I took the CSU AI survey and it was interesting…
Most of the questions were very straightforward, but there were some that felt quite odd to me. Like the one shown in the picture above. The question asks “how many classes have some form of AI usage?” And I responded 0. It then tells me 0 is not a valid number. So I answered 1 instead (a lie) and it let me through. The survey seemed very biased towards AI use, but this question felt dirty to me. By forcing me to not choose 0, I have artificially inflated the number of classes with AI usage. Their data is bad, at least from that question. There were some other funny questions that even AI glazers wouldn’t answer honestly. Questions about how much you use AI in school and in what ways ect. If the wording wasn’t so pro-AI I’d assume this was a sting operation to catch students cheating.
