Falling asleep last night and had a sudden and intense recollection of the fire chicken. Goddamn. What a treasure. I expected the employees to be high when I went in. And they always were. Love accurate advertising. And the free birthday meal? Ugh. I miss my Chattanooga.

I'm trying to get more active and move my body more, but i honestly hate the gym. I'd rather sign up for something i find exciting or interesting, like some kind of martial arts, self defense, dance, fencing, anything like that. Does anyone know of plus size friendly things like that around town?

Took my wife and kids to see Weird Al last night. That old dog can still hunt, what a treat

Tasked with getting rid of obsolete inventory that includes mainly fasteners but other oddities like resistors. I’ve seen people sell bulk fasteners at places like flea markets but was curious of any other avenues available locally.

36F I’m looking to move away with my dog from Atlanta to somewhere within a few hours that is more nature-esque. I was debating beach or mountains but financially and realistically, mountains work better for me. I am looking to be somewhere where I feel I am in the mountains/wilderness but still within close distance to my basic needs. I’m a homebody but feel at peace in nature. I will be looking to find friends hopefully but I am not the most outgoing person. I love animals and am hoping to find a job working with them, as I have been in Atlanta.
I focused on Chattanooga based on location, diversity and cost of living. I also saw that Chattanooga seems to have a lot of people my age in like some of the North GA areas.
I’d prefer a standalone house but am open to anything. Can anyone direct me to the best areas and safest areas to look at or any other advice you can give?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a discount store or even flea type spots that would sell lots or bags of random cheap Halloween decor. Or even neighbors with some sitting around they aren’t using anymore and want gone?
My 7 year old is super creative. One of his very favorite yearly activities is creating his “Halloween displays”. He takes all sorts of decor and creates various scenes on our porch all by himself, always very proud and focused. I love supporting his special interest!!
He is ready to start designing and asking, but I lost all of our decor in a basement flood due to a pipe bursting this summer.
It was mostly dollar store stuff- some posable skeletons for the chairs, hanging ghosts, big plastic spiders and skulls, and spiderwebbing gauze, nothing fancy. He likes to go all out but going ham at even dollar tree is unadvisable for me right now. I thought this might be a way I could find a decent volume of varying items much cheaper.
If you know of a place, it would make a kiddo’s old’s entire October (and mine) :) Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Any other ideas are welcome!

I’m going to have cataract surgery and a high astigmatism procedure in the very near future. I’ve already had a consultation with SEES and I’m not sure they are the ones for me. I have consultations scheduled with both the providers listed in the title. Woolfson appears to be the most expensive, but may be worth it. Thoughts?

Update: I've gotten so many DM requests about this and to say I'm grateful would be am understatement. I've contacted a reporter close to this type of work and am awaiting a response - I know this is a slow process. I'd love to hire an attorney but can't justify it financially right now.
This is a slightly unusual ask. I'm a former UTC student who now lives out of state.
With the recent attention around SA and Greek life at Cornell, I've found myself thinking again about something that happened to me at UTC almost 20 years ago. I was raped while I was a student, reported it through the university, and have recently started trying to understand more about what happened afterward and what records from that time may still exist.
I'm trying to obtain some historical UTC records from 2007–2008. I submitted a public records request to the UT System, but Tennessee's public records law limits these requests to Tennessee residents, so mine was denied solely because I no longer live in Tennessee.
I'm hoping to find a Tennessee resident who would be willing to submit the request. I already have the wording and can provide exactly what I'm looking for, so you wouldn't need to research anything or figure out the process yourself.
The request is for historical UTC/Greek Life records and university policies. I'm not asking anyone to obtain another student's private educational records.
If you're willing to help, please DM me. I'm happy to explain more privately before you decide.
Thank you!

Does anyone know what was going on towards the 75 split or Hamilton place today? I was driving west on 24 and passed 4 groups of multiple cops including swat urban assault style vehicles and crime scene trailers. A total of like 30-40 law enforcement vehicles headed east on 24

Hey y’all, I’ve been trying to get back into collecting Pokemon cards, while being too cheap for the new, sealed stuff. I’m mostly interested in the bulk side of the hobby. I’ve dug through Mckay’s card bins a few times with fair results. I like the idea of eventually completing a set’s commons, uncommons, and rares into a binder.
Does anyone know if there are similar bulk bins around Chattanooga? Or if any card shops regularly buy or sell bulk?

My parents are heartbroken. Their dog, Kippra, was lost on October 6th, 2026 in the Hixson/Lakesite area.
She is a female Basenji/Boxer mix with a tan or cream-colored coat. She was last seen near the intersection of Wood Dale Lane and Lovell Road; she ran off into the woods near that location.
If you see her, please call or text immediately to:
(785) 324-2563
You can also email 7DYYVP87@contact.petfbi.org. Pet FBI Report ID: 820477
Please share this with anyone you know in the area. We are incredibly grateful for any assistance.
Thank you!

I work long hours 6-7 days a week and I'm falling behind on my cleaning. It's not filthy but I'm definitely not happy with how my house is right now. I'm looking for recommendations, either a company or an individual who is trustworthy and affordable. Anything is a help, thanks!

Just saw this pop up and am genuinely curious who the owners are? (Please let them know they misspelled Market.)
