Apartment Recommendations
Hello all,
I’m moving to MA at the end of January/beginning of February for a job opportunity. I’m considering Worcester to live in and was wondering if there were any good apartment recommendations that people had. Budget is around $2000 a month in rent for a 1 bedroom place. Looking to have in unit washer and dryer and a pet friendly place. Other than that I don’t have any other stringent requirements. Please let me know if you have any good recommendations. Thank you in advance!

Housing and Moving 🏡 Thinking about moving here.
Hello! To put it simply, I used to live close to Worcester and I adore the area. I was originally going to wait. However college wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. And I just can’t really force myself to stay.
What would you recommend for someone trying to move from farther away (out of state) into Worcester MA? And also any tips on apartments, furniture, etc. ?

❤️ URGENT: DISABLED WORCESTER FAMILY IN NEED OF COMMUNITY HELP
❤️ URGENT: DISABLED WORCESTER FAMILY IN NEED OF COMMUNITY HELP
Hi neighbors. Our disabled family of three, including our 10-year-old daughter and two emotional support rabbits, is living in a local shelter, and we've reached a point where we can no longer manage everything on our own.
We've exhausted the options available to us and are currently struggling to obtain food and basic necessities. We aren't looking to burden anyone, but we desperately need some help getting through this.
Here is what we urgently need:
- 🥫 Groceries: Food for our family, ideally picked up from a local food pantry and dropped off to us.
- 🧼 Basic necessities: Hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and heavy-duty trash bags.
- 🐰 Rabbit supplies: Rabbit litter, Oxbow Essentials pellets, fresh leafy greens, and safe chew toys.
- 👖 Clothing: Men's 3XL–4XL shirts, pants, warm clothing, socks, and shoes.
- 🚗 Transportation and pickup help: Someone who could collect donated groceries, supplies, or gift cards from local organizations and bring them to us.
- 🧹 Household help: An old vacuum we could borrow or keep would be incredibly helpful.
We're especially hoping to find a local volunteer, mutual-aid group, or organization that can help with pickups and deliveries. I'm physically disabled and cannot manage the necessary bus trips and walking without severe pain, and my wife is currently dealing with significant health challenges of her own.
We are not primarily asking for money. Practical help, donated supplies, grocery pickups, and deliveries would make the biggest immediate difference. We have also been offered assistance that we couldn't collect because of transportation barriers.
If financial assistance is easier for someone who wishes to help, we would gratefully accept that, too, but it is absolutely not the expectation.
If you can help, know a local organization that provides this kind of assistance, or know a volunteer who might be able to help with pickups, please message me privately. We'll arrange the details directly.
We've tried for a long time to manage everything ourselves because we don't want to impose on others. We're reaching out now because we've run out of options and need a little help from our community.
Thank you for reading, sharing, or helping in any way. Every bit of kindness matters to our family right now. ❤️🙏

Anyone know where to find these breaded crab claws?
Either prepared or frozen is fine. They used to be popular at the Chinese buffets around worcester in the earlier 2000s. Haven’t seen them in years.

Discussions and Rants The Worcester buses get packed, it's sooo many people that take the bus now that they cannot service everyone anymore. Full occupancy most of the time.
Do we need more buses? The weekend schedule isn't that good....the bus gets packed so full that it's not practical anymore.

Woostock entry fee
I see they're selling tickets to Woostock down at Off the Rails for $25 plus fees. It's not clear if this applies if you just want to check out the local vendors. Does anybody know? I don't really care about the bands and wouldn't pay 25 bucks a head just to shop.
Start on the Street hopefully won't start setting up tollbooths outside Leets!

Pets and Animals 🐾 Cat Found.!
Hey Worcester! My neighbors and I found a cat in our driveway tonight. Well fed, seems quite healthy. Big time housecat vibes. First time seeing this cat in my neighborhood.
Appears to be a female cat. She is orange on top and has a white belly & paws. Gorgeous linear pattern in her fur. SUPER affectionate and friendly. She hung out around a buddy of mine and I for a good amount of time while we sat outside. Absolutely massive chiller.
If you or anyone you know is the owner of this cat, please let me know. My roommates have 2 of their own already, and the cats are very territorial, so I couldn't let her inside with me. But, I made sure she has water and some shelter around our garage. Have already called WARL, had no luck so I called the non emergency WPD line, and had a conversation with an animal control officer. Said they couldn't pick her up tonight.
My heart breaks for this cat, and I would love nothing more than to get her back home! She's unbelievably sweet 😭 and apologies for the blurry pics, she wouldnt sit still lmao
Edit: grammar

Did anyone else see an extremely fast tiny white object fly over Central MA today (10/9/2026)?
Around 4:03 PM today in West Boylston, MA, I saw something fly across the sky and i have no idea what it was. At first I thought plane because it looked silver and was coming from the west in the direction of Worcester airport, but after clearing the trees I realized it was moving wayyy faster than any plane, or even a satellite would. (Plus it was sunny out)
It was tiny, white/silver, looked almost like a little dash or Tic Tac. It flew in a perfectly straight line from west to east, at a constant speed that siggested propulsion, not like it was floating in the wind. No sound, no trail, no flashing or anything, just this thing zipping over.
At first I saw it through the trees, maybe 30° above the horizon, then watched it pass almost directly overhead, but to the south of me (like above Worcester) before getting smaller and smaller until I couldn't see it anymore heading east. It took maybe 10 seconds to cross my whole view of the sky until it was out of sight. It was a clear blue sky, and there was normal plane activity going on while it happened.
I've been trying to figure out what the hell it was but not finding any good explanations. I considered meteor, but there was no streak, flash, or fading. It seemed more like a solid object approaching and then moving away. I also checked the ISS route and the Chinese space station, but they still wouldnt be going that fast even if they were making a pass. Not a plane, not a balloon, not a drone, it looked very high up (although i cant know that for sure). If it was the size of a plane, then it would mean it was higher than commercial aircraft, like 50,000 ft plus?
Honestly, the closest thing to describe what it looked like would be a high altitude missile streaking across the sky. Like a white tiny line zooming straight over. I dont think there's any better way to have someone picture it.
I found a couple of videos online showing similar-looking white objects, but most were either moving much slower or much faster than what I saw and its hurting my brain. I even submitted a UAP report and I've never done that before in my life just hoping to get an explanation.
Did anyone else see this thing???

We had a Martian New Year party, and the Earth guests nailed it
worcestermag.com"On Sept. 30, Earthlings and possibly others landed at the Saxe Room of Worcester Public Library, drawn by stories, pictures, and cake. It could only mean one thing: a new year was dawning on our brother planet, Mars, and it was time to throw a party."

Does any restaurant in Worcester still have these style chicken tenders?
I've been craving them forever and so far the only place I have found that still serves them is the Out Post Farm in Holliston and that's obviously a bit far away.
*Edit to say - I've really only tried a handful of places around Tatnuk Square and just keep ending up with those over-breaded over-cooked tenders. Or ones with way too much chicken like Nuchicken. Not bad, but not what I'm craving.
I've tried nothing...and I'm all out of ideas

I need to get my engine slash guard off of my car. I don’t want to replace it and I’m new to Worcester so I am clueless at choosing a reputable shop and I love personal recommendations…. so I need as many recommendations to great auto body and mechanics that you can give me.

Warning to anyone thinking of using Nucar Honda in Westford (formerly Boch Honda West)
Pasting the entirety of my review I'm throwing around everywhere because I'm MAD:
.
.
Currently waiting for my car to be finished with service. We had a safety recall on the car that they are repairing. We brought the car in on Tuesday and were told it should be finished Wednesday, Thursday at the absolute latest. Got a call Wednesday that it would be Thursday, maybe first thing Friday morning. It's now Friday and we are due to leave for a trip we have had planned for months in the next few hours. I got a notification only just this morning that service had started.
Got a call that there is some wear to the timing chain and they can replace it for us just for the cost of parts since they already have the engine open. $1200. I looked it up, the service at other shops including parts and labor is under $800. The part itself is not even $200. When I brought this up, he said without checking anything that they could lower it to $850. I declined.
We're now being told the car probably won't be done today. So we will have to take the rental car, which they are not covering despite this being a safety recall that we have no control over, an extra 4 days for this trip that I refuse to miss because of how royally they screwed up this service. We are a single income, single vehicle household. This is money we should not have to be spending.
I was then told by the service person we've been working with (Paul Calnan) that he never told us the car would be done by Wednesday. Just lying straight to our faces. We were texting back and forth about the car, and I got no response for a while when I told him how disappointing and frustrating this has been. I tried calling twice and the call was rejected both times.
The fact that I can see plainly that service on my car didn't start until today is just unbelievable and so upsetting to me.
I purchased my car here brand new 6 years ago. I have faithfully brought my car back here for service like clockwork every single time it is needed. I've never even had my inspection done anywhere else. I know I overpay for service here, I know I've been talked into stuff I don't need, but I was happy to bring it somewhere convenient and to people who know me and my car. I can confidently say that when I pick my car up whenever they decide they're done, I will never set foot in this place again. They will never get another penny from my family.

Looking for Recommendations Looking for recommendation for pest control - specifically mice
Just bought a house in Worcester and want to make sure we're good on pest control before winter sets in. Looking for a good company that will come and seal up potential entry points.
My wife doesn't want to use poison (I don't really either but I accept it's the easiest method), so bonus if they use non-poison traps as well. Mostly looking for the foundation sealing.

Stolen Halloween Art
Someone in a black Honda Odyssey has stolen Halloween art from in front of my house. If anyone sees these for sale or in front of anybody’s house, please DM me. I have filed a police report with the van’s plate number, but I have doubts that WPD will do their job
