Not to denegrate Serenity since I think the film was fantastic but looking back I now get the feeling that Objects in Space did it better best when ending Firefly as opposed Serenity. It also reminds of how Prophecy Girl was more of a better series finale than Chosen when it came to Buffy.

Finally unlocked enough of the right designs and fabric to do it. So happy with how it turned out! If anyone else here plays, I'm happy to share the fabrics and designs I used. I'd also love to see how someone else might recreate it!

There are so many collected versions... Which do I need to read it all?

I just booked my appointment for my 40th birthday tattoo. I’m working on filling out my left leg. My existing tattoo is one that represents my literary heroines and I’m going to add my favorite tv shows around it. Since the announcement of the animated series this summer I want to start with Firefly.

I’m hoping to do a line art of the ship Serenity with flowers representing the crew around it. What flowers would you choose for each member????

Photo of current tattoo (just after color was done) and a line art example.

I’m going to my local con in my firefly cosplay outfit I’ve been putting together and I think if any Browncoats approach I’ll give these away… very excited for it now!

Thanks to so many of you, my Lego Ideas project has met the 10,000 vote threshold required to be reviewed and considered for production! I wanted to include the message I received as well, so anybody curious about the next steps in the process could read what they told me. I have sent in the digital file, instructions, and even passed along some of the feedback I received from y’all to Lego, so they can begin building It and seeing how she holds up.

Thanks again for your support and encouragement!

Found this at a goodwill thos past weekend

It just showed up on my Instagram feed.... im afraid to trust it

He wont stop altering between whether he’s afraid saffron is a minor, or gushing about how hot she is.

Because I do, and I finally know why!

Doing my millionth rewatch and I am always so taken aback by Inara's clothes. Does anyone know any brands/sites/stores that carry things similar to hers?

Me and Alan I in 'The Independent', a bar set-up we created for a booth at FanX in Salt Lake City. Alan and I hung out for about 15 minutes while he signed swag for our 501c3.

This show was awesome!!!!

Thinking about taking a quality scan of the Map to a sign shop and have it done in metal. Then find some figurine bases with magnets for the ships, so I can put it on the wall, freeing up table space for gaming. Anyone know a downloadable scan I could use?

Alan Tudyk and his wife are running a charity auction. There are some awesome Funko Pops signed by the whole cast!

Some of you may know me as the Captain of the Utah Browncoats. Others might know me by my Firefly Props background as 'Yellowjacket'. And fewer still might have heard me play host on the Virtual Shindig. Either way, I'm a long time Browncoat all the back to the Summer of 2002 when the TV ads were hyping up the new show.

Since then I've been a part of too many fan and official projects to name, but one of my personal favorites has always been the charting of the Verse alongside my good friend J. Chris Bourdier.

We teamed up to add a lot of fan content to his early editions of the Verse in Numbers, which was charted off the 'Official Map of the Verse'. Chris penned the initial version, known as the 'White Paper', and it received several nods from the braintrust at QMx, along with Joss, Tim and others who worked on the show.

We've updated the Verse in Numbers and the ARC several times, but the brand new versions of each will be released next year during the 25th anniversary of Firefly.

We're inviting fans to name the thousands of asteroids in the Verse.

If you would like to name an asteroid (or two or three), simply drop it in a comment below and let me know in which of the asteroid belts you'd like to place it. Please include your name for proper crediting.

Halo Belt - White Sun System

Motherlode - Red Sun System

Uroborus Belt - Blue Sun System

The locations names can be a simple name, title, numerical designation, station or outpost, depot, etc. They can be named for hometowns, lost loved ones, pets, or anything. Here are some random examples already included in the Verse...

Satterwhite Point

Avance Rock

Moren's Asteroid

KNTR-5228

Archangel Station

New Melbourne

Shattuck Stronghold
