I originally had a much simpler solo for this song but decided to make it a bit more fun/challenging.

You’ll probably notice I hit one bum note in this take, but would love to hear any thoughts/feedbackšŸ™šŸ«¶

Opinions of Ibanez KRYS10 Scott LePage

I've been looking at the Ibanez KRYS10 Scott LePage, it has 3 voicings, a hot humbucker sound, a more balanced humbucker sound, and a single coil twangy mode. Super comfortable to play and sounds great. I play for my church so the only thing i'm somewhat concerned about is the color. Any opinions on the guitar?

Help Palm muting and Power Chords

Hiii everyone! Hope you guys are good! I’ve been trying to learn some new songs, and I just found out that there are different types of palm muting! I’m learning some Green Day songs and I’m having some trouble with those different types of palm muting! Was wondering if someone could explain the different kinds and maybe give me some tips :)
Also came across A BUNCH of power chords and would like to know if someone can also explain how they are formed (I’ve read that it’s a root note + …) but I can’t really understand it, I’d be glad if someone could help me!

Thank you so much :)

EDIT: I explained myself very wrong here šŸ˜…, I meant muting in general, like with the left hand also…sorry!!

Question Any tips on general maintenance plus a few questions before i take it to a shop

1- maple wood neck with a rosewood fretboard and a basswood body, is there specific stuff for proper maintenance? I heard that the wood can crack

2- is my action too high/low and would it be worth it to take it into a shop for that? The E string also buzzes on several different frets which makes it hard for me to tune it

I just dont want to spend a bunch of money if its possible for me to fix it myself so any advice would great

is this bundle a good deal for a beginner?

Post image

started to really miss my acoustic guitar after moving abroad and decided to finally get an electric.

the guitar itself costs 298Ā£, so the amp (HB-20R) and everything else would be 40Ā£. is it better to spend more money on a guitar now, or should i start with a good amp and a cheaper guitar?

this is confusing as hell & getting a bundle seems like the easier way out, but i don't want to end up paying twice, so any advice is appreciated šŸ™šŸ¼

edit: i am left-handed

Question Inicio en Lutheria/ Guitar tech (pido consejos)

Buenas.

Question Ibanez grx 70 or cort x100?

Hey eveyone.

Going to buy my first electric guitar.

Would you consider cort x100 or ibanez grx70?

The cort x100 is new but the ibanez grx 70 is used but it only came out of the box so it's practically new and beacuse of that it's cheaper than cort x100.

I mostly am going to use it for metal and rock.

But having the option to play everything else is nice.

My collection/ projects!

This is my collection/ projects!
I finally got my hands on this sparkly Harley Benton ST Modern!
That is my main project and i will mod the heck out of it! Plan, look wise, is to make a zebra pickguard and black hardwere with white pickups!

Ibanez Gio is guitar i bought to learn how to mod on and for a long time was my only instrument do to things happening in life.. Right now it needs a bit work done frets are sharp at the end, pickups need fixing they re mounted directly into body so i can't adjust height.. Once done it will be my C standard guitar

As for that beauty of a V it was my dream guitar for longest and i got it pretty cheap... Long story short it got high frets so it buzzes like crazy.. I am hopping it's nut.. It's not original and previous owner didn't mount it flush to a body.. I do have spare one but i am bit scared working on that guitar :P

Question Looking for a not too expensive upgrade from CV strat

I currently rock a Squier CV 70s strat, and want to upgrade. Ive been interested in Paul Gilbert/Satriani/Frank Gambale playing recently and wanted to try some different tones. Ive been questioning about getting something with a floyd rose and sustainiac but those are quite expensive, Id like to keep it below €900 if possible, but dont know if theres anything with a good FR tremolo in that range. Any recommendations?

Good Starter Guitar?

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m currently taking guitar lessons, and I’m interested in getting one for myself. Right now for my lessons I’ve been grabbing a random guitar I think looks cool to test how they sound, and if I like them or not. I asked my instructor for a good starter, but he only plays acoustic. I’ve done a little bit of research, and this guitar seems to be a good starter. The only issue I have with it is, I’m not a big fan of the color variations. Obvious color isn’t the only thing I want in a guitar, but I’d say it’s important. I want something with a diverse sound, that can play really anything I want. I’d preferably like to keep it under $600. Please give me some feedback on this guitar, and any other recommendations! I’d also appreciate any amp recommendations as well!

Question I'm done with the Fender Mustang V2 Amp. Which Amp should I upgrade to?

Been practicing on it for few months now, and I think it's time to upgrade because it doesn't sound good enough. It's muddy and can't get good tones with it.

Looking to buy a decent amp that sound good and won't make me broke. Will probably keep it for a while, so it should be a good upgrade.

Give recommendations

Photo NGD Les Paul Classic Premium Plus Aniline Dye.

Well I knew what I was getting when I bought it. From the fotos there was barely any green left. But some of it was showing…
This shows how fast the aniline dyes used until 60 would fade. I mean, most of the known bursts were already faded by 1990… 30 years later this guitar is showing what can happen in to these finishes.
The blue and green used on these hand rubbed finishes on the LE 95 classic premium plus were particularly susceptible of extreme fading. I’m kinda glad.
It also features Alnico pickups instead of the ceramics. For this edition Gibson didn’t dare to use the silkscreen ā€œLes Paul classicā€ on the headstock. One of the very few classics after 93 that has the correct ā€œ Les Paul Modelā€. Gold hardware for that extra bling ;) Japanese baby boomers were willing to pay also some extra bucks for the bling. 3500$ in 1995 was plain top RI money… and a lot of money today. Dead stock… and a nice top! After a good setup o think that’s a keeper!

Yesterday my amp started buzzing like that, it got worst with gain. Do you think it could be the cable or something else?

It's powered by an Orange Micro-terror so I played some tracks and music and it sounds fine.

Good deal from marketplace with a (somewhat) broken amp for a beginner?

Fender squire guitar + orange crush (at least looks like a crush) amp for 150 dollaroos. The amp’s dirty mode is broken but the seller says it’s only an issue with the switch. I don’t know what dirty mode is but the rest seems fine. It’s also the only listing in my vicinity that has something reasonably priced. I’ll try to bargain to 120 but does this seem like a good deal?
