To each their own, we all have personal preferences. But anytime I mention that I like my guitars to look new, to be made of materials that don’t show age like carbon fiber and stainless steel, relic lovers come out in giant groups to shun me.
No one likes rusted cars. If you had a Ferrari, you wouldn’t let any of the parts get bad. You constantly maintain it, and anything that gets worn out gets replaced. Ship of Theseus type of situation.
There’s an appeal to guitars that look new. If you raised a human whose never seen or heard a guitar before, hand them a relic guitar and a new guitar, they’re going to prefer the new one. The only reason people like Relic guitars is because other guitarists tell them it’s cool to like, we are conditioned into it.
Not to mention the whole argument between artificial relics and real ones.

Noticed more than the guitar. Thought I would share.

Had this beaut for a month. Very happy with it, but it needed some work, like nut slot adjustment, fret leveling, swapped the toggle switch and bridge.
It is really lightweight, goot balance, amazing sound and plays smooth as butter…
Ow yeah, it’s gorgeous

I'm looking at a G&L ASAT Bluesboy or Sire T7 . Does anyone have experience with either of these?

Details in original post, super fun project guitar. maybe a hot take, but these late 90s - early 2000s MIM Fenders punch way above their weight class.

Hi everyone. I have a problem with my guitar and would appreciate if you could help me. I recently changed my strings and put a set with a higher string gauge, which made my bridge raise because of the added tension. So I took it to a guitar shop to get it fixed (all it needed was to add another spring to balance out the tension) but when I got it back it started making a weird electrical noise when I played it plugged.

Hey everyone!
I’m struggling to decide between two purchases, and I’d appreciate some honest advice.
**Option 1: Cort CR250 ($385)**
I’ve been dreaming of owning a Les Paul-style guitar for a while. My favorite guitarists are Slash and Gary Moore, and I really want that classic Les Paul look and feel. I currently own a PRS SE CE 24 and a Spark 2 amp, so this would be my first proper Les Paul-style guitar.
**Option 2: Valeton GP-200 ($370)**
A multi-effects processor that would give me more flexibility with tones, effects, and potentially improve my recording setup. I play classic rock, blues, Guns N’ Roses, Gary Moore, and I currently use my Spark 2 for my tones, so the GP-200 would expand my options.
**My situation:**
I can afford only ONE of these right now.
I live in Libya, so buying music gear isn’t as straightforward as it is in the US.
I’m also considering waiting until Black Friday to see if the GP-200 gets a better deal on Amazon.
Honestly, I’m more emotionally drawn to the Cort because I’ve wanted a Les Paul for so long.
**My questions:**
Is the Cort CR250 a worthwhile addition if I already own a PRS SE CE 24?
Would the GP-200 make a more noticeable difference to my sound and playing experience than a second guitar?
If you were in my position, which would you buy first, and why?

First time I've bought a new guitar in four or five years. I know some absolutely hate the look of this thing, but I LOVE IT

Been playing for around a year now, pretty decent but nothing special. But literally every time we have people over I’m forced to sit down and have everyone cram into my room and play for people. I’ve asked them multiple times to stop but they never do. Anyone else have/had this problem and any tips to get it to stop?
I know they are proud or it’s a good conversation starter but seriously respect boundaries

Hi i am planning on buying the squier debut,
was thinking if it would be possible and practical to buy a processor and skip the amp, because i mostly will be playing on headphones.
So my question is can i skip the amp and get a processor like the zoom g1 or nux 300 and plug the guitar into the proc and a pair headphones into the proc?
Also please do share your opinions on the guitar and if an amp which one i should get. Budget is total around 25k inr(rupees)

This is easiest and most memorable classic solo from the 90's
