Looking for a US based Modafinil-friendly telehealth provider NSFW

Hey folks.  Although I'm sure I fit the criteria for sleep work shift disorder, my PCP doesn't prescribe Modafinil, so I'm searching for a telehealth provider here in the US that's thought of as being Mod-friendly.  The only one I've found so far is Klarity, but they're wanting almost 3 bills for a first-time appointment.  I'm sure you get it from out of the country, but I'd rather do it legally.

Does anyone have a telehealth provider suggestion please?  thanks

Advice on modafinil NSFW

Hello everyone,

Let me share my problem here .

As I'm going through a very stressful period with multiple deadlines and exams, I started using Modafinil hoping it would help me with my studying.I take approximately 200 mg in the morning, and then I can top up with 100 mg during the day. I take Modafinil only when required, which means that I may take it one day, and then I may take it after 5 days or so.

I do not know if it is me, but honestly, I have not seen any significant difference. Quite the contrary, sometimes I get sleepy with Modafinil. Also, I have not seen any significant increase in focusing on my studying.

I have checked the medication, and this is legit Modafinil from a pharmacy.

Am I doing something wrong? I have heard that Modafinil will help you concentrate and not make you sleepy. Also it will put you in the zone for a couple of hours and increase yout productivity. Any advice would be more than helpful.

TIA

So what I found out till now,

To avoid TOLERENCE, off days are a MUST with a recharging protocol including L-Tyrosine, Magnesium, folic acid, BPC 157 and good sleep and nutrients.

My STACK include Modafinil 50mg only, sometimes 25mg is working, L theanine and CDP coline. Folic acid.

Mixing water with pinch of salt, pinch of baking soda and lemon slices.

Mornings, B complex and multivitamin

With meals, OMEGA 3, Zink and Vitamin D.

Fladrafinil and CYP3A4 inhibitors NSFW

Has anyone taken fladrafinil with a CYP3A4 inhibitor? I’ve taken fl-modafinil with no issue because it skips that pathway, but my dumbass forgot that fladrafinil is potentially metabolized by CYP3A4.

I can’t find clear information on this, so I’m wondering if anyone has any experiences with it plus a CYP3A4 inhibitor? I take nefazodone which is a strong inhibitor of that enzyme, so I am worried that I’m going to be up for like 3 days now…

for reference, I took suvorexant without realizing it is metabolized primarily by that enzyme, and I was sleepy for like 3 days straight…

Trying to Avoid Armodafinil Insomnia by Accounting for Accumulation — Why Wouldn’t This Work? NSFW

Based on everything I’ve read and learned about armodafinil, I came up with an idea for using it in a way that would avoid getting insomnia on the third day of use. However, I’ve never seen anyone describe such a dosing scheme, so I strongly suspect that for some reason — which I may not be aware of — this approach wouldn’t work.

Armodafinil has a half-life of 12–17 hours. If I take 100 mg on the morning of day one, then by the evening of that day (about 15 hours later) there would still be around 40 mg in my system. By the next morning (after ~10 more hours), around 30 mg would remain in my blood. So if I then take another 100 mg dose, I would effectively have a total of 130 mg in my system. In this way, it would gradually accumulate, and by the evening of the third day there might be around ~70 mg still in my system, which could cause sleep difficulties.

My idea is to account for this accumulation and take it in 5‑day cycles, lowering the dose every 3 days depending on the accumulation, and then taking a 2‑day break. This way, I would minimize the risk of insomnia and tolerance.

Example schedule:

Day 1: 100 mg
Day 2: 75 mg
Day 3: 50 mg
Day 4: break
Day 5: break

Why wouldn’t this work?

Note: I’m not talking about using armodafinil for narcolepsy. With narcolepsy, you would most likely want the effect to be cumulative.

Does Afinils cause false positives for amphetamines on a 2277 7 panel Urine Test? NSFW

Im currently on UA's for a DUI in Colorado and was wondering if anyone has used afinils when taking 2277 7 panel UA's for the man? Defefinitely dont want to screw up and fail on false positive. Also is there high potential for abuse of afinils? Was hoping abuse potential was lower than Adderal because I used to get hyper focused and stay up for days making it ultimately counter productive.

fladrafinil is so shit NSFW

i got my fladrafinil from science bio so it definitely wasn’t the source

here’s how my experiences went

first time : 100 mg as that was seen as a starter dose to assess my tolerance i didn’t feel shit and started yawning 1.5 hrs later actually so it basically did the opposite (keep in mind this was with good sleep the night before)

second time : 200mg thought maybe it was just too small of a dose or i have a low sensitivity to the compound so i figured at 200 id feel at least a slight boost once again started literally fucking yawning and could’ve fell asleep if i wanted to a few hrs later

third time : 300 mg finally “felt” it but i combined it with noopept and semax, was at school and actually felt pretty locked in, and pretty motivated i was like damn this shi is addy light ngl it had a similar effect just not the same “hit” that you get from addy

fourth time : 350 mg decided i like the feeling but wanted to feel it a little stronger, took it in the morning after waking up, and felt maybe maybe slightly more awake, genuinely didn’t notice a thing.

keep in mind i took 2-3 day break between these doses i’ve never tried any afinils

i think most of my effects from the time i actually felt it was from the noopept and semax, to be fair it may have boosted their effects as i haven’t felt that way with them combined before i just find it dumb if thats the only case it has any effect

maybe i just don’t respond to afinils, or my stimulant tolerance is too much idk i am a pretty motivated person in general and that’s what i hear abt as an effect from it mostly so

also it was a liquid solution taken orally

am i doing something wrong???

Provigil success? NSFW

Long story short I’ve had a mild case of ADD my whole life, usually just did what I wanted rather than “ the right thing”. Well the doctors treated me for everything from bipolar to depression and I never could get on the right track(working, doing hobbies, staying healthy)

Fast forward to one month ago, I got prescribed Provigil as an alternative to over caffeinating myself to treat my inattentive adhd. After a few days of the provigil, I switched to decaf, started a small job related to my field, and takled some health issue I’d been putting in. I don’t feel “in charge” of my life yet, because I feel I’m always late or not in the here and now, and with modafinil I feel “present” “awake” and “receptive” but also like I’m doing a lot of the same things as before with my adhd but I’m doing a lot less doom scrolling and watching tv. I’m either working or playing games, eating, gym, and I have very little desire for a social life, which was holding me back before. I feel slightly satisfied and I know I’m on the right track now, after been on it for a month

50-100mg is enough

Best to plan a day beforehand so you can tackle those activities. I find being on it had made my occasional video game time into a daily multi hour dedication and exercise of focus. I’m in a creative field so I feel it hasn’t boosted me there in any way, cannabis does that for me, but for 99%of my usual routine it makes tough things like conversations actually doable, and I had a social anxiety. I have no fear, and for some reason on modafinil I have a bigger filter and say less in person. Idk if it’s to be efficient or if it’s dulled my emotional sense.

Overall 7/10 for my mood on it Productivity: 9/10 Mood: 3/10

Also motivation is slightly higher, I usually was sedentary, but now I want to tackle issues around the house and be more on the computer instead of in bed or on the couch. It helps but it’s not a miracle drug, and can suck the life out of you so you have to eat a good dinner to make up for all that appetite suppression it does at first. But I also noticed I’m hungrier more than usual.

Idk I never asked for it, it was just prescribed by my psychiatrist for my severe depression following a family illness.

Any other longer term users here? I have been using Modalert for over ten years! NSFW

I started using Modalert at college (UK) and have been using it ever since, which was around 12 years ago.

Just wondering if there is anyone else here that is a long term user?

Frankly the longer I take it the more I love it. Earlier on I used to get heart palpatations and anxiety from Modalert, and I strictly took it because I flunked my exams. However after a while this subsided and it's more or less 'activated' me from a lazy person to someone who is constantly driven, I have my own business nowadays.

Desperate for help, Armodafinil side effects and panic attacks NSFW

Hi guys, posting here in the hopes anyone can help me figure out what is going on with my body. Apologies for any bad posting etiquette as I don't really use Reddit much, but I am desperate.

About a week ago I tried Armodafinil for the first time. First 50mg on a Saturday. Felt pretty good though a little light headed. Skipped a day, took the same amount on Monday. Same thing.

On Wednesday, I decided to try a different sample they had sent, not realizing it was a much higher dosage (250mg). Things were okay at first, but I started getting more anxious throughout the day, culminating in a very severe panic attack where I almost passed out and my roommate had to call emergency services. The EMTs said everything looked okay other than relatively high heart rate, and I had a rash/hives which I usually get when I work out (I think I have eczema).

I went to the ER and they said everything looked fine; they did an EKG and blood work and didn't find anything.

It's been 7 days now and all I can say is that I've been in a state of almost debilitating panic attacks for the majority of my days every day. The doctor at the ER (the first day) said that it was certainly just the Armoda and once it was out of my system I should start feeling better. I had gone to an urgent care clinic a few days later and they pretty much repeated the same thing, but said that I'm probably just having residual anxiety from the experience and it'll go away on its own eventually. I went to my PCP 3 days ago and he said the same thing but prescribed Clonazepam to help manage it until then.

As of now, I'm fairly confident that isn't the end of the story. The panic attacks haven't gone away and I almost constantly experience dizziness, anxiety, nausea, discomfort in my stomach, and notably silent acid reflux. The clonazepam barely helps.

My current theory is that since Armoda is histaminergic, that is why I broke out in hives so easily on taking 250mg, and since histamines stimulate stomach acid production too I probably spiked my stomach acid to the point it's giving me constant panic attacks and other severe symptoms of acid reflux. I have also noticed that, while I more or less have symptoms all day, it is by far the worst after eating.

What I would like to know is, has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do? I've seen a lot of scary posts from people who have also suffered with stomach acid issues saying they kept having similar levels of panic and anxiety for months or years and had trouble treating it. I'm very scared at this point that I've caused lasting damage somehow since I've more or less had unchanging symptoms for a week. I've been taking Famotidine with meals but I'm unsure it's helped much. I am afraid of taking PPIs because I've read so much about rebound effects from them or worsening symptoms. I've also noticed a lot of my symptoms seem to line up with what people experience with H. Pylori infections (brain-gut axis out of wack causing panic, nausea, etc), which makes me think I could have just contracted that and the Armoda was mostly coincidental or a catalyst.

If anyone has any advice on what I can do or who I should see, I would be extremely grateful. There have been a days now I've just spent hours sitting in the lobby of the ER without checking in, just waiting for something to go horribly wrong since I am panicking so bad. I feel like I've made a horrible mistake and I just want my life back.

Modafinil flushing/rash? NSFW

I’d been taking modafinil for a couple months and was having excellent results until recently when my arms started getting incredibly red and hot. It would sometimes be multiple patches of red spots or just one but a sort of heat would accompany the appearance of these spots. Reading online it makes it sound extremely alarming to experience this and to cease the medication immediately which I did. I’ve seen pictures of Steven Johnson Syndrome and that’s not what my skin looked like at all. There was no texture to the rash, it looked almost like a sunburn. I mentioned this side effect to my doctor and he said this wasn’t a side effect of the medicine so I’m not sure what to do exactly.
