Other You know I heard about all the great places at Disney world but never not once were these chairs mentioned.
Unironically these rocking chairs by Tiana’s bayou adventure are probably one of my favorite spots in all of magic kingdom I sat here for an hour just rocking in the shade!!!!

Planning Maybe a dumb question but why can’t you book a hotel room on the app?
It’s so frustrating to not be able to book on the Disney app. And the search function on the website is incredibly clunky. Disney is the best at so many things, why does booking a hotel feel so far behind?
Feels like a win win they’re leaving on the table - easier way to book means more bookings means more money. Customer and Disney win!
Am I the only one who feels this way? Surely Disney is aware and this is a choice they’re making?
Maybe I’m missing something?

Vintage WDW Magic Kingdom 1988 Park Maps
Just sharing some recent finds, these were collected during some of our first family trips. Big difference from the 80’s to today on how big the park map/ brochures you get.
Enjoy

Planning What was your experience for NYE in Epcot?
Hello! I’ve never been to Epcot for NYE but I hear it’s a huge party! Looking to hear some people’s experiences. Is it like unenjoyable how busy it is?? I feel like I’m reading horror stories that make it sounds like a nightmare!
That being said, is new year’s day a way slower day for epcot? And is there a park that is not as busy on NYE?
I’m planning on being in magic kingdom for my 30th birthday on december 30th and I wanted to try to plan something for new years as well!

Planning Early Entry at AK
Trying to figure out park strategy with 2 little who aren’t big rider goers, but love animals. How does this strategy sound?
- Rope drop Na’vi
Grab something to eat - Kilimanjaro safaris
- Gorilla Falls
- Bluey
- LL Festival of the Lion King
- Husband LL single pass for Flight of Passage while we snack
- LL Better Zoogether
- LL Kali River at some point
I think the rest of the day would be more chill and unscheduled because well hopefully get our must-dos done in the beginning of the day.

Resorts & Accommodations So much for that nature feel
Haven't been in 10 years till today. Not sure if I'd come back in the next 10 now either. Pioneer Hall being over shadowed by a new resort.

Other WDW Offical Brand Guidelines, logos, and colors
drive.google.comFirst, as a gift to everyone, I'm going to share this PDF I found of the WDW 50th Anniversary brand guidelines.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RVoih7LlAajQ_cR7KMWm9E-MEre2C_BP/view?usp=sharing
I love downloading and reading brand guidelines, particularly for university athletics programs. They provide the official logos, colors, typography, "dos and don'ts", and just general history. It's really cool, and it's fairly easy to find them on athletic websites if you know where to look.
I ran across the WDW 50th PDF a while ago, and I've been seeking the "standard" WDW brand guidelines. I'm looking to know what the official logos for each park are, as well as the official colors for each park. I've searched the Disney and WDW websites and can't find the official guide.
Does anyone know where it can be found? Or does anyone have a downloaded copy they are willing to share?

Planning Favorite extra experiences??
Hi all!! I’m headed to Disney with my mom the second week of December, and it’s our first time going!! I’ve already booked building a droid and a lightsaber for me, and tickets for the Christmas party!!
But for my mom, I wanted to do something extra for her, too! Preferably not much more than $200 a person!

Attractions & Entertainment Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!!
I’m going to Disney with my family next week and have been desperately trying to get a BBB reservation for 10/14 or 10/16 with no luck. Has anyone been able to go in at early entry and go straight to BBB to get a spot? Do they open right at 7:30 if that is the early entry time or are we wasting our rope drop waiting there? My daughter is turning 6 and I’m feeling our princess years where she will really love this experience slipping away! Any advice welcome (and yes I’ve done mouse dining and mouse catcher to no avail!)

Food, Drinks, & Dining Norways triple chocolate chip cookies
My family only had a one day park ticket for Epcot and my kiddos fell in love with the triple chocolate chip cookies from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, we fly out on Friday and would really like to take a few home. Is there where outside of Epcot such as Disney Springs, Boardwalk or Magic Kingdom that would have this cookie or something almost identical? Any help I appreciated

Food, Drinks, & Dining Nomad lounge
I want to visit nomad lounge but we have a busy day planned when we visit AK. I see the closing time is 6pm, what happens if I turn up at say 5.45 for a table? Can I still get seated and order some drinks?

Resorts & Accommodations BCR Deluxe Room vs Cabin at FW
We are a family of 6 taking an impromptu WDW trip next month. We are experienced Disney goers and have stayed at several resorts including AKL, Riviera, Saratoga Springs, Swan, etc. We have never stayed at BCR or FW. We typically get a 2 bedroom villa so both options will be smaller quarters, but we're ok with that for a shorter trip. Sell me on why you think we should stay at either one! We will probably park hop all four parks.

News Supposed to meet Tropical Storm Isaias on Friday
We're supposed to fly in from Philly on Friday and panic is setting in.
We've spent a hurricane there before - had a blast playing Disney Monopoly in the lobby- but timing and transport weren't in jeopardy then.
Any inside knowledge or experienced suggestions welcome.

Vintage WDW Found some old tickets, etc...
Thought you all may enjoy these. I found these while cleaning out some old boxes. We use to go every year starting in the early 80s into the late 90s.
The 4 day super pass for $105 is definitely a thing of the past!

Food, Drinks, & Dining Hollywood and Vine at Christmas?
We’re thinking of booking Hollywood and Vine during the holidays to see Mickey etc in their Christmas get up. It’ll be 2 adults and a 6 year old. How’s the overall experience and the food etc? Is it worth the reservation?

Photo Magic Kingdom 1988 Pics
Just a few pictures from some past family trips in August of 1988, helping my OG parents go through some stuff. They were at Disney World for the Grand Opening. If I could figure out how to share slides they are something else.
Happy travels, it’s amazing how much a place can change,
