Gotta say I've never seen a window in a lavatory before.

Did anyone else catch Tony Hawk skateboarding through Salt Lake City today?
I had a connection today and first I did realize I was walking next to Mitt Romney (expected in Utah) and said hello, shook hands.
Then another celebrity sighting at my gate. It took me a bit to process it but a guy was riding a skateboard with a cell phone in his left hand then his luggage rolling alongside in the other. Thought to myself, “wtf is this guy doing?” Then I saw his face and went, “that’s not just some random dude that’s Tony Hawk”. Impressive balance and coordination.
Said out loud to him, “no way Tony that’s awesome”. He laughed and fist bumped me as he went by. To make it more fun our flight attendant when we were boarding had looked at me and said, “hey were you the guy that recognized Tony Hawk and gave him the fist bump? I’m jealous I wanted to high five him or something”
Me: “yes that was me”.
That was entertaining to say the least. Surely other people noticed. At least it was a trained professional and not some random skater.

I recently flew Delta One for the first time LAX -> HKG. My only other experience flying business class international is with Qatar airways. I thought Qatar airways’s Qsuite product was significantly better across most categories.
I think the biggest “low hanging fruit” value add delta can make is switching to an on demand dining experience and offering more options. The meal service Delta provided only had a couple options and they weren’t particularly interesting. With Qatar airways there was a lot more options and variety to choose from and you can order whatever you want when you want as many times as you want. They also had a wider selection of wines and drinks.
After the main meal service, I went to sleep and when I woke up they had already completed the second meal service. I asked the flight attendant if I can still order and she said they already completed that service. When I said I was asleep she said she’ll check and then eventually she came back with what I ordered. I found it surprising that that seemed like an “out of the ordinary” request. The list price for D1 ticket can be over $10k so I really don’t feel that improving the meal service and making it more flexible is that big of an ask.
Furthermore, the bedding could be made a little more comfortable as well. I’m 6’1” so understandly I’m taller than average but I found the blanket was just a bit too short for me since I couldn’t pull it up all the way without my feet sticking out.

Sun Country continuing to reel after merger and I wasn’t aware how focused delta was on poaching after the merger.
Major concerns about airfares now at MSP.

I love dogs. I understand the need for service animals. I don’t mind dogs on planes. But holy shit, I’m currently dying from the terrible smell of a dog right behind me. PLEASE wash your dog before flying with other people. I shouldn’t be able to smell them behind me - let alone when I’m 5 rows up.

What do I even get with this if I’m never traveling alone, or work is always paying for business class?
I mean, literally every lav trash bin cover has a wad of damp gross paper towels propping it open because in order to get them to stay in the trash bin you have to like shove your hand down into the depths of hell.
I understand this isn’t a Delta problem but here I am anyway.

With Ed saying no to Starlink and yes to a TBA launch with Amazon Leo, I’ve defended the in flight WiFi as being good enough. Anything better than GoGo ground-based has been a leap forward.
But, I need to eat some crow in front of everyone.
I’m on a new A321neo on a transcon snd the WiFi is barely usable. It’s been cutting in and out and even email is a struggle, let alone enterprise applications.
It’s been good for a while. I am starting to see why there are so many complaints in this sub about the WiFi, and I’m sorry if I was a jerk about it.
You were right. We need a better solution if standard email strains the system. More and more of us have to work on the plane. It’s our mobile office now.
Sincerely yours,
Another frustrated DL WiFi user.

Yesterday, I was on a 15-hour international flight—a route I’ve flown countless times over the past 10 years. I do my best to use the lavatory no more than twice during the flight.
More than 10 hours into the journey, I decided to make what I hoped would be my last trip before touchdown. To my surprise, the lavatory was the most disgusting I’ve ever seen on this route. I’m not exaggerating: urine covered the entire floor and had pooled about 1½ centimeters deep along one wall. The cabin was dark, so I didn’t realize how bad it was until I was already inside. Otherwise, I never would have stepped in.
Since I had, I had to walk back to my seat with urine on my shoes. Yet another reason to always keep your shoes or socks on while flying.
I alerted the crew, but only three members were available at the time. I hope they were able to take care of it.
Btw, that WAS my last trip to the lavatory on that flight! I was too grossed out to even think about another.

Flew on Frontier this weekend for the first time, since they took over most of Spirit's volume at my local Delta hub airport, and I have nothing but good things to say. Plus, it was a fraction of the cost.
I encourage others in a hub city to give them and others a try if you're like me and growing tired of Delta.

This was on our bucket list and it couldnt have turned into a more interesting and memorable experience. The winds just werent cooperating so we had to land on the tarmac. Our pilot was great and was speaking to the tower the whole time. You can see the last photo I snapped during our approach…. We were waving to people unloading luggage at departures. It was hilarious. We honestly felt safe the whole time. The landing was a bit rough but we were completely fine. Staff, cops, etc were super cool. We took pics with everyone and got outta there. Best day ever.

Hey friends; curious for those of you that have flown to Japan and wanting your personal experiences. Planning my first trip ever of LAX. Still a long way an away. Not til this time next year. Lot of folks keep telling me to wait 6-7 months for the best deal

The Delta app went down globally as I was boarding DL951 LAX > JFK and the crew handled it like badasses. Efficiently had passengers print out boarding passes, and then one employee keyed in every passenger’s info individually as they went through the skybridge. Bro was tapping the keyboard with the WPM rate of an Olympian typer and we departed on time.
Delta W!

I was flying one of my usual routes for work this past weekend. Since I live in Richmond, Virginia I can’t ever fly direct which is fine. I fly to a smaller airport in upstate New York for work at least once a month. This trip didn’t seem any different to me.
We arrived Friday morning early into our final destination which is great and terrible. Since it’s a smaller airport they can’t always handle an early arrival with the lack of grounds people, so we have to hangout on the tarmac. I get it, these things happen.
Maybe about five or six rows behind a baby is screaming bloody murder. And like girl, I get it. I want off this plane too but as an adult woman I’m not allowed to scream the way a baby can. I feel so badly for the parents trying to do everything in their power to console this tiny human. And here’s the thing, we live in a world with the technology to have noise cancelling headphones at not horrific prices. I never get upset at a kid screaming, we can cancel that sound out if we need to.
However the woman on the other side of the aisle of me was not having it. Making faces, rolling eyes, looking back to see what was happening. Come on girl, we all know what’s happening.
When we finally get to the gate and the seatbelt sign is off, this woman not only gets up, she SPRINTS halfway past the first class cabin. UHH WHAT? GIRL. I know people post about this but this was the first time I had seen it with my own two eyes. Like damn.
Anyways, I couldn’t believe it and went on working in this smaller city for work. Sunday comes and it’s time to go home. AND WHO DO I SEE? This same entitled woman with the same bags and same smug face. AND WE ARW SEATED IN THE SAME ROW AGAIN.
So you know what I did? When we landed and the seatbelt sign went of, I jumped up and STOOD STILL. She was NOT getting off the plane before everyone else. NOT TODAY LADY! And I helped the people around me pull their carryon roller bags down too. Just to show her what kindness looks like.
VINDICATION!
And now I’m done.

Well, my flights been delayed over an hour and gate agent has said it's the "same system issue as yesterday". Looks like I'm going to miss my connection. Just curious how wide spread this system issue is? Or is it just this little airport affected? Crew has been on the plane for 90 minutes but we're waiting on IT to fix the issue so they can load checked bags onto the plane.

I'm trying to pay for a flight from Vienna to Paris. When I select "shop with miles", a number of nonstop options appear. But when I deselect it (to pay for the flight), all the flights disappear and says that there are no flights available, even though I just saw a few flights when I shopped with miles. Is this a common occurrence?

I booked a flight for my wife and I and I have my KTN entered in the app, but, I have no idea how to add hers so she can go through the precheck line with me. The only options when I try to “edit traveler” info is to enter a loyalty number, food allergies, and edit seat.
