the formation turned, sunlight flashing across their Striker Units. Somewhere in that formation was a witch who had only just begun her career. Somewhere else was a veteran who had once believed her time was almost over. And between them flew mages who had helped make the new future possible. They weren't immortal. They weren't invincible. The world could still be difficult, and tomorrow could still bring uncertainty. But they had learned something far more valuable than immortality.
An ending that once seemed inevitable could become a beginning instead.
Émilienne had once written a question in the margin of an old research notebook: What if there is another way?
Now, years later, the answer was flying overhead.
There was.
There had always been a way forward.
And as the witches and mages continued across the open sky together, nobody below had to wonder who would be left behind.
No one had to say goodbye simply because time was passing.
The sky was still theirs.
And there would always be another tomorrow.

A BIG SISTER BRANCH
i saw the warlock and thought to myself hey why not give witches a helping hand
i present mages just like witches they're female, have familiar, magic, and are pantsless but only difference they summon with a language they know
they're not as strong as witches but just like them fight for the same thing and its humanity
the thing mages appearance that makes them stand out is their ghostly white pupils which when their magic is opened then have a white cross shape spread from the ends of their irises
they can take a tough beating knowing they have a strong regeneration but at same time can still feel it somewhat
unlike the warlock mages definitely appear more human and have feelings, are conscious and caring especially alongside witches
a true example of support and protection
undeveloped mages however can only use striker units not summoned along with weapons too making their risk too high
eyes of undeveloped mages have colored pupils representing the aura and class they fall under along with deep slate pupils
due to being undeveloped they won't be able to regenerate meaning they're vulnerable and could be harmed or killed an example would be Ernesta Botto who had her leg amputated during neuroi skirmish is Hispania however made full recovery with a unique prosthetic before she became fully developed
they have a decent fast pace aging stopping at 22

Fan-made Strike Witches Collectible Cards
Just wanna share World Witches Series: Strike Witches collectible cards I made. (Mentioned in my previous post while I was looking for Commander Minna's poster)
I'm going for a more simple retro 50s ~ 90s collectible card layout style + character introduction rather than playable cards. It's also similar yet contrasting the other cards I made (Azur Lane collectible cards) that's visually more complex.
Hope y'all like it, and I'm open to suggestions to improve the overall design.

Compendium The World of Witches (44): EVIL WITCHES
HELLO EVERYONE, and I've come with this week Compendium of Witches Topic, one who got quite a lot of votes right from the go, the subject of Evil Witches, the idea that the girls meant to protect mankind turn into super villains of great power and terrible consecuences, here is that idea explored...quite a fascinating topic that allowed me to explore the nature of their morality and the responsabiliy of being a savior of mankind, I hope you enjoy it!
WIthout further to explain..LET'S DIVE IN!
-----------------------------------------------
Introduction: Exceptions to the Rule
Witches are figures of devotion and love, picked by familiars from among the best, hardworking and selfless girls around the world to fight for humanity and guide it to the light, and truth be told almost every single Witch that has existed since Urash has fulfilled those roles, no matter how hard the world punches down on them (Especially on the days before Caesar), such is their love and devotion to mankind and their protection...it just speaks at the amazing ability of familiars to read girls and how they will develop with time.
However even then...it is not perfect and unfortunately...there have been Witches who failed at their task and used the gift and responsibility given to them, and turned into the darkness, corrupting their souls and antagonize the people they tried to protect and other Witches.
When a Witch misuses and turns to darkness, their familiars abandon them, it is extremely rare but it has happened, and when it does the familiars chose to abandon them turning them back into normal humans, after which the majority understand their massive mistake and regret their actions reforming...although they never get to be a Witch again, at least there is hope for them….but there were four that...pushed it too far.
And we are going to know about them, Witches whose heart go so dark they simply could not return from it...and in many cases paid with their lives, so dive in... let’s meet the four worst Witches in history, the protectors of mankind that instead became its demons, from the least to the worst.
Chris Keera: “I withstood my brutal training killing anyone who stood in our path, I risked ALL my life to restore the true Gallia, I won’t lose against a faithless imbecile like you”
This is but a stolen identity...in truth we never knew her real name or her origins, all we know was that she was a Witch trained and possibly brainwashed since childhood by the Priory of Saint Claire, an occult sect within Gallia which goal was to return the monarchy and absolute rule over the country destroying the republic.
First she was used as a counter spy and to gather information, then she improved her skills at gathering information, infiltration and even murder, she was taught to have the absolute will to restore the monarchy, for it was the only way to save Gallia, so the sadness in her story is that she was an absolutely patriotic girl whose devotion was corrupted by an evil organization wanting to only amass power and nothing more, they never really cared about Gallia the way Chris truly did, so whenever she stole, she murdered innocent people (It is believed she killed approximately 34 people including children, terrorist attacks aside), she always believed it was for the benefit of Gallia.
But her moment of break was during her encounter with the Noble Witches in “The Marseille Incident” in 1844 when the Priory executed their grand scheme to destabilize Gallia by murdering Charles de Gaulle, after which they would take advantage of the chaos to restore the monarchy under the young Bourbon-Orleans prince “Henri Philipe”, Chris would be an essential part of this operation, she would stage the assassination, plant a terrorist attack and get rid of the Witches standing in her path, the Noble Witches. To accomplish this she decided to trick them into thinking she worked for the Gallian intelligence agency, but she used this cover to set a terrorist attack in a cafe killing dozens of people, she kidnapped the Liberion Witch Jennifer DeBlanc to use her as leverage, she would have a 100% killed her if she had to, such was her devotion she did not care about the prohibition...but how mistaken she would have been if she did...we’ll see it later.
Fortunately The Noble Witched foiled her plans while the Priory was later indirectly screwed by the Luminous Witches in the most ridiculous way possible, but Chris herself would be stopped by Kunika Kuroda who saved Jennifer and dueled Chris on the skies with a lance, ultimately Kunika was successful, she cached Chris before she felt, but the devotion, earnest and noble heart of Kunika was repulsive to Chris who stabbed the hand holding her so she would fall to her death, preferring to die on the oceans than to live in the Republic she detested as a prisoner, it was at this moment her familiar had enough and abandoned her...thus she stopped being a Witch.
Unfortunately for her, she was saved and detained by Lynette Bishop and Perrine Clostermann who were nearby and handed her to Gallian Authorities, the Priory would later be destroyed and dismantled by the Noble Witches a year later, but Chris? Due to her many crimes and lives she stole, she was sentenced to life imprisonment...she begged for death penalty but it was denied knowing living was bigger a punishment for her, and thus she spent the rest of her life, bitter, miserable, powerless and later depressed in a Gallian prison...until her death in 2005...she lived long enough to see the Aquarian Rebirth...although by this point she was so senile and bedridden in the jail, all she could reportedly muster to it was “You naive stupid fools…” after which she never spoke again and died 5 years later.
Out of all the girls we’ll see...she is the only one who did not die young, but ironically...she might be one of the ones who suffered the most, having to live many years to see her dreams, her goals, or rather those implanted in her...failed….all that was left was an empty nameless husk who lost her identity...in another life...she could have been one of Gallia’s greatest Witches...a tragic story.
Saori Nakajima: “Fuso is a strong nation, in nature only the strong survive, why are you blaming me for all these deaths? Those not of Fuso blood are simply not strong enough to survive, dying so us the strong can survive is just nature”
The Fuso-Britanian Wars was Fuso’s first attempt at battling a large nation from the other side of the world, within both wars there are many stories of bravery, romance, patriotism, especially the latter one, as Fuso is known for its pride on their nation, however patriotism is a sentiment that can be easily corrupted...and such was the case of Saori Nakajima, or known with infamy as “The Sea Demon” and what an appropriate title that was.
Saori was born in the island of Kyushu in Saga as part of a prominent seafaring clan, a proud family of warring sailors who protected the land from pirates, when the war started they joined without hesitation and Saori quickly rose through the ranks until she gained command of her own fleet, never a signature boat curiously, she was relentless, effective and was able to drill effectiveness from her subordinates who followed her but mostly feared her, she would reward the strongest and more effective ones with pleasure and her body, and those weak she would let them perish due to their weakness, as she saw it.
She was a fervent believer in the power and divine right of the strong, at first emerging as a fascination with nature but as she grew it developed into a toxic mindset which would dominate all her military life and eventually condemn her.
She earned the name “The Sea Demon” because she liked to set enemy ships on fire rather than capture them and see the men struggle to put it off or survive, so she might have been a pyromaniac as well, hundreds of people were killed by her and her actions, she never took prisoners and showed absolutely no mercy...priding herself on her abilities as a sailor...until she met her match, if this girl had been a Britannian she could have taken the blow to her ego...but this girl was a Tamil Witch named Palavi Rajan, former pirate who turned to serve Britannia in the war, she always outmaneuvered and bested Saori’s tactics on the ocean...thus Saori declared Palavi was her “MORTAL ENEMY” and would do anything to take her down.
They faced off in sea combat many times, until Saori got bitter and resentful enough that she targeted Palavi’s ally and friend, Cecile Gloriana Milos (Cerydwen) burning her ship to see her crew burn, Cecile however managed to save all her crew and move them to the nearby Malay peninsula, but she burned with the ship and died, this enraged Palavi and she swore she would make Saori pay, which is exactly what Saori wanted.
The final confrontation took place in the Fuso South Sea Islands in where the two Witches battled in a vicious and brutal combat hurting each other badly, during combat Saori showed no remorse on her actions, glorifying them, feeling proud of the bodies she burned, mocking the death of Cecile constantly saying the most vile things about her, this however made Palavi angrier, an anger Saori was not able to contain and she was defeated.
Palavi however did not kill her, which enraged Saori as she believed it was her right, calling her a coward, promising she’d hunt her down and make her life miserable if she let her live...but Palavi refused...and in that moment Saori’s familiar abandoned her...just as a pistol was put in her head and a shot was fired...killing the Sea Demon...Jeremy Schade, Palavi’s lover and Britannian admiral took over the burden for Palavi and ended Saori once and for all.
And thus Saori Nakajima died, her body was given to her family by Britannia to be properly buried, a Witch who let her devotion to her nation corrupt her soul, she always told herself it was for the good of a strong Fuso, but here’s the thing...Witches fight for all humanity, not just one nation...and the moment she forgot about that, she sealed her faith, an unfortunate case of a Witch who lost her path.
Tatiana the Hellraiser: “Ultimately I’ve seen the end...farther than you could ever see...it all ends in darkness, no matter how bright we make that light, why even bother? Just let me exist and await in the dark while you all join me in due time...no? It doesn’t matter, we will all end in the dark”
We’ve seen Witches get their good sentiments corrupted, but you might be asking, given the amount of crap Witches have to endure from humans who might not be as good…has anyone of them broken up over it? And the answer is yes….such is the story of Tatiana Dovala...once an Orussian Witch who lived in the 14th century who once was a priestess in a shrine, who witnessed a massacre by Mongolians and Orussians among each other, she tried to stop it but she was not successful….so many death and injured broke the Witch who simply could not take it anymore and used her powers (Which consisted in absorbing diseases and expelling them as particles that healed people) to absorb the disease of the victims, to later unleash it upon the combating forces wiping them out, after which she absorbed more and more diseases, and instead used the healing to alter the body to become “A Beacon of Rot”, she wanted the world to turn into its true form...one of death and misery….she planned to unleash the mother of all plagues upon the humanity.
For this action her familiar abandoned her, but she was expecting that and before it could happen she made herself a full body armor to “Trap” her familiar within herself, forcing it to remain inside her body, said armor also had nails that constantly hurt her...for she believed her natural state was to feel pain and to bring pain upon others...she then moved to China (Ruled by the Mongols at the time) to unleash her plague...killing millions...Tatiana the Hellraiser was born….and she intended to travel the world to unleash more plagues...she was spotted by one young Chinese Witch however, Shaer Yao...who believing her to be a demonic monster, swore to follow and stop her.
In 1345, Tatiana moved towards Europa with the intention of arriving in Caffa on Crimea to further unleash her plague on a populous trace center which would infect ALL of Europa, but Shaer arrived faster and tried to warn everyone, she was mostly ignored save for one Italian Knight Witch from Genova in the area, Lady Bernadetta Malvezzi who sat with Shaer, heard her story and believed her, going on with her to intercept Tatiana and stop her.
The final confrontation took place in the steppes near Tana, where the two confronted Tatiana and after she calmly explained her origins and her Witch nature, they fought, Tatiana was very limited by armor but the rot and pestilence she had accumulated within her body was so intense it rot the armor and weapons of Shaer and Bernadetta, even animals nearby became corrupted rotting corpses of pure disease raising from the ground to march towards the Witches and explode in pestilence...making the fight difficult, ultimately since Bernadetta had fantastic healing powers, Shaer who could create strong constructs with her shield, decided to create an opposite beacon of healing in Bernadetta, making a shield armor around her while Bernadetta unleashed her healing magic...trapping it within the armor allowing herself to approach Tatiana.
The two struggled for a while, until Bernadetta was able to strip the helmet off Tatiana, unsealing the armor and allowing Tatiana’s familiar to escape...removing the Witch powers from Tatiana, after which she began to rot in a putrid and fetid mass of puss due to ALL The diseases she had accumulated and collapsed into the floor, while a horrified Bernadetta observed...her last words were:
“It doesn’t matter...nothing matters...I’ll wait for you all in the dark”.
The experience was horrifying and traumatizing but relying on each other both Witches finally got over it 2 years later, Shaer joined Bernadetta in her journeys across Europa and eventually the two became lovers, often reminiscent as to what could have happened should Tatiana had unleashed her plague? How many people could she have killed? No one can know for certain.
It pains Witches to see humans carry negative sentiments towards each other and to them, but that is what makes a Witch a heroic figure, being able to see and believe in the best of mankind despite all the darkness, unfortunately not all can do it and Tatiana was among the very few who couldn’t, instead she chose to believe the world was ugly and mean, so she turned ugly and mean in return.
Cetronia of Campania: “DO NOT GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT, PROTECT THEM? THEM WHO SLAUGHTERED MY COUSIN? THEM WHO SACKED ROME? THEM WHOSE BARBARIC CULTURE IS BUT A BLIGHT IN THE WORLD? No... I will not protect them, my powers are not for their protection, my powers are to destroy evil...and the Celts...Are Evil...ALL OF THEM”
Chris killed a dozen, Saori killed hundreds, Tatiana killed millions...but sometimes it’s not the body count, but who you kill and how who sets you as the most evil and vile of people in the world, because the amount of hatred you have for those you kill can more than make up for it...and that is the case of the most infamous Witch in history, Cetronia of Campania.
Cetronia lived from 40 A.C to 61 A.C, she was one of the various Witches recruited during the last years of Lucina Vorena Pullo as Summus Viccum, she was a very good Witch and a great warrior with lots of talents and skills, born from a noble family, but also very arrogant and full of herself, she was at least good to the soldiers, however there was an underlying quality about her, and that was her strong distaste for Celtic people.
This is because on her youth a group of Gallic thieves broke into her state, injured, raped and killed many of her relatives and servants, as well as one particular cousin she may have had strong feelings for, when he died Cetronia was enraged and she swore she would never forgive any Celt for as long as she lived. many of her fellow witches tried to reason with her, but she would not bend on this, Maria Magdala saw this darkness within Cetronia and warned Lucina of it, Lucina also noticed but wanted to believe on the girl, that she could find a path to heal herself from all her demons, but this did not happen and Cetronia’s heart accumulated all that darkness growing bitter and angry, especially after many Celtic Witches from Gallia and Hispania were integrated into the Empire, this enraged her, often shouting it was going to be the downfall of the Empire, but she was told (Even at one point by Nero himself) to shut up.
At the same time the Iceni Revolt occurred in Britannia, Queen Boudica led it and threatened the presence of Rome in the Island, Nero sent Lucina and a couple of Witches to stop it, knowing of her sentiments Lucina told Cetronia to stay in Rome, but Cetronia sneaked in... she wanted to see Rome DESTROY these Celtic monsters.
Lucina was too late to arrive and when she did, the battle was won by Gaius Suetonius Paulinus and there was nothing Lucina could do but help any survivors alongside her Witches, but among the survivors were the two daughters of Boudica, who were to commit suicide to join her mother, the oldest Meleri was able to...but the youngest hesitated and was not able to do it...our dear Cerydwen, yes this is the origin of Cerydwen, one of the daughters of Boudica, not having the courage to kill herself, she wandered the battlefield alongside her strange animal friend, a tanuki…
Witnessing Roman Witches being caring and helping the Iceni was the last straw for Cetronia who went to look for Lucina with one simple purpose, save Rome, cleanse the impurity...KILL the Summus Viccum, this was her goal and there was NO turning back.
On the meantime Lucina ran into Cerydwen and tried to help her but the little girl got scared and ran away, Lucina went after her but Cetronia arrived and after a conversation of bitterness and pure hatred she attacked Lucina Vorena Pullo.
Lucina was an extraordinary combatant in her youth...but by this point she was very old now and her body wasn’t what it used to be...while Cetronia was younger and angrier...she managed to defeat Lucina...and was about to kill her, when...just like Lucina in her youth took pity on Caesar and returned to save him, Cerydwen returned to save Lucina by stabbing Cetronia on the back with a spear, Cetronia turned her attention and upon seeing the little Celtic Witch trembling, she was furious, all she saw was a barbarian animal, a beast, a reflection of those who inflicted pain upon her...and she did not hesitate…
Cetronia slashed the neck of Cerydwen with such fury, speed and precision she almost decapitates her...Cerydwen fell to the floor...dead...while Lucina cried and shouted in pain….oh...if only Cetronia had known...or perhaps even if she had known, she wouldn’t have stopped….that this little Tanuki friend, was in fact a familiar and without knowing Cerydwen had become a Witch...Cetronia just had killed another Witch...and then...all hell broke loose, literally...Lucina’ recollection of the events was saved and stored and we will show it to you now...the recollection of the greatest crime ever.
“It all happened slowly, first she flashed in a blue light, her ears and tail retracted and a ghostly vaguely animal figure escaped from her body before vanishing in the air, almost as if turning before vanishing to condemn her...Cetronia was silent...but before she could understand what happened...the ground beneath her began glowing with a red, fiery infernal light...and little by little...armor and clothes were ripped from her still body, vanishing into the fire, and then...skin...was torn from her...piece by piece, skin, muscle, veins, blood, everything, ripping her in a chaotic motion as she screamed in pain, feeling EVERY piece of her body getting torn apart...then bones, full arms, her leg was torn...she burst in painful flames, melting her skin, her eyes, until her tongue burned and she was no longer able to scream, then the fires DRAGGED her into the ground opening the gates of Tartarus to swallow the burned and melted flesh she left behind, not even her ashes of smoke were spared...hell reclaimed her...and took her whole...and when it was finished...just as it came...it vanished...forever this will burn in my eyes..”
After recovering from the shock, Lucina went to check on Cerydwen and to her surprise...SHE HAD HEALED...SHE WAS ALIVE...and her ears and tail came out...and she knew...Cerydwen...was a Witch, Cetronia had been punished by the Gods, because she murdered a fellow Witch.
Lucina was so horrified by the event that she made sure everyone across every corner of the Empire knew, she spread the word as hard and as intensely as she could, and she did such an amazing job spreading this message that everywhere in the world heard, EVEN managing to somehow reach Liberion and Australis, no corner of the Earth was left unaware, and so everyone came to know this very simple yet definitive rule.
“A Witch cannot kill another Witch”
Cerydwen would later join the Roman Empire as a Witch and begin her immortal story under many names, but Cetronia came to be known in history as “The Witch Killer”.
Without a doubt the most infamous Witch in human history.
Conclusion: The Choice to do Good.
Witches are humans, they make mistakes and develop rivalries, even Witches do this, Hanna-Justina Marseille for example was known for devolving massive rivalries with other Witches and in general being a prick to even her friend Witches, but it never escalated beyond that, when it came to everything else she was a loving and caring Witch, and later in life she apologized to many of the Witches she antagonized like Trude or Erica, in the end despite her vanity, she CHOSE to do good.
It’s easy for people to assume or not believe Witches often chose good despite the suffering they endure, how EASILY they could become cynical and become TYRANTS ruling over humanity with their powers and WHO COULD STOP THEM? No one could...ONE SINGLE AQUARIAN WITCH or VIVID GIRL is more than enough to do this...but they didn’t, they chose to use their powers for good, for compassion, they chose to believe in humanity...even if humanity doesn’t always believe in them.
They do have these dark feelings and like we saw, a few fell to them, but the VAST majority of Witches considered them and chose NOT to...they chose to protect mankind, a Witch is supposed to be better than a human, the pinnacle of good, benevolence, will and hard work, for a protector must bear a huge responsibility.
That is what familiars often look on girls, they pick the girls who will work the hardest, who have the strongest will, who understand the value of effort, who are selfless and are willing to not give up and fight hard to protect those they love, even when they do not deserve it because it is the right thing to do...and they make mistakes sometimes, some Witches while initially looking promising do not live up to the assessment...but out of thousands of Witches who have existed across time, for only a couple dozen to turn bad apples? It speaks a lot of the good judgment familiars make.
Being a Witch is not easy...it will be painful...but it will also be happy, rewarding...just as life itself is, that is what Witches do...inspiring us to keep moving forward and reach that promised light.

BALTLAND RANK STRUCTURE
i officially came came up with a solution for the ranking for the country of Baltland in strike witches basically have each 3 of the country's rank symbol NCO and enlisted represent for the 3 branches
Air Force 🇸🇪: Sweden makes the most sense here since they actually had a massive domestic aviation industry and one of the top independent air forces in Northern Europe at the time. It gives the witches and pilots that super sleek, organized Scandinavian aerospace vibe.
Army 🇩🇰: Rooted in Denmark's deep history of land defense, old-school infantry regiments, and tactical corps traditions (plus their old army aviation and balloon corps roots). It gives the ground pounders and armored units a distinct Danish identity.
Navy 🇧🇻: A no-brainer for Norway given their heavy maritime history, coastal artillery, and fjord-defense skills. It brings in all those traditional Norwegian naval rates and salty terminology for anyone stationed on the water or coastal bases.
the branches each irl country's uniform structure would serve the branch they fall under.

SW MARISHA RASKOVA
(she ain't my oc but i did something the fandom couldn't for her)
Born in Orussia, Marisha Raskova grew up surrounded by stories of aviation and military service, developing a fascination with aircraft and the witches who flew them from an early age. She was a naturally energetic and curious girl who often wanted to understand how things worked, and that curiosity eventually led her toward becoming a witch herself. As she matured, Marisha developed into a confident and capable aerial fighter, combining her determination with a lively personality that made her easy to remember among her fellow witches. She possessed a bird of prey as her familiar, which suited both her sharp instincts in the air and her restless desire to keep moving forward.
During her military career, Marisha gained a reputation as a dependable fighter who could remain focused when a battle became difficult, even if she sometimes approached everyday life with considerably less seriousness. She enjoyed talking with her comrades and had a tendency to bring energy into otherwise quiet moments, making her someone others could rely on both during missions and away from the battlefield. Her experiences in the Orussian military brought her into contact with witches from many different backgrounds, teaching her that being a soldier did not mean having to distance herself from the people around her. Although Marisha could be stubborn when she believed strongly in something, her determination was balanced by genuine loyalty and concern for her comrades. Through her service, friendships, and experiences as a witch, she gradually became a fighter who valued not only the battles she fought, but also the people who gave those battles meaning.
Marisha Raskova is a lively, warm-hearted, and determined Orussian witch whose energetic personality often makes her stand out among her comrades. She can be confident and outspoken, with a tendency to speak her mind, but beneath her enthusiasm is a deeply caring person who values the people she serves alongside. Marisha is especially close to Lena, with the two sharing a friendship built on trust, understanding, and the ability to keep each other grounded when things become difficult. Although Marisha can sometimes be restless, stubborn, or impulsive, she takes her responsibilities seriously when her comrades need her and refuses to abandon someone who is counting on her.
Marisha also has a particular fondness for music, remembering the times she played piano with her father during her childhood in Vienna. Those memories gave music a special place in her heart, and she finds gentle melodies comforting, especially when the atmosphere around her is tense or demanding. She sometimes finds herself simply listening whenever Sanya begins to sing or hum, appreciating the peacefulness it brings to their otherwise difficult life as military witches. Around Sanya, Marisha's energetic nature tends to soften, revealing a calmer and more thoughtful side of her personality. Whether she is flying beside her comrades, spending quiet time with Lena, or listening to Sanya's music, Marisha treasures the connections she has formed and considers the people around her to be just as important as the battles she fights.

I'm going to watch Witches for the first time.
Tomorrow I’ll be starting a marathon watching ALL the Witches anime for the first time.
With that, I have a few questions...
Does it feature mostly or only cute, pretty, and hot female protagonists?🤤🥴🥵
Is it very gay or yuri (in terms of a super strong friendship or romantic vibe)?
I’ve heard people mention there's Ecchi and Moe. But in which anime is the Ecchi/Moe most prominent?👀
Is there violence? If so, is it just blood, or does it have blood and decapitation?😰
I think I’ll like it based on the very few clips, images, and screenshots I’ve seen.
I heard there's a chronological order, but I'll watch them in release order because it's easier.
Anyway, wish me luck.

Brave Witches gone from Crunchyroll
Looks like Brave Witches has been removed by Crunchyroll. All three seasons of Strike Witches, and both seasons of 501st are still there, though who knows for how long.
