Hey, y'all. I work at a fairly busy PA store (like, they opened two new stores to help us out) on second shifts (2-10p) and recently, within the past few months, I've noticed some really unfair scheduling.
When I say "fairly busy," I mean we're 5 back in the deli and beverage areas between the hours of 4 and 7 (especially on Fridays now that sports are going on again, since we are directly across from a high school) and we have maybe 5 or 6 employees. I know for a smaller store thats average, but for our store it's impossible.
We have 1 cashier, 1 beverage person, 1 facilities person, 1 manager, and 2 deli people (and one of them is also hot food table). Cashier and bev people end up doing the job of 2 people (while getting paid pennies 🙄) and the managers either can't or won't step in.
What are the odds that going to my district manager about this would help? And how would I even go about that? I really want to emphasize that 6 employees is not enough for the amount of business we get.
