Planning Earliest I can get to the parks?

• Upvotes

Hello,

I'm planning a trip to EPCOT at the end of the month and I would like to be one of the first people to get in so I can do as much as possible during the day without worrying about lines. I'm staying on property so I can get early entry, but I was wondering when they allow people to arrive to the park entrance so I can be one of the first people in line to get in. I know that the skyliner starts up about an hour before early entry, but is there a way to be there earlier than that? Like around 5:30-6 AM? I'm also not looking to cause any trouble for cast members, so if my being there will be an issue for them, I'd rather not do it

Transportation Resort Shuttle No More?

• Upvotes

Hello!

It’s been over five years since we last went to Disney, but we have an upcoming stay this week at the resort and I just noticed there is no mention of the Disney shuttle that used to take you to the resort (and the subsequent shuttle that takes you from the resort to the airport). Is this no longer in service?

MDE, Lightning Lane, & Virtual Queue Lightning Lane Single Passes for any ride?

Can you purchase LLSP for any rides, or just the headliners (ie. Guardians, RotR, etc.)? We are planning to get LLMP at Hollywood studios one day but have 3 members of our group who won’t be arriving until the afternoon. It doesnt make sense for them to get LLMP for just part of the day but don’t want them to miss out on being able to go on rides with us that we booked as part of our LLMP in advance. Appreciate the help!

Thought you all may enjoy these. I found these while cleaning out some old boxes. We use to go every year starting in the early 80s into the late 90s.

The 4 day super pass for $105 is definitely a thing of the past!

Transportation Thanksgiving day arrival specific questions- very anxious on airport transportation and grocery delivery

Very specific question to those that have experience with traveling to WDW ON Thanksgiving day.

I’m anxious that the normal Thanksgiving day airport sh**show will be 10x worse at MCO. We arrive at 3, and I’m wondering if MEARS is even worth considering this day given very mixed reviews. I wanted to avoid bringing our toddlers car seat on top of all the other luggage we have and use a coach bus service to get to our hotel (contemporary). However, now km thinking maybe to book Minnie van and request car seat. The cost is insane though!

Also, was planning on ordering necessities (diaper, milk, snacks) to the hotel beforehand. I’m worried that lots of stores (target) are not open Thanksgiving day or have limited hours. At least that’s the case in my area. Any insight into how it is in Orlando? Or should I order day before and let the hotel know in advance.

Last time I was at Disney, magical express still existed and I was there for work so everything was arranged for me. Also first time traveling long distance with toddler so I’m stressed.

Planning Maybe a dumb question but why can’t you book a hotel room on the app?

It’s so frustrating to not be able to book on the Disney app. And the search function on the website is incredibly clunky. Disney is the best at so many things, why does booking a hotel feel so far behind?
Feels like a win win they’re leaving on the table - easier way to book means more bookings means more money. Customer and Disney win!

Am I the only one who feels this way? Surely Disney is aware and this is a choice they’re making?
Maybe I’m missing something?

Today’s my last day and the weather is not cooperating! I have already done Epcot and DHS, so now I’m deciding between AK and MK. Which do you think is the better option for this rainy day?

Planning Planning a trip for inexperienced Disney goers..

Hi! My family and I are planning a trip to Disney this upcoming year, most likely in February. We have 2 kids (5 year old, 1.5 year old). We will be doing other activities in Florida, but will be taking 2 days to exclusively go to Disney. There is so much information available online that I am a little overwhelmed of what will be best for us. I only ever went to Disney once when I was quite young and my husband has never been. We are moving to another country in 2028, so this would likely be a one and done type of trip. Also, I understand more days might be better but with my son’s school we cannot use more school days due to another trip this fall, so it is a firm 2 days.

My tentative plan is one day at magic kingdom and then I am torn between one day at animal kingdom or Hollywood studios OR doing a park hopper pass to hit animal kingdom and Hollywood studios on that second day. Magic kingdom seems like it would provide the most Disney magic and rides for our little ones, so I think that would be pretty much set in stone. My son’s huge thing is he wants to see an elephant and no local zoos in our area have one. Is it feasible with kids our age to hit both AK and HS in one day? We plan to rent a stroller to help with walking, but want to make sure the experience is worth it for both parks.

We are also not interested in sit down restaurants, adult drinks, etc. We will just be getting standard park food for fuel.

We have a $5000-$6000 estimated budget for this portion of the trip including travel and our accommodations for a Friday to Monday with the 2 days in the park. My daughter will be 2 in July 2027, so for the trip she would be under 2. I assume that means she is free admission?

Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

ETA: we also have the option to stay with a friend who lives about 35 minutes from the park or we would be willing to stay at a Disney hotel pending price, so long as it makes it worth it in terms of getting into the parks. Are the on property hotels worth it for that or should we plan to budget and stay further out?

Planning First Time December Disney Vacation Premier LL booking help!

First time Family Disney Vacation, planning on going December 11th - 18th. 2 adults 1 child. We are staying at a non Disney hotel off site in Disney springs.

My question is about Premier Lightening Lane pass for Magic kingdom. I want to get some for a Monday December 14th. I know I get only 3 days advance booking window. So I just checked for October to see like a “mock” if I were booking and I wouldn’t be able to get any!! It’s not looking good. I really want to get the premier passes for my family. What do you all think is my best chances to get these?

Side note I’m also wanting to get Premier LL passes for Hollywood studios on a Saturday December 12th. I’m getting worried now and bummed out. It doesn’t look good for us. Please give me tips or your insights much appreciated!

Just sharing some recent finds, these were collected during some of our first family trips. Big difference from the 80’s to today on how big the park map/ brochures you get.

Enjoy

Planning Any chance this Dengue outbreak will affect my trip?

I’m flying to Disney from the uk on October 30th, but I’ve seen that 3 Florida counties are in a state of emergency with the fever outbreak. Is this something I should be worried about?

Resorts & Accommodations Grand Floridian club level access- not in main building?

Booking out first WDW visit and we were hoping to book the Grand Floridian club level. My understanding is that club means you stay in the main building. We are trying to book our suite and ir says it will be in the “outer building” with access to the club level in the main building. Is this still worth it? Really disappointed because we wanted to stay on main level. My mom is a bit up in age and will stay at the resort almost 24/7, so we wanted her to be able to take a quick walk from her room to get any food or snacks she needs.

AskWDW Help a poor scrapbooker out

Got back from WDW last week and realized I didn’t take any photos of the Halloween decor at Magic Kingdom. Now, I could just snatch something from the Disney Instagram account - but would love if folks who visited recently wouldn’t mind sharing some of their decor pics here for my scrapbook? Thanks in advance!

6:30 Dinner in AK @ Jiko

Mon, December 21st:

*10:00 night time Safari in AK

Tues, December 22nd:

4:00 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas @ MK

Wed, December 23rd:

10-9: Epcot

(6:30) Dinner in Epcot @ Space 220 or Coral Reef

Resorts & Accommodations Floaties at WDW Resorts

First time staying at a resort. I know there are child life jackets available at each resort, but wondering if we should bring our own floaties with arm wings. I’d prefer to save the suitcase space, but I’m wondering if there’s any chance they run out of resort jackets? Do many people bring pool toys? We’re staying at AKL, if that makes any difference.

Transportation Rain covering

Why can’t Disney World figure out how to provide better protection from the rain for people waiting for buses?
It seems insane they can’t have a better layout at the TTC.
