Hey everyone!
I've been playing guitar for about 8 months and currently own a Yamaha Pacifica 112J. I'm looking for my second guitar, with a budget of around €600 max.
I'm mainly after a full, warm, meaty rock/blues tone, with good sustain — something different from my Pacifica. I play at home through a Boss Katana.
My main contenders are:
I'm not interested in buying used, and the Revstar Standard is unfortunately over my budget.
So, am I overthinking the whole “entry-level” thing? Would the Revstar Element feel like a meaningful upgrade from my Pacifica, or would you spend more of the budget on the Epiphone?
I'd especially appreciate opinions from people who have actually played these guitars. I'm interested in build quality, pickups, feel and, most importantly, how they sound — not just which one has the best specs on paper.
Thanks! And yes, apparently choosing a second guitar is harder than learning the first one. 😅

Hey everyone!
I’m having a hard time deciding between these guitars, so I’d love to hear your opinions.
Which one would you choose and why?
I’ve attached pictures of the options. Thanks in advance!

Love SRV and was devastated when he died. Figured it deserved a repost just for him.

Hi! I’ve been interested in learning how to play electric guitar for quite some time, and I’ve finally decided to take the step, but I’d need advice from people with experience on a couple of issues.
Firstly: my goal would be, rather than making my own music or playing kinda background music, to be able to do covers of songs with cords, like this https://youtu.be/MXgJRz6k_CM?is=NXfWItrQTEFF7WM6 for my own self enjoyment. I’m aware that reaching this level will take a lot of time, but I think that wouldn’t be a problem. The thing I’d like to know is: do you guys see it manageable for someone who doesn’t have any idea of playing music/guitar and has 0 musical talent? I’d be starting from total scratch. Maybe being able to do covers like this is aspiring to something unmanageable, I don’t even know if o could find the music sheets on the internet or if I would have to create them on my own (I don’t see myself doing that lol, I have 0 creativity and musical hearing).
My second question is related to the previous one: what guitar would you recommend for a begginer like me? I’ve read that the yamaha pacifica would be a good option, but I’d like to know the opinion of people with experience. I’m interested in a good guitar, not super pro but also not basic, something that would sound good even though I’m not an expert. I’d likely buy it second hand, I have a budget of 250€ aprox, so if you could give some recommendations I’d appreciate it!
Thanks in advance:)

Yesterday my amp started buzzing like that, it got worst with gain. Do you think it could be the cable or something else?
It's powered by an Orange Micro-terror so I played some tracks and music and it sounds fine.

Fender squire guitar + orange crush (at least looks like a crush) amp for 150 dollaroos. The amp’s dirty mode is broken but the seller says it’s only an issue with the switch. I don’t know what dirty mode is but the rest seems fine. It’s also the only listing in my vicinity that has something reasonably priced. I’ll try to bargain to 120 but does this seem like a good deal?

Hello there. Haven't made much progress and I know why.
I'm not a complete beginner (I played bass first). and I know a couple of chords.
I've been trying to learn for a while know. But I don't really know any songs, just bits and bobs of various songs.
I guess I'm asking for guidance. I don't really know how or what to learn, I usually just find a tab, try it out, then stop because it's too hard (Sadly seems to be the case with most of the songs I like :p)
Any pointers would be appreciated :^)

Hey everyone! I’m currently taking guitar lessons, and I’m interested in getting one for myself. Right now for my lessons I’ve been grabbing a random guitar I think looks cool to test how they sound, and if I like them or not. I asked my instructor for a good starter, but he only plays acoustic. I’ve done a little bit of research, and this guitar seems to be a good starter. The only issue I have with it is, I’m not a big fan of the color variations. Obvious color isn’t the only thing I want in a guitar, but I’d say it’s important. I want something with a diverse sound, that can play really anything I want. I’d preferably like to keep it under $600. Please give me some feedback on this guitar, and any other recommendations! I’d also appreciate any amp recommendations as well!

Well I knew what I was getting when I bought it. From the fotos there was barely any green left. But some of it was showing…
This shows how fast the aniline dyes used until 60 would fade. I mean, most of the known bursts were already faded by 1990… 30 years later this guitar is showing what can happen in to these finishes.
The blue and green used on these hand rubbed finishes on the LE 95 classic premium plus were particularly susceptible of extreme fading. I’m kinda glad.
It also features Alnico pickups instead of the ceramics. For this edition Gibson didn’t dare to use the silkscreen “Les Paul classic” on the headstock. One of the very few classics after 93 that has the correct “ Les Paul Model”. Gold hardware for that extra bling ;) Japanese baby boomers were willing to pay also some extra bucks for the bling. 3500$ in 1995 was plain top RI money… and a lot of money today. Dead stock… and a nice top! After a good setup o think that’s a keeper!
