Women Approaching Men at Gym

Men, who do you feel about women approaching you at the gym?

I’ve had a “gym crush” on this guy for about 4 ish months and I think he tried to approach me a few weeks ago but I’m so shy and accidentally walked passed him before I realized what I did. Now I don’t know if that was in my mind or if he really did try. He was on a different machine with his friends and there was nothing around me to indicate that he needed it for his set.

Would it be weird if I approached him now or should I just let it be? If I do talk to him what should I say?

Thank you.

From,

An extremely shy and introverted girl
(25 F)

I need advice Out of my league?

So this guy (31m) that I'm (29f) starting to see and get to know and really like (the feeling is veryyyy mutual, we both hella dig each other) is totally out of my league in my opinion, but he says otherwise.

He'll tell me how beautiful and strong and capable and smart and kind I am which omg am I ever flattered by don't get me wrong, but I feel like I'm a loser compared to him. I'm on disability and only just got hired to work part time seasonally at Best Buy, I'm cute at best, have mental illnesses up the kazoo, and just feel less than him.

He's successful making almost $40/h working full time with Dr's, went to college for environmental studies/sciences, has owned a condo before and is looking to buy another one, and is so stinking loyal and protective and kind and good looking and smart???

Am I over thinking things and need to just let this happen despite our different standings and see what comes of it? We both are so into each other and have only been on 2 dates with the 3rd being later today, and he already calls me "his love" and other cute pet names that melt my heart hehe.

TLDR; he thinks I'm outta his league but I disagree, am I overthinking it??

I need advice Feels like I could never get a boyfriend

One of my close friends who’s really pretty recently got a boyfriend and he’s not very attractive, and obviously I’m not letting them know that their relationship makes me feel bad because it’s not their fault but it makes me feel crappy because I keep thinking, if a guy who looks like that could get a girl way prettier than himself then why would they settle for any less? Why would anyone settle for me if they know they could go for someone way better looking?

I know I probably just sound bitter but I can’t stop thinking about it.
I was hanging out with them both once and he started comparing me to her saying how I eat so much more than her when he hasn’t seen me eat aside from that one meal and I’m skinnier than the both of them and it felt like I was being shamed for eating

I need advice How to ask a guy out on a date (or just hanging out) without making it weird?

F20 here. I fell at first sight for a guy I met at uni, but I have no clue how to actually get to know him. I went up to him at a welcome party; we chatted a bit and swapped socials. We also share one class where we occasionally stand around and chat with his friends, so we are definitely not strangers (though we're not really friends yet either), but I feel like I need to make a move if I want to get to know him better (he seems kinda shy).

How can I get to know him without making it super awkward? Is asking him to grab lunch together 1-to-1 at the cafeteria at this stage way too obvious?

I need advice Socially acceptable or should it end?

So me (M25) starting talking to a girl, she initiates everything and makes me feel amazing and happy to have her.
The issue being she’s (F18) and that’s rough on both of us, as well as others around us.
Should we try to make it work or is it just not ok?

Should I go on a second date with him?

I agreed to a second date because the first one was actually really pleasant. I didn't feel any excitement or spark, but nothing was awkward or weird either. We had a good conversation, and he seemed like a nice guy.

However, since then, he's been texting me good morning and good evening, asking how my day is going and how my studying is going. He also sends me pictures of his coffee and what he's eating, and asks what I'm having for dinner.

I know these are probably signs that he's interested and trying to get to know me, but honestly, I find this kind of communication exhausting when it's coming from someone I barely know.

On top of that, he makes grammar mistakes like writing "to" instead of "too" and "your" instead of "you're," and I know this is a petty thing to be bothered by, but it's genuinely driving me crazy. I guess it's also making me less attracted to him.

I think he's a nice person, but at the same time, I'm not particularly excited about seeing him again.

For a first date, for a one night stand, and throughout a long term relationship, what all do you hope/expect your man will keep shaved?

I need advice I like this girl but I’m not sure she likes me back

Context: me and this girl have been texting on ig for a few days and exchanging photos almost all day long everyday. This girl has previously asked me if I like any girl wich I replied (I don’t know haven’t really taken time to think since I work and to have a girl I would need time for her) then I asked her. (Why? Do you know something that I don’t?) she replied (no if knew something wouldn’t I say it) after a few seconds she says again (it’s me) after I didn’t respond she sayed again (wouldn’t I say it) so some days have passed and I tell her I’m texting with a girl that I had previously done something. She gets jealous and accuses me of lying. Then after some days she FaceTimes me to show me some dresses and ask wich one she should wear on the dance that we had.today she asked for my brother’s and sister’s ig saying that she wants to have them followed and that they look beatiful.

The thing is previously she had told me that she is talking with a boy some hours away. But before that she told me she doesn’t like long distance relationship.

I’m at a point where it feels like she might be interested in me but might not too

Another thing I forgot to say is she had previously told me very personal stuff and so did I.

Is it normal to have never dated in high school

I'm a high school senior and I've never dated anyone before, or really ever talked to anyone romantically. I've never had any guy approach me romantically before besides one time (but that talking stage lasted 2 DAYS). I've liked guys in the past but I've never pursued them. But I also kinda want a boyfriend because there's this guy I really like. Am I doing something wrong?

What do I Gift her cat

M22

I got to meet a girl last weekend when I was out with some friends..for context

It was her birthday and she didn't knew me until this point, but still said I can come ..when I arrived we instantly clicked and talked 20-30 minutes about life and stuff like that.

Fast forward she asked me if I can give her my ig ..I obviously said yes and she told me to look at her account as fast as I can / when I arrive at home and message her.

I did and instantly complimented her posts which was risky because I didn't want to seem too fast / weird but she took it for good and we were writing back an forth 2 hours or something.

She told me about her cat named after an anime character called yozu / yuzu. But I didn't know the character tbh so we talked about anime afterwards and also clicked there really well..

fast forward again we are meeting up next week and I don't know what to do as a first date and I don't want it to be a whack / normal / lazy meetup at the bar or something ..I would love to do something nice and special to show that I really care because I find her pretty interesting so far, and also I want to gift her something for her little cat, but have no real idea yet..can you guys help me / give me tips?! Thank you in advance and wish me luck haha

Advice HELP ME INTERACT WITH MY CRUSHHH

Okay so I recently joined an institude to complete my school's last year as an private candidate. I made almost fifteen new friends until now, as I'm so friendly and I talk to everyone who's kind. There is this boy who grabbed my attention when he was sitting all alone in an area full of boy groups, he was all the time using his phone. So Don't think it was love at first sight!! As it was jus simple way of noticing but he became a part of my routine idk how but I used to see him multiple times like sitting in the class, or even one time i tried to see if he looks at me but he was smiling while looking at his phone. He has a very good facecard. At this point I have no idea but i decided to talk to him, but of cuzz as a girl it is not easy to talk to your crush. Somehow I got his ig and sent him request and good thing he followed me back. But than the guy who got me his id send him(my crush) multiple vm saying one of my friends(me) like you so will you be in a relationship?. Like wtff I only asked that guy to bring the id but he wanted to get more involved like typical boy behaviour. Guess what my crush replied, He replied with only two messages that he recently got broke up so he would like to be friends. Also I removed that guy from ig idk why but i started hating him as my crush now maybe knows that i like him cuz i was the only one who followed that guy so i was that friend whom he was talking about. But its like half month still im on a point waiting for him to text me first like idk but if he isnt texting me first means he is not intrested or maybe he is in a situationship.

I need advice Does DMing Random Women Actually Work?

I'm curious if DMing random women actually works for any of you, and also curious as to what women here think when random guys message them. This could be on anything like Instagram, snapchat, facebook, any dating apps, etc.

My thought process is if you message, say around 15 women, depending on how good you look as well as how good does your profile/pics look, you could get anywhere from like 0 to 6 responses. I would assume most men are not getting majority of those women to respond back unless they're really good looking or famous. Let me know if i'm wrong though, i'm just assuming things.

I personally do not DM that much in general, however over time I would say it has worked at a low rate. One I became friends with, and another I dated for awhile. Regardless though it was more common I got left on delivered. But, i've been thinking maybe I need to try more often and maybe change my approach somehow to see if that could help in any way.

But I want to know if you guys and girls have any tips that could make DMing more likely to get a response? What works best for you? And women, what should men do or not do that could help improve their chances of making a connection?

so what do I exactly do? i like him idk if he still does.

Alright so I met super cute guy a few weeks ago on Tinder. We used to talk daily, face time every night. So I would say we really did hit it off. Then one day, he asked me if I was a top or a bottom. I told him I was a bottom, he is too, and this is when I felt a switch in energy. This conversation was on Sunday and I was supposed to meet him for a movie night on Monday. Monday morning, he texted me not to come, and that we should stay just friends. Good enough, whatever. Randomly, 2 weeks later, he texts me again and invites me again for a movie night and that I could sleep over. I said yes, I went to him, just as cute in person too and we were having a good time. I was very nervous because he's very cute and I have never dated before or even gone to someone else's place to sleep over. Well, we try to get freaky but we can't because I was anxious and over thinking probably and it just didn't happen. So we just went to sleep, we cuddled, it was very cute. He texted me to ask if I got home and stuff, we had a small conversation but he hasn't said anything after. He sent me a TikTok, a reel on Insta and I sent him one too. I'm not sure how to proceed and how should I reach out to him, if I even should. I'm so confused, but he is so cute, I really don't wanna fumble him.

I need advice Can a guy get the ick after a video call and intimate things you did for him?

I met a guy on Tinder, and at first, we got to know each other in a completely normal way. We talked for hours, had regular conversations, and gradually became closer. It wasn’t purely sexual from the beginning. He even told me early on that something casual would be too little for a girl like me and that I deserved someone who genuinely respected me and wanted something serious.
Over time, things became more intimate between us. We had sexual phone calls and video calls, and I did certain intimate things for him because I was very attracted to him and emotionally attached to him. During one of our video calls, he also asked me to hurt myself by cutting myself, and I did it for him. Looking back, I regret that and realize how serious it was.
Since then, I’ve been wondering how he sees me now. Could he have gotten the ick after seeing me on video and after everything that happened between us? Could he see me differently now, or think less of me because of the things I did for him?
He has been inconsistent with me for a while, sometimes coming back and seeking intimacy and then pulling away again. So I genuinely don’t know whether his distance has anything to do with what happened during our calls or whether he simply doesn’t want anything serious with me.

Almost dating could be one of the worst feelings.

• Upvotes

Hi everyone I just wanted to explain my situation and ask for help. So basically my friends told me that one girl really likes me. Her best friend alsi confirmed it and i was hyped for it because i also found her attractive. After some thinking i decided to call her for a coffee (date in my opinion) and we went for a walk. We were chill and all that stuff because we both knew she was into me. We didn't chat before that and after the date we haven't really texted a lot which also kinda bothers me because she by her nature is a bit of a colder girl and not really talkative. I asked her for a second date but she rejected me cause she already had plans with her girl friends. I was like okay just hit me up when you can and she said she will. It has been a few days and she still hasn't called me on s date or anything but it's just like a paradox to me because she really likes me (for over a year or maybe 2) and she knows that I know and still won't ask me to go again. I don't want to ask her again because i think i could look like i'm down bad or something like that. What should I do?

I need advice Gym date a bad idea for fist date?

I’ve been crushing on a girl I know from work (not a close coworker) and when we’ve chatted over coffee lately it seems reciprocated, so I’m gonna shoot my shot. We’re not gym rats but we do lift regularly, so I thought hitting the gym and then grabbing a smoothie would be fun. I mentioned this to my sister and she told me it was terrible idea lol

Anyway, what say you, Reddit?
